I thought this thread would be fun to make. Plus, any of you who have any questions regarding this guild, questions regarding guilds in general or how to make your guild more successful... Or if you simply want to ask a person who admits to being intelligent what the meaning of life is... Then, this thread could definitely benefit you! [Unless you really think I hold the ever-elusive key to the meaning of life... Then, I don't know, you're just weird. ]

You Ladys have alot of peopel in this Guild. I was woundring how did you get so many to join?

I have my onw Guild with my Buddy Gin WolfyChan its called Paws of Love and we have 30 ppl and noly 5 are active gonk .

And I even did coneste they wanted to in all but no one is being acitve VV

Well you know how awesome elysia is at hosting contests? One of her biggest ones was a recruiting contest. She'll have to get back to you on how the details worked out, but it greatly increased our numbers. blaugh

My question is...
What spurred you to create a guild like this one?

Yep! It should be up & running soon. But It'll definitely happen, & the prizes will stay the same.

There will not, however, be a forth round.

You've got to be doing a wholllee bunch of things right in order to start a guild in September & have over 6,500 members -- & have your guild be in the middle of the second page of the guild registry -- by the beginning of January wink

The two main things I actively did to get a notable amount of members for this guild, however, were --
1. Early on in this guilds existence, I held a member contest that offered huge prizes. That's what really got this guild goin' & "movin' on up" blaugh
2. Sending out a lot of guild invites.

Well, I wanted my own guild for quite a while, but the problem I kept running into was that I had no idea what on earth I wanted to focus the guild on... or what it should look like, what it should "feel" like, what to name it... I just knew I wanted a @#$&#xin;g guild.
In a brief PM I sent to Rio like 2 months before I even made this guild I randomly told her "LETS MAKE A GUILD". & Rio said "Okay! What should it be about?" ... or something to that effect. I first described wanting a guild that was about real people & real life & not people's avatars etc. etc. , then I described wanting a charity guild that was all about people's avatars etc. etc.
So, when I finally ended up making a guild, I just decided to include everything. I wrote the original description of this guild [which is still on the homepage, but edited some], which did set the whole course of action & whatever for Burn, based on my own weirdness, my own weird style of writing, & writing a guild description that was different, & that would catch people's attention.
This guild is largely a reflection of me. I wanted to make this guild, above all, "Kayla-styled". So I just did what I did & didn't focus much at all on what anybody else thought. I guess a very good example of that is the name "Burn". Come on, you have to admit, that's a freakin' weird name for a Gaia guild. But the name meant something to me, & was really all about me, & things in my life that I never bothered trying to get anyone to understand.
