Standing on the edge of her family's territory blue eyes pierced the darkness before them. She had gotten an earful from Rook about her leaving unexpectedly and how she shouldn't because she was a runt... Gawain as well since it was his duty to protect his family and he couldn't if she didn't stay nearby at least.
Kelda sighed they weren’t able to understand, but that was partly her fault for not telling anyone about how she felt. Once again Kelda set off to find something to prove herself to her family, she had too... No one would believe in her if she didn't.
She was gaining some confidence as she grew though never showed it to anyone inside her family lest she'd hurt her older brother. Though one day it would have to happen that she would tell him that she was no longer the 'runt' he thought she was...
The hound glanced around her once more finding herself in unfamiliar surroundings.

 Axel was not wearing his usual grin today for at the moment he was faced with boredom and monotony, two of the more annoying situations he often found himself in when alone to his own devices for too long. Mind you, he wasn't very moral and often drove off other Helhounds with his antics, the main derivative of his socalled fun, but the solitary life truly was confining in its own right for him in that he was faced with too much time to ponder things - an action that more often than not would ruin his games, for he sadly was not born without some semblance of a conscience.
To will away his lethargy, Axel began to hum a tune, mismatched paws treading the ground with light steps to the lively tune, his head tossing slightly this way and that to the rhythm, crimson hair bouncing, thick tail a'swinging and the fire-charm a'swaying. He was unaware that he was currently quite, quite lost with direction, only that just up ahead lay a black and white female who seemed just as disoriented as he should be. Some of the characteristic grin returned as he neared. "Someone looks lost."

Kelda couldn't help but here the one making a strange racket from nearby. And that one was getting closer; Kelda glanced up toward the fiery hound. He certainly was strange especially with hair like that. He spoke and Kelda responded by shaking her head slowly, though her surroundings at the moment where unfamiliar she was able to trace her sent back home.
At least he wasn't as obnoxious as the femme hunting hound she met the other day pulling that peculiar hound out from the tree, At least for now anyway.
The black and white femme noticed he seemed more lost than she and she gave a little laugh. "You seem more lost than I" she observed with a quiet voice.

"Then get your eyes checked. I'm fine with direction," he argued, still with that smirk. The hound trotted up, his tune to be carried later on, once this one had either been scared off or he grew too bored, and began to encircle her slowly, hindering her path. "You, though, you look like you're that one missing pup that strayed from the pack," Axel commented, jade eyes scanning her seemingly frail figure. Didn't seem like she could put up much of a fight if worse came to worse. "Not very smart to run away if you ask me."

Kelda didn't respond to the initial insult, it didn't matter he was just being haughty. Her clear blue eyes watched warily as he circled, she moved forward and around. Why where males always obnoxious? She couldn't understand they should be kind like her eldest brother.
She paused looking back and growled, this was not Rook and that hound was unrelated to her. Kelda would take no insult from him. "How dare you." she said coldly defending herself, the femme spun around to face the other hound. If her parents ever saw they would be astounded, so would Rook. That's all she needed one of them to come by at this instant.
"One! I never ran away, I am going to return when I am ready. Two! I will judge if it was smart of me to leave or not and Three Don't EVER judge me by my outward appearance." Kelda burst, she always held everything in when she spoke to her brother, she had enoungh of it. She didn't need that from another hound.

For a moment he paused and cocked his head at her as though she were an boring yet bright piece of art that had been revealed from behind curtains, ears tilting backwards as she barraged him with a small list of reasons why he should - of all the silly things - not toy with her temper. Axel had the audacity to reply to her anger smoothly, "Can't take a tease or two? Someone has issues." He did, however, stop encircling her and remained in one place, sitting delicately on his haunches so that the strangely spiked ornaments on his paws did not dig too deeply in his fur. "It's called making chit-chat: I'm bored. You're lost. Let's be friends, eh?"

Huffing from her sudden outburst she felt as though something had been pulled off her shoulders, like momentarily the weight had gone, she knew it was going to come back as soon as her returned home but still it made her feel better momentarily. She glowered at the male sitting before her. He didn’t even apologize for making fun of her! Granted she would let Rook escape with that but no one else.
“Yes I can take a tease or two” she responded mockingly still angry “I have my entire life and I don’t need it from you.” She started forcing herself to calm down; yelling wouldn’t get her anywhere… only instigate more.
Kelda frowned “I’m not lost,” she pointed out bluntly still irritated she threw her bangs out of her face and took a deep calming breath. Why all of a sudden would he want to be friends, to tease her more?
“Fine lets be friends.” She responded watching him carefully again

"Too easy." Several teeth poked from his grin, ears relaxing as he allowed his curiosity to be piqued. Sob-stories weren't Axel's style, but to satisfy his boredom would mean taking sacrifices in the long run: such as actually trying to take an interest in the lives of his fellow Hellhounds. "So what's this? You're out and about saying you're not lost, but you look pretty alone for a gal that knows her directions. You said you didn't run away, but now you've just told me that you've dealt with teasing all your life? Sounds fishy to me." The fiery one cocked one brow at her, eyes-half lidded for maximum smirk effect as he gave her a sort of "are-you-serious" look.

"I never said I trusted you, nor have I let my guard down." Kelda said simply still standing a distance away from him; she wasn't going to take any chances.
"I tolerate my Brother's teasing for his own sake" she growled "It's not enough to make me run away, I'm just looking for something." she paused then added "What I'm looking for is none of your concern so don't ask."
Kelda smirked "SO because I am alone you automatically thing that I'm lost, Typical" she rolled her eyes. “You look more lost than I do.” She said.

"And here I thought friends were supposed to trust each other," he drawled, seeming to pout for a moment as if hurt before the grin returned once more. "I can't be lost if I have no destination, blackie. I've been around here a lot, though, so if you're really looking for something, well . . . maybe I can help." Axel didn't seem to have heard her comment about not asking. He retorted with this sort of logic: why bother mentioning it if you don't want others to ask?

Kelda glared at him "Only if you where someone trustworthy." Kelda said simply she sighed ok well that logic about him being not lost I suppose was alright. "Fine you’re not lost." Kelda agreed finally "And my name's not blackie it's Kelda."
And she though she just said not to ask! He asked anyway.... And even offered to help, Hah yeah right.
"I really doubt you could." she finished.

"Kelda, huh." He echoed this with a grin, not with the satisfaction of finally knowing her name, but at the small win over the arguement of him not being lost. "Well all right then, Kelda, how are you going to start trusting others if you just shut them out like that, eh? I've been around a lot, you know, so there's a good chance that I just might know what you're going on about. Wouldn't call it a good idea to walk around closed-minded like that." Ah, the teases just kept spilling forth; Axel couldn't help himself.

"If you would," Kelda said "Tell me you name." Well he was rude, he didn't even give her, his own name. She growled coldly "I trust most people except people like you," What was it with him, he wouldn't stop teasing her he might even be 'worse' than Rook. Ok no one was worse than Rook.
"And I'm not closed minded either..." She narrowed her odd-blue eyes. "I still don't believe you know what I'm going on about." she mocked irritated again, her fur bristled.
"Stop Teasing me!" Kelda growled

Axel chuckled, shaking his head slightly. Too easy. He decided to let up for just a little bit. "Name's Axel. Got it memorized?" he replied with a wide smirk. "Seems like you don't have much fun in life, Kelda. What's someone like you doing out here by yourself anyway? I hope you know what you're looking for, because this place is huge. Pretty easy to get side-tracked."
