Grr... Stupid Marley. While I was typing out her history in my journal, she decided that Mana was her older brother. *headdesk* Oh well, best just to roll with it. ^^ "YEAH, YOU BETTER RUN, YA' STUPID RABBIT!" Marley scowled after her 'prey', which was running far out of her reach, and no doubt laughing over its relatively easy escape. The large Purple-ish female hound flopped onto the ground, her cyan hair falling around her shoulders messily. "I'm just too darn tired to hunt today," she grunted, her eyes falling shut as she rested upon the ground. Jagged rocks littered the ground beneath her, but she didn't mind. She'd been sleeping on rough stones ever since her childhood, and they were now her preferred sleeping choice. If the ground was too soft - as it had been in the place where she lay down to sleep the night before - she couldn't sleep a wink, which was why she was now so tired. Normally, 'Snarley Marley's anger was a key motivator, making her a pretty good hunter - though she was often a bit lacking in the area of stealth. Today though, she was simply too tired to try and really go after a fast-moving meal...

The purple hound ran, his wizard's cap tucked neatly over his horns. The rabbit he was chasing fled, all too aware that being a moment too slow would mean that he'd be lunch! The pair ran over the landscape of oblivion, only their vague movement visible in the endless fog of oblivion. Then, they came into an area where sharp stones covered the ground, and Mana stopped short, wincing and giving little yelps of pain as the hard rock hurt his paw.
"No fair!" he cried as the rabbit continued onward, not in the least deterred by the harsh ground. "No fair! No fair! I can't run on these rocks! They're all... sharp-ey!"
He sat down, a scowl on his face as he watched his dinner run away. His stomache growled. "Oh.... Hungry," Mana groaned aloud. He hadn't eaten since yesterday, and yesterday's meal had been the first in nearly three days. He just wasn't skilled at hunting! He was smaller than most hounds, so that most mistook him for a child... Mana himself often thought of himself as a child, for didn't kids always have the most fun? Except when they were starving to death, of course...
"I need food," he groaned to himself, unaware that anyone was near enough to hear him throw his little temper tantrum...

Marley's eyes shot open. She bared her teeth, growling. She got to her feet, anger rolling off of her in waves. "WHO'S MAKING ALL THAT RACKET?!" She yelled at the sky. Her call was so furious, it seemed as though the sky might actually be compelled to answer...
Unfortunately, Marley was too impatient to wait for any answer that might be coming; she stormed off through the mists, searching for the cause of the noise that was keeping her from her sleep.
"...--t fair, Not Fair, NOT FAIR!" The sound grew louder as she approached the place where the jagged rocks began. "Whoever you are, knock it off! Can't a girl get FIVE MINUTES of beauty sleep before some little brat wakes her up?" Marley roared, bursting out of the mist and fixing her eyes on the smallish hound before her. A young one.
Her breath caught.
It wasn't a young one; it was an adult hound, who looked like a child... A pointy cap was fixed over its horns, and as it turned to face her, with a startled expression on its face, Marley felt a flash of recognition.
"Mana?" She gasped, stunned. Then a wide grin spread over her face, and she bounded forward, tackling the male with glee. "Mana! Is it really you?!!!"
