Sector Z is part of a trio of nebulas that appear in the shape of a letter, itself formed in the shape of a giant Z. Of the other two sectors, Sector Z is in fact the most dangerous, despite its smaller size and less amount of magnetic radiation. This is in part because the sector is strewn with the wreckage of an earlier battle.
