How many of you have actually gotten out and been able to see a band? If you haven't, who would you have liked to see? Maybe you're just happy with local shows?
My first one was N'sync when I was nine or ten xd I saw Dir en grey twice, once in 2007 in February in Boston when I was 14, and again in 2008 in November in Boston while I'm 16.

I was on a few concerts off some local bands. One of my best friends is the vocalist of one of the bands and I also know all the other band mmebers. xD But they're actually pretty small and unknown to the rest of the world. :>
And I'll be on a nightwish concert this march.

I like seeing my friends' bands. You have to start somewhere.
Where's the nightwish one? I've only heard one song by them so I can't really say I like them yet :/

The concert is in Erfurt (Germany). :3 They changed their vocalist so you may find 2 differnt "styles" of songs from the band. You can look on youtube for them. ^^ They have some really nice on their new album, like Amaranth, Islander etc. and some cool older songs are "Over the Hills and far away", "End of all Hope", "Planet Hell", and a lot more... xD

Ooh, you're in Germany? Sie spriechen die Deutsch? Bleh.. The only one I heard was actually Amaranth. I wasn't aware they changed their singers, though :/
I don't know, I tend to gravitate towards male singers, but I'll look up those songs you specifically listed. Thanks 3nodding

I also listen to more male singers than female... The reason could be that I listen to a lot of metal... sweatdrop But symphonic metal is cool with feamle singers. 3nodding
And yes, Ich spreche deutsch. wink But not in this game. ^^

Oh yeah, metal. I love Dani.
Within Temptation is really symphonic, The Agonist, In this Moment, Arch Enemy, Otep... Those are the first that come to mind, although I don't like all of them. Dimmu Borgir is too 3nodding Of course that's a guy. Would you say Nightwish is symphonic? Still haven't gotten to listening to them yet.
I know I'm being off-topic. Sorry. xd

ermmm I'm not sure what I would put Nightwish in... maybe a little Gothic-Symphonic-Opera-Thingy. xD But Within Temptation is cool. biggrin But Arch Enemy too. Even if it's not Symphonic it suppose...^^;
Never heard of Dimmu Borgir though... but I just listened to them at youtube. whee And love them. biggrin You know Ensiferum? They're pretty cool too.

I actually find Arch Enemy a little monotonous. I had them on my ipod for a while but then I realized every song sounded the same. I've never heard of Ensiferum, but they sound German (?) I will listen, yeah.

Arch Enemy is monotonous. :> But funny. xD Nothing for too long. ^^ And Ensiferium is... well I have no clue... but I think it's from a more northern country. smile Like... dunno... Finland? But not sure, it's just a guess.

~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ I went to 93x Fest when I was 13 (21 now, so quite a few years ago), which was my first concert really (except for the one I went to when I was like 9 or 10, Smashing Pumpkins)
93x Fest was a 2-day thing with TONS of bands. The ones I liked were Static-X, Coal Chamber, Incubus, Hoobastank, and Deadsy. I was quite surprised when I got punched in the face out of nowhere! lol
Then a few years later I went to Ozzfest. I saw Marilyn Manson, which was definately something else <3 and Korn, Disturbed, Dimmu Borgir, Motograter, and of course Ozzy.
I was supposed to go to Ozzfest the past 2 years but they keep canceling it sad

Uhm...my first concert was Cher when I was 12. ^-^; I've also seen Mariah Carey, Jewel, Hilary Duff, Britney Spears, Shania Twain, Boys Like Girls, Avril Lavigne, Skye Sweetnam, Flyleaf, and Kalafina. I'd love to see Paramore when they release a new album.
