Amie's office is located near the back of the hospital, and she is considered the "Chief of Medicine" for the building. However, she does no assume herself better then any other member of her staff, and will tend to the normal duties of the facility. She takes patients as much as anyone else. The emergency room is a hell butterfly away, and Amie tries to be there whenever it get's a patient.

Her office is large enough, with a big curving purple desk, and white walls and floors. On her wall, she has a large white board with a copied patient list. Name, room, ect. Next to her desk is a large filed cabinet, that houses patient data and records. Her room always has a floral scent, as she like to keep several flowered plants about. Her name is carved in gold letters on the door, while the door itself is purple. Adjacent to the door, and to the right of the desk, is a large window. Finally, she has her own bathroom, which is to the left of the door, and adjacent to her desk.

A small figure could be seen at the door of the captain’s office, she stood brown hair reaching to her knees, Zanpakutou at her back and a captain’s haori been worn. Sparkling orange eyes wondered around the room for a slim moment as Aki slowly tiptoed into the room. Her rosy cheeks where faintly pale unusual for Aki, it would seem that she was drained slightly.
Paws came from behind her; the little golden dog was concerned he practically dragged Aki by her captain’s haori. Aki realized that the captain wasn’t here, “Kay.. We wait then.” Aki looked down to the fuzzy dog. Aki didn’t hoped that the captain wasn’t too busy, since she wasn’t at her office at this time. The little captain sat on the floor next to Stay the golden dog; she leaned on him waiting patiently for the captain to arrive.

A gust of wind from the open door would blow a small piece of paper directly into the small girl's face. The tape had lost it's sticky edge, and it was no wonder it gave. On it, written in neat small hand writing, was a message.

Hello, I'm sorry I'm not in my office right now. I am in room 23, a hallway down, teaching a Chiyudo class. If you need to reach me, please come see me, or send me a hell butterfly.

Don't know when I'll be back!

Aki looked at the small paper, “I knew it I knew it!” she showed the little dog the paper, he whined slightly. “She’s busy, oh no’s… well I guess it’s not that important we can always come back” Aki looked to Stay the golden dog. He barked in annoyance to Aki not that important…. Silly little girl he thought. Aki searched for a pen, and began writing on the pale piece of paper. “Sorry sorry sorry, we didn’t want to be a bother. Well catch chu again okies!?” Aki placed the paper on the desk, and held it down by one of her colour fruit candies, wrapped in delicate white paper. With this, she walked to the door making her exit back to her own squad. Aki picked up Stay at the door way “heavy fuzzy doggy” she squeaked while struggling to carry him. When she regained her balance, Aki shunpo’d back to her own squad office, the little captain hoping to see the captain of the 4th squad sometime soon.

Amie shunpoed in front of her office, confused, angry, and depressed. She walked through the door, and gently shut it behind her. She stood in front of her office for a moment, lost on what to do. With a sluggish step, she walked over to her desk, and sank into her chair. Amie rested her head in her arms on the hard cool surface, and let herself fall into and even more dreary state. She had so much on her mind. She didn't want to think about her dad, or the events that transpired. She didn't want to think at all. Her body gave a small shudder, as she allowed a few more tears to flow down her cheeks. She needed time to mourn the facts she learned tonight.

The rain gently tickled his face, dripping from the rooftop and landing squarely upon his head. He sighed lightly, a little nervous about what to do, but just took another deep breath before stepping closer to Amie's door. There was never an easy way to do this and he didn't need to be tripsing about waiting for her to open up to him. That would only lead to aggrivation and annoyance. Besides, they were always there for each oher in their times of need. So just getting through all the riff-raff quicky wouldn't hurt the outcome.

A hand slowly came up to knock on the door. If one could sense sorrow through reitsu it would never be a secret, but Mabushii could definitely feel something n pain beyond tese doors. It never sat well with him. "Amie-san." He tried to sound a little upbeat, but it came out more like a tone of utter worry than he'd planned it to be. No stopping now. "Are you in there, dear?" His hand gently touched the side of the door, but did not open it, respecting her decision to let him in without question.

A firm knock on the door awakened Amie from her small trance. She reached outward, to see if she could identify the source. Mabushi nii-san. I should have known. It was...comforting. But she hated letting him see her in such a way. She couldn't help it tonight. He called out twice, and she ran her hands through her hair. "Yes, I'm in here Mabushi." She answered, finally. A silent invitation. She could almost sense his weight on the door, anxious to push it open. A part of her was glad for the company. But not for the sense of not not being alone. Had it been her grandmother who touched upon her door, she doubted she would have let her in. Mabushi was... a safety net. She trusted him with everything. However, she was slightly hesitant for him to come in. She hated burdening him with her own troubles.

The hand that lay upon the door pressed in, causing the door to bend to his will as his other hand proceeded to push it into the slot housing provided for it. The door creaked slightly, but then fell silent as he stood there in the doorway looking in. Mabushii attempted to smile, but the worry still showed before being hidden as he turned around to close the door. The face return to look in at Amie, his body stepping closer to her. " I felt you leave before we even got a chance to enjoy the evening. Is something wrong, dear?" He was now beside her desk, loking down at her, but only for a short-lived moment. He bent down into a kneeling position in front of her and gently laid his hand on her leg, squeezing it lightly in a comforting motion. "I'm here if you need to talk about it. Whatever it is, just get it off your chest." This time the smile was genuine, still filled with worry, but much more optimistic in its cause.

[Enters in from Squad 2 captain's office]

It was dark, pitch black. The room lay stagnate with dust collecting on everything but the shelving by the great window behind the captain's chair. The door creaked, whining and groan as if it were a youngster being prodded from the domicidle of sleep. Light stretched out across the wooden flooring as a shadow appeared before it, coaxing the light back into the hallway leading from the reception area. Quietly Mabushii slipped inside and turned around to hold onto the door frame as to not let anyone know he had been in here, a blanket flung over his head as if he were part of a convent or some other religious organization. Judaism came to mind. The door sighed this time and made no sound aside from a muffled shunk as Mabushii released the handle and locked the door behind him. He turned and slowly began to shuffle his way towards the long unoccupied desk, reaching forward to turn the desk lamp on low before walking around to the plush seat that once belonged to Captain Amie. With a sigh he sat down, coughing slightly as he waved a hand in the air in front of him to ward off dust mites and hair that was not his.

And then it came. Locked away inside his haori. The book fromYomiko's office and her old haori. Mabushii held the folded up article to his face and took a deep breath to remind himself Yomiko was still in there somewhere. She had to be if he was going to find her one day. And he hoped that day would be soon. Things had just gone to hell in a hand basket after her banishment. He missed her. A lot. Still a fresh wound in his heart.

Moon light danced silently on his back now as he placed the journal upon the desk and opened it up. 'Page 1'. His eyes scanned the text. '...I feel warm and cozy here in my own little world of sand and sun..." Several hours passed by, like minutes to Mabushii who still had his face plastered to Yomiko's journal, eyes now wide as bowling balls as the text came to a climatic twist in dialogue. "...Test subject # 142 seems to be reacting to the transformation with much gustow, accepting everything I give it with only a blood thirsty scream that could be heard for miles if not for the insolation I had installed awhile back. Cute little monster he turned out to be..." "This no longer amuses me. I have lost most of the interest I had when I had first started this, as most of the subjects have perished at the hands of their cellmates. I knew it was a bad idea to examine their behavioral aspects with other specimens, but I can't work with this few...I need more."

Mabushii couldn't read much more now, eyes heavy with sorrow and fatigue. He shut the book after dog-earing the page he was on and pushed it aside with a last ditch effort to rid himself of an unwanted nightmare. He leaned back in the chair and sank into the plush even more than before, eyes peering up at the ceiling. "What have you done, Yomiko?" Things slowly began to connect now. Things he still refused to accept, but couldn't totally purge from his mind. There was just, just....too much information he never knew. And it hurt. Right here. His hand came up to gently rest on his chest, fingers lightly gripping the fabric around his heart. 'Oh please, Yomiko, dear. Why?' And then the tears began again, quiet sobs echoing throughout the dimly lit room as the sun began to swallow the night; and day changed everything. The dawn of a new perspective arising.

The tears subsided, for now. Mabushii felt the weight of his next task come into play, like an ant job-shadowing Atlas, as he tried to sit up in the plush seat. His hand came up wipe his face clean, but merely managed to move the mess from his cheks to the back of his hand. He fussed a little with this and eventually conceeded to its will, prying himself from Amie's chair over to a basin on the side table that always occupied the room since before even her time. A fresh pail of water was set out beside it, as it was everyday by an unseated, but dedicated member of Squad 4. Mabushii couldn't help, but smile at their devotion to their work even in his time of despair. Even as his world crumbled around his knees the nameless masses of Ami-no...his squad continued to preform dutifully on a daily basis.

Graceful fingers caressed the jug, lifting it in both hands as it was tipped forward over the basin. Water pout slowly from its mouth as it drained into the bottom and began to quickly fill up to the bowl's maximum volume capacity. Mabushii set the jug back down and leaned in, cupping water in both hands and splashing it to his face, wiping gingerly at the smugged make-up and dried tears before turning on his hands and wiping away all residue on their surfaces as well. His task done, he turned to a pile of fresh towels and plucked the first one off the top of the pile and brought it to his face to wipe away the dirty water. He took a deep breath and set the towel back down upon its brothers before turning back to the desk, planning to collect his things that he had left upon its top. The book, The blanket, Yomiko's haori, and the desk lamp. All things were rplaced and all objects previously not there were packed into Mabushii's person, making him feel fat, but not heavy.

One last look around the room. Nothing left out of place. He nodded to himself and unlocked the door, heading out to the courtyard infront of Squad 4 headquarters after shutting the door. There he found himself looking to the sky, right hand raised as he waited patiently for his little flying friend, the hell butterfly. He looked away for a second, but then realised it had already landed on his finger while he wasn't paying attention. Sneaky little bugger. And now, with everything he had come with, his transportation ready, and no need to grab a gigai that still belonged to the Soul society. He didn't need to take anymore away from them.

One last sigh. The hell butterfly lifted from his finger and drew forth, opening a gate into the world of the living before fluttering in itself. He took one last look around and then stepped inside himself. Goodbye.
