Kashin sat in the arena awaiting his combatant. It had been a while since he had the option to spar with a fellow ninja. The excitement about him was to a calm as he waited. It would not be long but was anxious to start.

A short while after Kashin arrived, his opponent Kei did also. The young jounin was dressed in a black yukata and black pants, as well as a pair of short boots. His long raven hair was pulled back in a short tail, and his iron gray eyes swept across the field before zeroing in on Kashin. Kei could tell the ANBU was eager to begin and smiled, he couldn't blame him; more than likely he was being overworked and he needed good fight to blow off some of the steam.
"Alright Kashin, I've arrived so we can begin." Shrugging his shoulder as he finished, a faint snap could be heard as Kei reached behind his back and grabbed the large fan he carried with him in his harness. Opening the fan to one third of its full width he looked at Kashin and nodded as he swept the fan forward and sent a concentrated bundle of air across the arena towards the ANBU.

Seeing the fan a large smile crept across his face. "Those fans bring back so many memories for me..." It made him think back to when he had faced Hids on multiple occasions. "You know me and Hids were great friends back before he left. I haven't fought a wind user since I faced the Ichijin. But we both know the wind styles of those two clans are far from the same..."
Kashin took the stance of a tai chi martial artist. This was gonna allow him to use wind jutsu on a greater level. As the concentrated air reached him he slowly moved his arm up and had literally split the air with another concentrated burst. It was weak though this one was merely for show.

Kei watched as Kashin bisected his air blast with a weaker one. "I see, Hids was a great instructor and I learned a lot from him before he left." Kei said as he walked to his left in a small arc so that he had the sun behind him. With a grin he tossed the fan into the air above him, and leaped up after it. The ground beneath kicked up dust, showing that he had used chakra to stimulate the jump and make it greater. With the sun at his back, he silhouetted himself against the bright light and made it difficult for Kashin to see him, especially since the time of day cast his shadow almost directly below him.
The fan opened up to its second star in its upward ascent so that when Kei grabbed it in midair, the massive weapon was ready. Swinging it downward, Kei pushed his chakra down his arm and out of his hand, mixing it with the air and released several currents of air. Each one became an extended sickle of sharp air that moved towards Kashin and some of his escape routes.

Kashin this time made a horizontal movement. This time at a much faster rate to increase its power. He merely countered Kei's attack with another large very concentrated blast of air. This time was to block not to break. This was Kashin's time to study. As he had stated before, it had been a while since he faced a wind user.
"Hids definitely taught you well and I wouldn't expect any less. Lets see though if you can do what he did and beat me. He is the only ninja I couldn't beat in battle. He is the one who kept me from winning any of the tournaments...."

Kei landed on top of the arena walls and looked down at Kashin as he settled his fan beside him. A breeze picked up and made the ends of his yukata undulate. "I'll take you up on that challenge." Kei said with a grin as he ran a hand through his hair. "But you mustn't forget, Hids wasn't the only one who taught me. Nekage did, Chaos did... Masamune did too." Kei said as he looked skyward on that last note with an almost regretful sigh.
Grabbing his fan he twirled it around to gain momentum as it opened to the full extent before sweeping it forward, and sending a roiling wave of air at Kashin. This descending column of air was swamped with cutting winds, and as it crashed into the ground; the blades of air exploded in every direction. Dashing to his left, Kei ran across the top of the wall and swung his fan spontaneously, releasing miniature tempests at Kashin.

While using his hands to bock and counter the blasts of wind, he stomped his foot causing walls of stone to rise up as shields when he could not defend with the tai chi. His was starting to understand the fighting style but needed to make sure.
"Well that is the perk of being a second generation of the new Gaioh. I had to teach myself, but I must say those are all phenomenal teachers. Even I trained under Chaos at one point. It is not something to be ashamed of. He was and probably still is one of the best..."

"Aye, he's a lot like a cockroach; every time you think you've killed him he manages to crawl away when you're not looking." Kei muttered as he came full circle and leaped out over the arena. Snapping his fan closed and hurling it in front of him; Kei worked his hands through a multitude of seals, simultaneously taking in a deep breath that expanded his lungs. Kei timed his jutsu perfectly so that when he was directly above Kashin, he faced down at him.
"One Thousand Wind Blades Technique!" Kei growled as he opened his mouth and released a column of wind, the tip of which appeared to have the head of a dragon. Its body consisted of closely packed blades of wind that began to defuse as it flew. Funneled by Kashin's stone shields the wind attacked barreled down directly on top of the ANBU.
Kei passed over the stone circle and landed on the wall directly across from where he had started from. His fan crashed into the wall just to his right and he grabbed the handle and pulled the massive weapon free from the wall as he turned around.

Kashin quickly unsheathed his sword. "Time for vengeance!" Leaving his tai chi quickly transformed his blade into the black steeled Vengeance. Seeing the dragon barreling down Kashin slashed upwards releasing a whole new move. A dragon of his own flew out from within his walls. This dragon was made of what appeared to be black flames. It hit Kei's dragon head on.
"Looks like keeping my defense is no longer an option..." Kashin spread his arms causing the walls that were surrounding him to shoot in every direction.

Kei watched indifferently as the walls of stone flew off and crashed into the walls below him. A small amount of chakra anchored him and prevented him from losing his balance. Instead he looked closely as Kashin's sword and the dragon he had used to counter his wind jutsu. 'Interesting, I bet Kashin was holding onto that for a rainy day.' Kei looked around and could see nobody gathered in the stands, he was grateful that the ANBU had requested that the gates be sealed and that minor ANBU over watched the entrances. No one was going to see his moves, or Kei's for that matter.
"I guess this isn't going to help anymore." Kei said to himself as he looked at his fan. Cracking open the handle, Kei selected one of the scrolls kept inside the hidden compartment and used the summoning technique to release his falchions. Holding the twin swords by their handles, Kei experimentally swung each blade and nodded to himself. Although the blades were not of legendary craftsmanship like the Ichijin blades, each one was made by the same master smith and held finely honed edges and were made from the best steel.
Lifting the falchions so that they created a large 'X', Kei swung the two blades as he pushed his chakra through them and released a massive cross shaped cutting wind.

"Another set of finely made Ichijin blades. I must be one of the last ninjas with a blade made from someone besides our famed black smith...." Kashin raised his blade cutting through the 'x' formed wind attack was cut in half with his continuing to Kei. "I hope you appreciate the privacy of this battle. I figured it would be nice to know that others can't study our attacks..."

Kei watched as Kashin's counter separated his attack and how the wind carved the ground to either side of him. One side shaped like an '>' and the other side an '<'. Swinging his left handed sword he intercepted Kashin's attack and sent it flying of course so that it crashed into the stands. "You are mistaken Kashin, these aren't Ichijin made; these two beauties were made by my family, the Norisu clan. In fact, these two were made by my grandfather." Kei said with a grin as he turned the blade a bit, although difficult to see from such a distance etched into the blade was a cumulus cloud with a hawk in the middle of it.
"I do appreciate the privacy though, I can go full out against an ANBU and no one but you and me will get to see it." Kei said with a smirk as he lowered his blades and looked down at Kashin. "You might even get to see the new technique I've been working on." Kei said as he stepped out onto empty air, for a moment it looked like he would drop off the edge but his foot seemed to find purchase in the air. An air platform beneath him, Kei lowered himself to the ground so that he was on a level field with Kashin.
Shooting forward, Kei swung his blades in a scissor maneuver designed to sheer limbs, break swords, or leave very nasty cuts. With his chakra flowing into the blades, should they be blocked or deflected bursts of air would continue towards the target.

Kashin shot backwards using chakra to help propel him. He grinned in excitement. "This is going to just get better and better..." He made it all the way to the back wall. With every second passing by he was formulating a new strategy.

Kei smirked as Kashin jetted backwards, he planted his left foot and pivoted on it so that he twisted around and halted his forward momentum so that Kashin could get as close to the wall as he could. Twirling his right hand, Kei slashed the blade not at Kashin but above him. The sickle of wind sliced through the rock wall above and detached a large chunk of stone that fell down towards Kashin.
Punching with his left hand, Kei redirected the flow of chakra so that it pulled in his left fist instead of the blade so that he could fire a concentrated mass of air. Manipulating the blast as it traveled, Kei shaped a cross of air that would be more difficult for Kashin to escape since the block of rock was falling down on top of him. After these moves, Kei did an internal check and decided that it would be a good idea to slow down a bit; he had a greater amount of chakra thanks to his many teachers enforcing the need for stamina and his plethora of styles required him to be capable of using them.
Right now, Kei was mainly using the offensive capabilities of his Tashu training and his Furious Wind style. But if he continued to dominate the offense he would quickly tire. 'Let's switch tactics, go to Ichijin maneuvers and combine it with Chaos' Two Hundred Proof technique, if I mix in a bit of Masa's fire moves with it I should be able to create a balance of offense and defense without expending myself as quickly' Kei thought to himself as he grounded his posture and changed his stance subtlety, marking a change in tactics for the moment.

Kashin slammed the ground with his foot once more causing himself to be encased in a stone bunker. He used the chunk Kei used to make a roof for it. This way the wind was blocked and the stone was removed from being a threat.
While on the inside Kashin had a new plan of action. Waiting for Kei's next attack he began to concentrate his chakra for a chakra cannon. Kei would not be able to see it, but then again neither could Kashin. It was time to plant himself for a offensive maneuver. Defense was okay but he couldn't let Kei have all the fun. He remained still waiting for Kei's next release of chakra to fire his cannon.
