Ryu finishes his drink and decides that he's had enough with the current 'atmosphere'. He looks to his left and to his right and sees the majority of the patrons have been replaced with Sezarian soldiers. A few of the soldiers look his way with a few smirks and a handful of laughter. He continues for the door, stepping outside and then leaning against the wall with a heavy sigh. The Sezarian occupation of Famera is really starting to turn things for the worse here. He leans his head back and lifts his right foot putting them both against the wall. One of the few places he didnt mind spending time at and this invasions ruined it for him.

About that time the soldiers from inside the bar come out snickering and muttering something bearly comprehensible before catching sight of Ryu. It was obvious they'd been drinking. Ryu casts a brief look over to the soldiers and then continues looking out into the city. He really wasnt in the mood to hurt anyone but these three had other plans. "Hey Red, whats the matter? Had enough to drink already?"

Another guard chimes in behind him "Ah it's not his fault he cant hold his liquor, these Fameran's are all such delicate people." He snorts loudly followed a round of very sloppy laughter and heavy breathing.

Ryu simply ignores the group and closes his eyes. Tonight is not the night boys. Dont test me... He tried to drown them out and hoped they would give up if he didnt respond.

Thanks to drinks in their systems the soldiers didnt quite get the hint. The third of the group comes into the conversation "Hey tough guy, we're trying to have a conversation here, whats your problem can't hear nothing or are you just to stupid to talk." That last part sent the group into an uproar of laughter.

With a sigh Ryu pushes off the walk and turns his back to the bunch of misfit soldiers, starting off down the road, still in silence. If you know whats good for you, you wont follow me.

The guards follow Ryu a few blocks and continue to snicker and chuckle about him behind his back. Finally with a heavy sigh Ryu spins about on his heels and tips his head to one side. "Don't the three of you have something important to screw up instead of harassing someone for no apparent reason?"

One of the guards starts rolling with laughter "It's about time you spoke up Red, we were trying to figure out whether you were deaf or just plain stupid." This comment sets the rest of the guards into a fit of drunken laughter.

By this time Ryu was beginning to get fed up with being taunted. "You know, I promised myself I wouldn't kill anyone here, but you guys just continue to make it increasingly difficult to go on." No sooner had a sigh left Ryu's lips than he had covered the distance between the two of them three incredibly fast jabs in each stomach and a swift kick took the three guards down and out cold. "If you three bother me again, you wont be getting back up..." With that Ryu stalks off into the night.

Ryu grits his teeth when he hears someone speaking from behind him. He closes his eyes a minute and tries to keep his composure. Spinning about on one heal he fully expects to see another Sezarian lush trying to harass him tonight but fortunately that wasn't the case. Quickly looking the man over he speaks "Thanks... What do you want?" Ryu was starting to let his last nerve show.

Ryu starts to scowl a little bit. "I'm not going to kill them if thats what your getting at stranger. I've made it a point not to kill these dogs." He crosses his arms over his chest and then asks with an iritated tone to his voice. "You didn't answer my question, what do you want?"

Ryu practically growled through his teeth, "I'm much more capable than he was as far as killing these guys but if I kill one of them... I dont care about this country, but that old man was one of the two people I have left. One of the two things I have left. I'm not going to bring war here for her sake. I'm not going to put the only family I have at risk..." He takes a moment and then almost literally disappears completely as he dashes down street and taking a turn down the allyway.

Varaxis smiles a little still watching in the direction Ryu had just run off in and he laughs a little to himself at the gentleman passing. He replies "Quite the flashy little pooch you have there...." He rolled his shoulders, the very faint sound of metal clinking together could be heard under his coat.

After Rinoa disappeared into the house, Zejx stepped out of the shadows, now visible. He stood where she was and let out a sigh as he looked up at the night sky. "You just had to go and get yourself killed didn't you? Now what am I supposed to do?" He adjusted his katana so he could sit down comfortably. "You tried so hard to keep her from getting involved. How do you think she will react now? The moment she learns the truth, I'm sure she will do all she can to get involved." He looked over the town for a moment. "Given the situation now, I don't blame her."

He wanted so much to go inside and comfort her, but it wasn't his place. They were friends and all, but... should she learn about his secrets... She would probably hate him. He slammed a fist down. "Dammit you old fool! If only I had been there, I could have saved you! Why!?" Before he knew it, a tear slid down his right cheek. He quickly wiped it away.

After a few moments of silence, he looked back up at the sky. "But I promise you this. No matter what, I won't let anything happen to her. I won't stop her should she learn the truth, but I will not let harm fall upon her. I swear on my soul, I will protect her." He remained on the roof for the rest of the night. He may not be able to follow her inside, but he could definitely guard the house from out here.
