It's a power metal band.
I like "The Last Journey Home" and "Heroes of our Time" from the album Ultra Beatdown the most. smile

You kind of have to respect their talent as far as guitar shredding.
But I find them a little cheesy, immature and monotonous.

How do I explain it...
maybe more tacky?
Like, in the Fire and the Flames video it looks like a video game, and they're all just grown-up nerds. The song material just doesn't seem to have any depth either, like any deeper meaning.
Then again, I like Cradle, and they can be (visually) a little tacky

I always thought they're somewhat more happy in their videos than most other bands. xD Well... except AnCafe. >_<

No, it's not bad.
I guess it's because I listen to...well my favorite is Dir en grey, and they're obviously very different. Maybe you're right about the being happier. Of course, I don't like An Cafe either.
I guess it did sound bad, but you like them, right? So who cares.

They are ok. As far as the guitar skill, it is good, but not as good as most people would think. It was scaled up a lot in guitar hero and makes it seem like much more than it really is. But, still, they are skilled musicians and I respect them but am not a big fan.

I really don't like them.
Their gutarists are good and all that but some of the guitar solos seem sooo unecesary.
Plus I can't stand the voice of their singer.

I like the band. I used to hear them a lot, the skill of their guitar players are simply amazing! How come they are so fast?
My favourite song is "Gods of Ice".
