She didn't see why she had to be strapped to the bed, her hands bound to the hospital bed as she watched the man walk calmly around her. There were other people there, but...she didn't care about them, her attention riveted on the silver haired the one...with those dangerous golden eyes. She knew she would regret her choice of words when she had agree'd to his terms to allow her to stay at the facility.

A frusterated sigh escaped through her nostrils, she tried to appear calm and professional. This was an experiment she had agree'd to after all. Though she...wasn't sure what Mr. Vampy was up to, he seemed exceedingly pleased with himself...that didn't bode well for her.

He was tall, and if she was stupid she would of even considered him handsome. But...there was a dangerous edge to his smile, the calm facade was just for sure. Perhaps that's what made her so uncomfortable, he could so easily hide his emotions and it was difficult, no impossible, to read his face and know what he was thinking.

“Is this going to take long?” She finally voiced her discomfort straining slightly against the bonds. The others wouldn't meet her gaze, it was as if she had become no better than the creatures they had experimented on in the labs...and perhaps she had degraded herself to that level. But she couldn't think of a life outside of the facility, literally obsessed with the place; there was nothing she wouldn't do or consider if it meant she would be allowed to remain here.

“Patience...I would rather not kill you in the process.” Came the liquid smooth voice of Mr. Vampy, he was currently examining what appeared to be a vial of blood swirling the contents in the test tube a moment before setting it back down in the rack in which another vial of blood was sitting. She knew that the man physically couldn't kill her himself; she supposed she owed her life to the blossoming life growing in her; she knew the same didn't apply to the others in the room.

She clenched her teeth, trying to force herself to relax. But she wanted to know what was going on, and she hated being left in the dark.

“What are you preparing anyway?” She demanded after a moment of hushed silence, only the sounds of footsteps and breathing had been the ambiance for a while. The technicians around her paused all heads turning to look at Vampy. They obviously had been filled in with what was going to occur.

“An experiment. I am curious to see if...this combination will work..” He explained and like any dedicated scientist he bent over to slide a piece of glass under a microscope and looked through it.

Combination? She wondered idly if...this combination had been one they had attempted in the past,
“You know that trying to mix opposing sins and virtues doesn't work. And I highly doubt that I am going to be able to make a change in that result.” She explained bitterly, failure after failure trying to combine opposing sings and virtues...she gave an involuntary shudder at the idea of a monster growing inside of her.

The man didn't respond as he adjusted the microscope; she ground her teeth. Finally he lifted his head and waved a hand for one of the techs to take the sample back.
“Its...ready.” He announced to all before he then requested all the technicians to leave the room. There was a pause before they all filed out. Moving he came up to the woman strapped to the bed his eyes lingering on her flat stomach.

“Since this is a new experiment I am going to use magic rather than science. Since it is out of the question to risk your life and the life inside of you by poking and prodding.” He explained as he went down to lift her shirt pulling it up so that her stomach was exposed.

“W..ait! You said it was an experiment! You didn't say anything about using magic!” She snapped, panic starting to build in her. Science she could understand...magic was beyond her. She struggled uselessly. She didn't like him touching her and bound she found panic starting to bubble forth.

“Hmm yes but I would rather make sure it succeeded rather than accidentally have it killed by unskilled human hands.” He explained and it was evident he held very little faith in a humans ability to do things correctly in such a delicate manner.

He reached inside of his coat pocket and removed the golden pen that lay there, he then went and gathered one of the vials sitting aside. He then dipped the pen into it and all the contents in he vial vanished as if the pen had absorbed it.

He then turned his focus to her stomach and started to draw on her skin. Instead of blue or black ink...red appeared. It looked like blood, dripped like blood as he continued to scroll a circle around her stomach. It...was eerie how perfect it looked, the circle the strange runes he quickly and fluidly wrote out.

She tried not to move, but the feeling of the pen was uncomfortable and she desperately wanted to remove herself from its touch. It felt almost like a knife biting into her, it hurt, even though the blood wasn't hers, she felt the pin pricks ache and throb just the same. A whimper escaped her lips when she thought he was done, but instead he went over and grabbed the other vial and repeated the same process of drawing the liquid into his pen.

Returning his onslaught continued. By the time he was finished, the design was complex, more than complex it was like a work of art unto itself. Beautiful and yet ...emitted a horrible sense of dread about it. She couldn't look at it properly but she didn't want to. She was breathing through her clenched teeth as he finally removed his pen clicked it and replaced it in his jacket pocket.

“You will probably be uncomfortable until your body absorbs the magic.” he explained with a wave of his hand as if there really wasn't anything she should be worried about.

“But if it does work...don't expect your pregnancy to be a pleasant experience.” He commented as he half turned to return the second vial.

Bile rose in her throat as she managed a bitter laugh,
“Pleasant?? You think throwing up every morning and being generally nauseated everyday a pleasant experience??” She snarled at Vampy's turned back feeling a bit braver perhaps due to the pain she was experiencing.

Vampy didn't resopnd right away, in fact she was starting to think he was ignoring her and was about to open her mouth again to yell at him when he cut her off.

“If it works...you will have bigger things to worry about. You have seen how quickly the children grow in the facilities.” He reminded the woman who promptly shut her mouth. Her face paled as she did in fact recal just how quickly the children grew from a fetus to a full grown toddler.
“...h..how long?” She whispered wondering just what she had signed up for and wither or not it was too late to back out of the deal.

“Little under two months or so...I am only estimating since it will be in a human body...” He gave a shrug as he turned around his smile was ...clear. He didn't expect her to survive bearing the child that was how he was going to win.

It clicked in and she gritted her teeth angry at her own stupidity. She had fallen for his trap, as promised HE wasn't going to harm a single hair on her head...whatever was now growing inside of her though....couldn't make the same promise. Maybe she could force a miscarriage....the idea wasn't past her, she valued her own life over the thing inside of her at any rate.

“Don't think of trying it, “ Vampy responded as if he was reading her expressions perfectly, “If you try the magic will stop you.” He continued and she swore under her breath. She was...stuck..and doomed it seemed.

“We will make sure your pregnancy goes well.” He continued his smile changing to something smug. She only sulked moving her gaze from his.

“Lucky me...”
