Chaos's hidden base where he conducts all his experiments. The base is hidden under a great statue on the borders of Gaioh and Swamp. The base itself is divided into many sections including a library, a laboratory, a dungeon, an arena, a weapon storage area, and Chaos's quarters. The lair is guarded by countless minions who serve Chaos.

Westly was tossed into and locked within a large dungeon cell. The cell itself was all stone except for the metal bars, on the ground under his feet was an odd seal. While standing there he could feel that his jutsu would be unavailable to him via the seal under him. Down the hallway he could see other cells filled with other prisoners; some were moaning in pain, others had gone crazy, a few begged for death, while some just shook in there corner. It was a scary sight for anyone.

"You poor lass..." A man said from the next cell over. "Did you piss Chaos off?" The man himself was in old tattered clothing and he look to be in his late 50s. A white beard hung from his face, he seemed to be a retired ninja or something.

"'Lass'? Look, I'm a fairy, not a woman." Westly showed no reaction on his face, only the determination of trying to figure out how to escape. Or, you know, talk his way out. "I piss plenty of people off. Chaos is just being a baby about it." He started examining the seal on the ground. If he could get out even the smallest amount of chakra, he was so out of here. He was carrying enough explosives sealed away to blast a man-sized hole in a wall with enough left over to "share with the class". It was just an issue of getting to them. "Actually, in all fairness, I hadn't said more than a couple words to Chaos. I think he just thinks I'm as interesting as I think he is. Which is absurd, of course. Everyone knows I'm much more interesting."

He worked his handseals tirelessly. Ram-Boar-Snake. Nothing. Bird-Snake-Tiger. Nothing. Tiger-Rat-Hare. Nothing. He kicked at the seal. Nothing. Dragon-Hare-Rat-Hare-Tiger-Snake. Nothing. A brief incantation in an eldritch tongue spoken before time existed. Nothing.

"I wonder if he can hear me...." He raised his voice as loudly as possible. "CHAOS! RELEASE ME, AND I WILL HEAL YOU!" Westly didn't know the first thing about healing burns, actually. He wasn't lying, either. He just wasn't talking about them. If his suspicions were correct, Chaos was suffering more than one ailment. They were in a jungle, so it's not like they were at a loss for Aloe Vera, but that was about it. It was the other thing that Westly alone could cure.

"Chaos doesn't give a ********..." The man said taking a seat in his cell. "All Chaos cares about is his research... Nothing more and nothing less." The man took out a pack of cigarettes and pulled one out. He quickly lite it up and took a long deep drag. "He doesn't care about anyone here... We are just progress for his research..."

Westly shrugged. "And I'm the best researcher left in Gaioh. Killing or torturing me is a waste of resources. ********, I could show him a new type of Chakra unlike any he's every seen, I could heal his mind, I could guide him closer to enlightenment than he could ever reach on his own, and I could get him back into Gaioh with a hero's welcome." He shook his head, irritated. He meant every word of it, too. "No, if Chaos actually cared about his own benefits, I would be sipping martinis with the bigshots, not stashed away in a cell. He gains nothing from me being in here."

"You underestimate Chaos..." The man said rubbing some insects out of his hair. "He has already created a new type of chakara... He calls it forsaken chakara, it is a more deadly form of cursed chakara. His mind can't be healed, since it isn't broken anymore, he is already extremely close to his Godship..." The man took another drag of his cig. "Chaos has already reached a new level of power, he is just waiting for the last things to fall into place for him to became a God. You, I, Gaioh, and the White Hand are nothing but minor tools in his ascension to godship."

Westly shook his head. "You overestimate Chaos. He missed something important." He mulled it about in his head, searching for a good analogy. "It's like... let's say you have a third eye. Literally. There's an invisible eye in the center of your forhead that allows you to do amazing things with foresight. Except, and here's the thing, most people don't know they have it, and certainly don't know how to use it. So if someone gouged yours out, you'd never know it was gone. And what if, then, having that eye was one of the prerequisites for godhood?

"Don't get me wrong, Chaos might make himself functionally immortal and more powerful than any human alive, but he'll never actually be a true deity, per se, so long as he doesn't let me heal that thing he doesn't know he has."
He shrugged. "Mind you, some people are fine with just being immortal and omnipotent, but Chaos said he wanted to achieve divinity, and I didn't take him for the sort to half-a** things."

Westly grinned. "Besides. I have powers that he doesn't. So long as there exists a power that he does not possess, Chaos is not omnipotent."

"Oh boy... You are such a smartass." The man said tossing his cig away. "Chaos hates your type so bad. You understand nothing at all... Such a fool." The man stretched out and laid down. A yawn emerged from his mouth as he lay there. "There are powers that you, Chaos, I, anyone will ever get. Besides... If you were so great then how did you get captured by a lone grunt? Pathetic."

Westly stared at the man incredulously. The fact that he was in the next cell over and there was a wall in the way just made it that much more incredulous. "On the one side, there was a small army of Jounin and ANBU led by a finger of the White Hand. After being ambushed by another finger. And with a third finger, Chaos, standing by just in case I somehow managed to defeat the others. On the other side, there was me: a Chuunin and a support unit. All that to capture a glorified Kinin." He smiled. "Besides, I can leave anytime I want. You seem like you're still sane; wanna come with me? Or are you too busy being the president of Chaos's fan club?"

Westly pricked his finger and started altering the seal. "I talk for two reasons: one, it's amusing, and two, people are under the mistaken impression that what I'm saying and what I'm thinking have anything in common." He continued drawing on the seal. "I'm very powerful, as a matter of fact. I just don't express it through violence. I'm not a combat specialist. I am, however, as previously mentioned, one hell of a researcher." Westly smiled to himself. "It's a clever seal he made here, but it's like... well, I'm sure Chaos could do better, but no one thinks to build a tougher safe to crack until someone cracks the one you built." The seal weakened ever so slightly, and Westly could finally reach his gear. He placed a small crate of fireworks next to the door, lit it, and huddled in the opposite side of the room.

KABOOM!!!

Westly dashed out under cover of smoke. Outside of the seal's influence, he made a seal of his own with his hands. "Lore of the Assassin: Ketushai," he said, and vanished from sight. He wasn't a Ketushai, but really, for a genjutsu specialist, it wasn't that hard to reverse-engineer a simple invisibility jutsu. Especially since Westly had had the opportunity to read their clan scrolls.

Westly had made a mistake with his little explosion. As he dashed through the cover of smoke he hit a wall of dirt. Wetly had forgotten he was underground. Sure he blasted his way through the stone but there was nothing but dirt behind it. He was still trapped inside the cell and now he had alerted the guards.

(( Emphasis mine. Try again. I recommend the enormous number of guards. Good chance Westly's going to get recaptured anyway, but I at least wanna have some fun running amok first. ))

(( Um, so, do I see anything? Guards? Layout of the complex? Exploration pretty much boils down to either you telling me what's in your building or giving me permission to make it up. ))

The ceiling, walls, and floor of the hall suddenly began to glow as odd markings appeared on them. Once again Westly could feel his chakara vanish from him. The men in the cells however stopped moaning as if they were in peace by this however. It was odd, many of the men regained their sanity or were no longer in pain by this new seal that appeared.

"You can't escape..." A voice echoed out throughout the halls. "Chaos himself designed this place. Countless seals will make your escape impossible." Before Westly an odd man walked out of the darkness in front of Westly, his eyes were an odd bright blue. "Give up before you die."

Westly looked back to the men in the cages, then forwards towards the glowing man in front of him. Westly shook his head, sadly. "I think... I'd rather die than be caged. You want me to stick around, that's fine, but find me a real room. Not a prison cell." Westly smiled. "Besides, you missed something important. There are two possibilities: one, you can use your chakra, in which case, there exists a way for me to access mine. Alternatively, two, you can't use your chakra, in which case--" Westly quickdrew the crossbow that he'd retrieved earlier and shot the man. "--you can't possibly dodge this." In a narrow corridor, at that short a range, it would have been difficult for a ninja to dodge. Without chakra, there were no ninjas present. Just a pair of mortal men, and only one had thought to bring a gun to a fist fight.

Technically, there's also three, you're an illusion, but then someone else is still sending chakra into here uninhibited. That's the problem with bank vaults: if you can get your money out, so can the robber. The safest seal would be a total null chakra field... but Chaos wouldn't be willing to do that, would he? Without any of his chakra, even I could kill Chaos.
