Hahahahahaha, I know why she's pissed & i don't even have to watch the video.
Stephen King's completely right: Stephanie Meyer isn't that terribly talented as a writer. Twilight is vastly overrated and highly flawed. Prominance, wanna post up our quotes from her wall of shame?
Also, I have a shirt that says "Vampires don't sparkle"

Aw Twilight, the first fanfic to get published and made into a movie...
Sadly, I have read the book, upon recommendation of a former fling...
I cleansed myself with back-to-back readings of Hitchhikers Guide and Lord of the Rings... Then apologized to God and Bram Stoker... And kinda half-assed apologized to Anne Rice...

I read a summery on some website. It was detailed.
I nearly killed myself.
Luckily, I had bought Wanted the same day, so s**t was cool.

Dang that girl is chubby.
Honestly, I think this whole converation is silly and we are all above it.
Just for those who need a recap:
Twilight makes money
The protagonist vampire (I forget his name) especially makes money on the big screen.
Twilight does not deserve your time when there are video games to be played.
Also, there will always be Twilight fangirls. Watch your step and wash your hands frequently.

I managed to switch them over to Watchmen with the promise of a naked blue man. Seriously.

Le sigh...
Okay, I have read all the books because my fiance really got into them, and I was curious. Stephenie Meyer has a good idea going, and the story is pretty well laid out, and I can say that even though they are specifically meant to please teenage girls--and apparently the fat chick in the video--the story can be called "good".
HOWEVER, I have an imprint of my keyboard on my forehead now after slamming my head over this video. The problem with Stephenie Meyer is that she basically has a degree in English (or something), which gives her some good ideas when exploiting the language, but she really is lost in the dark when it comes to anything other than writing pseudo-fanfic literature.
Okay, I'm done playing Devil's Advocate for a while...

Okay, I'm done playing Devil's Advocate for a while... Apparently in an interview it was revealed she went to Hawaiian Pacific University and went there "for the guys." The woman's books sold I think 25 million copies last year and all four of her books took up the top 4 slots on the New York Times Bestsellers list (think that was the one. Didn't save the USA Today article), in sequencial order. I want to write books for a living - so that hurts me very deep in side. & yet I'm also inclined to beleive those figures help show the series is a fad.

What have we learned about writing books?

Better yet, get into comics if you can.

Heh heh heh...Sakyh really got me hooked into this whole Twilight bashing mood.
It's true. There's just really bad writing in there. For instance, "He shook his head indulgently"? Why, yes, I will indulge in shaking my head now. *shakeshakeshake*
