 Welcome to yet another lovely naming Contest! What will the prize be? One of the lovely, beautiful puppies in that banner up there. Which one you ask? This puppy is pretty much RP-required. Do NOT take this pup then fall off the face of the earth. Eik/James has a hard time getting on the internet so he may be scarce for rp, but i will assure you i will harass the winner for RP with her father and Brother every time im in the thread. Don't go for her if you're not planning to RP her. 3. Whatever name you choose MUST have some sort of connection to music. Obviously the mother is Melody, and Henry Lau is the father. Don't get it? A Melody is a linear succession of musical tones which is perceived as a single entity.
Henry Lau is a talented violinist for the Korean boyband Super Junior (and the name of my departed Hamster)
A Harmony is pleasing combination of two or three tones played together in the background while a melody is being played. Harmony also refers to the study of chord progressions.
A Key is a system of notes or tones based on and named after the key note, while a note is a sign used in musical notation to represent the relative duration and pitch of a sound; and a pitched sound itself.4. EVERYONE who enters in this Contest -and- the RP contest will be thrown into a raffle. After the RP contest has ended i will roll a name, and whoever gets rolled Gets a semi-custom DHS pet on me <3(This does not mean you get it immediately. ~About the Family~
Why will i bother to tell you about this family? Well, Seeing as you're probably going to RP with the puppy a lot *GLAREGLARE* you should know what you're getting into, right? That and it may help you with names and personalities =3  .::Mother and Father::.Henry: He is about as laid back as a dog can be, really. He prefers to lay around with his owners all day and listen to music. Although once you really get to know him, he can be a bit of brat. Typical teenager young dog. Violins are his favorite and he wishes to one day be let into a concert to hear a live violin. Melody and his children are his world and he will do anything to keep everyone together.Melody: A gentle, kind soul who will at times speak her mind, no matter how damaging it may be to one's feelings. Like her beloved mate Henry, Melody has a love for music, particularly the Ballads. Her mate and family are her lifeblood and though she is a purebred, she would never think of stepping into a ring if Henry were not there beside her. .::The Bestie #1::.Sungmin: Cutest little booger on the face of the planet. Charming, Good sense of humor and quite the handsome dog. Sound like the perfect man? Hah. Minnie is a total player by heart. Male, Female, he doesn't care as long as there's a nice tail or a pretty face. But he is extremely Loyal to his friends, who constitute as his real family. Don't like how he rolls? Tough. Deal with it or go away. And don't mess with Henry, Melody or the pups. He'll go nuts on yer arse. .::The Bestie #2::.Zhou Mi: Zhou Mi is a very traditional cat, having come straight from China to the United States. As such, he is not quite fluent in english and has to have Henry translate for him frequently as he learns. He has a strict code of rules about behavior, but will at times let his uptight demeanor slip and be a bit more loose. Zhou Mi has no fear, or anger, towards dogs and wishes that both species would just get along. .::Littlest Brother::.Key: Shy, timid and scared of his own shadow, but a total audiophile. Key will usually be found hiding behind one of his 2 older siblings or his younger sister when it comes to dealing with others, but when it comes to music, he is at the front of the pack. He loves to sing and is a bit talented at rapping. For some reason, he LOVES spicy human foods o.0 (His full name is Key of Heart) (In time it will be revealed that he is blind, it will not be instantaneous, merely a decline in his eyesight that leads to total darkness) .::Little Sister::.Audio: Not much is known about her yet, apart from a gentleness mixed with brat. She is usually silent but she can speak but she prefers to speak in important moments or to people she cares about.

Meaning: Unaccompanied choral music
Short Personality:Well now lets see.....Okay. Nearly everything she says is in sing-song. She's usually not very easy-going, especially her brother starts rapping, which she hates. She considers it a crime against singing. (NOTE: This is not a personal opinion of mine xD ) She loves most types of music, especially alternative rock and R&B. Acapella's not one to brag, just don't insult her singing....like, ever....no seriously that would not be good. She likes the spotlight, and can be a bit of a diva, being that she loves to get her solo time, and she ahs a bit of an ego, but she never really means to get people upset.

Short Personality: A total fan of anything instrumental. Although she typically doesn't mind songs that contain singing, she'd prefer a good piano solo any day. She's more quiet and soft-spoken at the moment, prefering to keep her thoughts to herself, and it's not rare to see her staring into space, paw tapping to the beat of a song in her head. She'd be very protective over the ones she holds close to her, and if anyone dares insult her family or friends.. Weeellll let's just say it wouldn't end well. l3;;

Meaning: The quality of a musical tone that distinguishes voices and instruments. (Also means "stamp" in French. xD )
Short Personality: A cool and collected pup, Timbre can remain calm in situations that might stress others out. She is only an average singer, but she has a talent for identifying individual notes and instruments by their sounds without being told what they are. Her favourite instrument is the piano and will play with the keys if she gets the chance.

Her Name: Lullaby
Meaning: A quiet song intended to lull a child to sleep
Short Personality: Lullaby isn't much of a singer. When she tries to sing, she's off key and it just sounds like a train wreck. Being raised around music, she had found a love for soft, classical, and soothing music. She also enjoys the sounds of nature. She loves to listen to the birds sing and she, too, tries to imitate such songs by whistling them and she tends to hum a lot. Her humming, she feels, makes up for her lack of skill in the singing department. When she hums, she usually does it to sooth and calm down one of her siblings or just for fun. She is a soft, caring, and loving child whom when she talks, her voice sounds like a whisper. She is not at all timid and is quick to want to make friends. She is a bit curious and is always wanting to learn something new. Whether it be learning how to sing better or even learning some Chinese from Zhou Mi, Lullaby is always up for learning.

Her Name: Chaconne
Meaning: A chaconne is a composition from about the Baroque era or so. Mostly used as a vehicle for different types of repeated harmonic progression and the like. Most of the time, it involves the use of a ground bass.
Short Personality: Chaccone is a rather stuck up little lady. Having been born with perfect pitch, she tends to despise any note that isn't exact in its performance. She overanalyzes anything that makes sound and has a preference for music composed by Haydn and Beethoven (not much of a fan of Mozart). Sharp-witted and audacious, she never fails to lose track of her younger siblings and takes control when needed. Chaccone is an ideal elder sister because of her protective behavior towards the siblings.

Her Name: Dirge
Meaning: Dictionary: Funeral hymn; a song of mourning or lament, especially one about death or intended for a funeral. The reason she is named such is because of her mask-like facial marking. At first I was reminded of the Mask of the Red Death, a beautiful piece of prose that in and of itself is much like a song, and a song that tells a story that no matter who you are there is no way to escape death. I also thought the marking resembled a funerary veil which would be worn by the mourning while a dirge is playing.
Short Personality: She almost seems out of place with the rest of her somewhat happy family. Dirge is relatively dark, as her name suggests, but the trait isn’t in anyway sadistic. Even from a young age she’s obsessed with morbid themes -including death- but seems also fascinated more so with various old traditions and ideas. By nature she seems to be more reclusive (veiled, if you will), however, she’s verbal and will talk to you if you offer her something she would find interesting (this could be anything from a joke to a riddle), and for family purposes she’s at times very social. All the same, she would prefer only meaningful conversation. Dirge can often be found musing to herself, usually humming some sort of mother goose lullaby, fiddling with various thing she enjoys collecting, like bones, feathers, and other things that are accessible. Her favorite instrument is the cello. She’ll, even at a young age, travel around the streets in the hopes of finding the instrument playing, and musically inclined like the rest of her family, it is somewhat of a thrill to her to experience the sound of music.
