When news came that the next installment in the Star Ocean series was going to the Xbox 360 instead of the Playstation 3, I freaked out. I threw a temper tantrum and whined and complained about how I was really expecting it to be on the PS3 or at least multi-platform. I was upset about what console the game was on and didn't think "Hey, it's the game that matters, not the console."

I went out yesterday and got (rented, I'm poor lol) Star Ocean: The Last Hope and stayed up til 3AM playing it. Needless to say, my eyes didn't evaporate from playing the game on the 360. The game has been really enjoyable so far and I have been fully immersed in it.

The new blindside system in the fighting is very nice. Fighting monsters seems less of an annoyance then it was in Till The End Of Time. I actually want to go out and level up. There have been many improvements in the game. There are a few minor complaints I have about the game like the pop-in with some objects even when I installed the game to the hard drive (I'd hate to see what it's like without the install), but nothing that takes away from the experience.

Lastly, it actually feels like it belongs on the 360! When I'm playing this game I think Microsoft; I would prefer to press a green A than an black X. I feel silly about acting the way I had when I found out this game was coming the the 360. It's a great game, and I wish I would have looked past the console aspect at first.

Well, I think we all learned a valuable lesson here.

But I don't have a 360. So screw you.

@Arvis
Well...they're like $200. I know it isn't easy to come by that type of money, but it sure is a lot cheaper compared to when you got your PS3.

My humor tends to be exceedingly deadpan and sarcastic. And when I'm in a good mood, it amplifies that. I was trying to be funny.

And yeah, I wouldn't give Microsoft $200 for a NEW LIVER if I needed one. I would just say "No thanks, I'll just die."

Uh, well, I'm not THAT interested in LO. I mean, I'm juggling Fallout, Prince of Persia, and Street Fighter right now, and I have a ridiculously busy social life now that I'm seeing someone again, and LO isn't particularly a must-play title, it's just the ONLY other 360 exclusive besides Mass Effect that I am interested in.

So... doesn't really suck for me, does it?

If only Lost Odyssey wasn't a Master JRPG and therefore better than all those other games, you might be correct.
