I had this weird urge to post something (anything) because it's been kind of dead lately.

Yesterday, in my oboe reedmaking class, my teacher, some friends, and I were talking about how Easter was coming up. Unfortunately we do not get Good Friday off. It was so funny because after delving into talk about religious aspects of Easter, someone mentioned, "Oh so now Catholics can eat meat again." Mind you, none of my friends knew I was Catholic at this point, but I chuckled. And then my teacher says, "I don't know how people can just give meat or anything else up!" Right... as if you'd die without it. neutral Then people started talking about how we believe that its a huge sin against God if we eat meat, even if we forget. Thats when I came out and said, "I'm Catholic, and its not hard at all really." *buzzkill* *awkward silence, (well except for knives scraping cane)* Then, one of my friends said that, "Well people should eat less meat anyway....*blah blah*"

One girl said she and her friends actually gave up things for Lent even though they weren't Catholic! "Interesting...", I thought. It was so funny to see how over the top they made our traditions seem. smile

Well its a week and a few til' Easter, and I'm excited! I don't even know how anyone would respond to this xd
