i know this may have nothing to do with republicans but dont you think Black history month is a little racist? i mean why is it ok for them to get a whole month honoring what they did? its not only blacks; theres asians, latinos, and everybody else out there. i just think its reverse racism.

Well, a common answer is that history has been full of white peoples achievements, and that the achievements of blacks, and other groups are not as well known. It does seem a little racist, especially when we don't get Presidents Day off, but we get Martin Luther King Jr. day off.

Antiockus Well, a common answer is that history has been full of white peoples achievements, and that the achievements of blacks, and other groups are not as well known. It does seem a little racist, especially when we don't get Presidents Day off, but we get Martin Luther King Jr. day off. Hopefully we'll get a Barry Hussain day off too. To (dis)honor the day of his death xD. Hope for that day soon.

south carolina state government employees have an option to take either mlk jr day or confederate memorial day(2nd tuesday in may)
