Plot

For years the forces of good have conquered the darkness, and saved the world from peril. Daria, the Queen of the Vampires, stumbles across a prophecy that tells of a chosen one with a heart of pure evil. In order to awaken the chosen one, the ancient spires in all four continents must be activated. Only then will the chosen one's powers awaken.

Unknown to the forces of light, the forces of darkness have banned together as the Order of the Moon, in order to work together to make the prophecy come true. Now, the only chance for earth's survival is for the warriors of light to stop the Order of the Moon before they can awaken the Dark one...

Your role

Choose between being a Warrior of light or part of the Order of the moon. As a warrior of light, your leader is Nova Darkside, and your mission is to find out what the Order is up to. As a member of the order, your leader is Daria Darkside, and your mission is to attack one of the three major continents in order to find the ancient spire.

Rules

- No godmodding please, it annoys everyone, and I’m sure it would annoy you, too.

- Romance is allowed, but please don’t cyber. Keep anything explicit in PMs, or outside of Gaia

- Cursing is okay, but please don’t overdo it. It becomes insulting over time and upsets RPers

- Be as literate as possible. I understand you might have bad spelling or grammar, but please do your best. This also means “” for speech, nothing for actions, italics for thoughts, and [[]] (()) {{}} for OOC.

- One-liners. I accept them once in a while, but please try to write at least 2-3 lines. Try being descriptive, it feels good. ^_^

- Be nice to other RPers. We’re all friends, right? If not that, then acquaintances.

- If you wanna bring in minor characters, tell me.

Acarta: The continent of spiritual energy. The inhabitants of this continent have strong beliefs in the ancient religions. Their god is Helena, the Goddess of creation.

Garaden: The continent of Technology. The inhabitants of this country belive in scientific facts than religious beliefs. Their army is the mightiest of all three continents. Although their kingdom once tried to rule the world, their New leader, Nova, has devoted his kingdom's energy to preserving the righteous Garaden Empire.

Eden: The Continent of Magic. The inhabitants of Eden flourish in the dark arts. They Worship Gabriel, the God of Destruction.

The Forbidden Islands: The land of mystery. The Forbidden islands are a series of islands in the center of the other three continents. Most of the inhabitants never leave the land, but the few who have have reported as being either a Cat humanoid or a winged one.

The night was still, as though holding its breath. Daria slowly walked through the Zeltennia town square, an evil smile spread across her face as she watched all the people pass by. She briefly wondered if any of them knew what was in store for them. "In due time....", she thought to herself.

A small boy chased after a rubber ball as it escaped from his hands. The ball rolled down a dark alley near by; making it's way under a dumpster. The boy gets down on his knees, puts the side of his face to the ground, and reaches under the dumpster. After a moment or two, he finally grabs hold of the ball and pulls it out; wincing as a loose piece of metal cuts his hand slightly. He stands up and turns around. Daria stands there, the same evil smirk across her face. "Aww... poor ducky... do we have a boo boo?" The boy nods, not knowing whether to be scared or not. She steps closer. "Mmmm.... what a lovely scent... so pure and innocent..." She kneels in front of him; taking his hand in hers. She squeezes lightly, causing blood to pour out a bit. The boy quickly pulls away, a few droplets of blood landing on Daria's hand.

"I... I should get going..." Daria stops him by grabbing him by his shoulder. She laps the blood from her hand gently. "Now deary... it's not very nice to run before you become acquainted with someone... allow me..." He looks at her, confused at first, then horrified as her face changes into that of a demon. "Let's play a game..." she whispers. Before he can scream, she covers his mouth with one hand, yanks his head to the side with the other, and sinks her fangs into the boys throat. Beads of ruby pour down his clothing, staining them a dark crimson. Before long, the boy's body goes limp. After a few moments, Daria tosses him to the ground, licks her lips, and dabs the corners of her mouth with her finger tips. "Mmmm... that was absolutely divine..." She giggles to herself as she walks away.

Another flaming molotov cocktail smashed into the riot patrol that Nova was leading. He watched in horror as some of the soldiers in his platoon were engulfed in the flames this time. Their suits began to burn up quickly, the flame licking at their skin, blistering and peeling it as the fire's tongue danced upon it.

'I should have brought soldiers instead,' thought Nova as he tried to block out the screams of the men. Nova's mind began to rush into combat mode. He could easily dispatch this mob on his own, however he was trying to neutralize the mob instead of annihilating it.

This was the scene of Garaden recently. Ever since the former emperor was disposed of, the giant metropolis was in a state of anarchy. Crime shot through the roof, as did violence. Many people in Garaden were opposed to the new peace plan that would form them as part of an alliance with Acarta and Eden.

Nova ripped his walkie talkie from his belt and pressed the talk button. "This is Darkside. Squad leaders, push all units back towards Main street. The mob is heavily defended and barricaded themselves from 3rd avenue to Netroiv Drive."

Life had become hard for Nova. He was a front line soldier, a warrior ready to do battle at any given time, and just recently (to his dismay) was proclaimed ambassador to Eden and Acarta, as well as temporary top man in Garaden.

'I could end it all in one strike, but that would go against all that peace bullshit they want you to believe in.' he thought miserably. Nova sighed knowing he'd have to set some sort of an example and with a riot taking up three city blocks, with the mob wielding stolen military weapons as well as their own crafted, there was no better time or place to start.

"Stop!!!", a rioter stopped in place as a clock glyph formed below him, Hiro sighs. Without his offensive magic, it was hard to take down a horde of rioters. Nearby soldiers cuff the rioter. Hiro waves his hand; causing the glyph to disappear. He wanted to make a difference in the world, but it seemed like people just weren't interested in peace between the kingdoms. Hiro could hear Labrynth on his earpiece. "Roger, rioters in sector eight have been subdued, heading..." He stops mid-sentence as he spots a huge airship approaching. "I wasn't aware we'd called in back-up..." The bottom of the ship opens as turrets from the city begin to fire at it. "Turrets....? ....Sheila..." He had a feeling his fellow wunderkind had a few weapons stashed around the city.

Due to the treaty agreements, none of the kingdoms were allowed to carry militaristic weapons. Fiends begin appearing from orbs dropped by the airship. He points nya-nya at a group of them. "Fira!" A huge orb of flames materializes from his staff. It flies towards the fiends, engulfing them in a giant blaze. "What's going on?!" A loud roar is heard from the airship as it crashed into the ancient spire. It bends and breaks as larger orbs fall into the hole in the Spire's wall made by the collision. "The spire? Why would they want to attack the spire?" Every continent had a large ancient spire that had been there since the beginning of time. Legends say that they were created by Gabriel and Helena, for some unknown purpose.

Hiro hops onto the staff. It begins to fly off into the air as the small bat wings on the bottom flap furiously. He looks around, wondering where the others were. All he could hear in his earpiece was static. He removes it and tosses it. "Looks like I'll have to go in alone..." His face full of determination, he makes his way towards the bottom entrance of the spire.

There is a time in everyone's life where time seems to slow down. A time when so many events wrapped together seem to warp and meld slowing the fabric of time around them. For Nova, the scene that unfolded before him was one of those scenes. Somewhere in the back of his mind, Nova could hear the voice of Labrynth responding to his message. That sound was eventually droned out by the roar of an airship engine above reaching across the sky like a clawed hand seeking death.

The forces brought by Nova, as well as the rioters stared in disbelief and amazement as many orbs began to plummet for the vessel that aimed towards the Garaden spire. Time decreased yet again as panels in the street revealed themselves and mighty turrets rose up like a zombie from its grave, waiting to take its prey. With a sudden clap of thunder in the air and an emerald flash, time seemed to regain itself and Nova snapped out of the hypnotic trance of the situation.

When the fiends emerged, the situation went from a riot crisis to a disaster. Not many of the orbs had touch downed due to the defensive fire of the illegal turrets, but the few that did were enough. The creatures sprung forth from their portals, some taking to the air, while others rushed forward on the ground.

The rioters fled in terror, but all in vain. The flying demons soared through the fleeing civilians of Garaden. Their talons ripped into flesh tearing off chunks of their body from the bone. The fiends that had remained on the ground charged into the crowd and snapped down mighty jaws unto their prey. Bones crunched and snapped as the creatures began to shake their heads violently ripping any unfortunate soul to pieces.

One of the airborne monstrosities made the foolish mistake of trying to take Nova as its prey. Nova's mind went to the place that it used to reside in the past; a place of instinct, a place of destruction, a place of death. He flipped backwards causing the creature's talons to barely miss him. Nova planted his feet on landing and shot forward grabbing the creature by the neck while it was still low in altitude. It writhed and snapped its jaws, but Nova held it firmly in a headlock with his right arm.

"Kill my people?" said Nova with a sneer. The restraint within him had vanished. His coal colored eyes burned with an icy fire of his past endeavors. The aura of peace around Nova faded, replaced by the lust of death he was raised with. Nova applied pressure to the creatures head and clutched the side of its head with his other hand. In a simple twisting motion, Nova snapped the fiends neck and let it fall limp to the ground. He repeatedly began to stomp his combat boot into the fiends skull, eventually cracking it and sending its brains to the pavement right under it.

Nova took his walkie talkie and pressed the talk button to communicate with all of the squad leaders at once. "You are all authorized to use deadly force. Prime objective is the safety of the civilians. Secondary objective, remove all fiend invaders and shut down portal entrances."

Nova switched the frequency of the walkie talkie to channel Labrynth only now. "Labrynth, take squad 7 and fortify the spire. The turrets have crippled the airship, but it is still maintaining velocity and its course towards the spire. Do not allow it to create a beachhead in the city at any cost. Nova out."

Faye runs at top speed through the Celestia forest, taking out the occasional fiend. The airship roared over head as it made its way towards Acarta's Spire. "I don't know if I'm fast enough to get there in time..." Nova had informed the Acartian division that they had been attacked by an airship. Shortly after, an airship had appeared on the coast of Acarta; making its way towards Zeltennia. Riku had gone ahead to Zeltennia to try and have the Royal Mages put up a barrier. "Lot of good that'll do..."

She was all for world peace, but she thought it was ignorant to agree to a "no militaristic weapon" clause. It just left them open for this sort of attack. She backflips, kicking a lycan in its jaw; causing it to snap. She hops over its corpse and continues on. None of this had made since. Who could be responsible for such an attack? Off the back she'd think Garaden, but why would they attack their own city? Plus, Nova was a grumpy sort, but he'd never attack another country.

She finally reached the city's main gate. She turns and looks skyward as the Airship closes in. "Come on...." A large ripple forms as the airship hits the invisible barrier. After a few moments, the barrier begins to crack. It crashes down, granting access to the Airship. "s**t!" She turns and runs into the city. Their only hope now was to fight them off.
