One day a letter arrives to you by unknown means since the mail had come hours earlier. It speaks of a place called 'Hogwarts' and goes on to say 'A School of Witchcraft and Wizardry'. Along with this letter lists the necessary books and equipments and probably a place to find them..
Each student is allowed to bring a cat, toad, rat or owl.
First year students require equipment for their different subjects. Equipment listed in the acceptance letter includes a wand, a standard size 2 pewter cauldron, a set of brass scales, a set of glass or crystal phials, a kit of basic potion ingredients (for Potions), and a telescope (for Astronomy).
The Hogwarts uniform consists of plain work robes in black, as well as a plain black hat, a pair of protective gloves, and a black winter cloak with silver fastenings.
First years are not allowed a broomstick of their own. Unless otherwise noted.

Young children all wander the alley of a London road except to access this alley one must do some fairly odd things like arriving from chimneys or beating on bricks to make them magically move out of their way. The children who wander this Diagon Alley all went about preparing themselves for their first or next year at Hogwart's Academy, a place where students become wizards.
Fusen was one of those children who arrived by Floo Powder. He came alone, his mother was too busy doing nothing at their home to come along and help him out. It wasnt his first time here, having come while running errands for mother to get things for her like pots or ingredients. He has come with his father a few times before he died and so the streets were not so alien to him as they were to other students. He walked out into the street and looked at the note. He figure he should get a wand first and went to the shop called Ollivanders to do just that. He was lucky, it seemed that he arrived early enough to beat the crowd of students waiting to get their wands or didnt have to worry about those who already got their wands with their parents a few days earlier. The elder man inside the shop greeted him and asked him to wait a moment when he went to put a box away.
"Very Well.." Fusen Said softly. The man laughed a little and went into the back, putting away that box and coming back 3 minutes later while Fusen looked around. "If i could request something, i wouldnt mind a oak wand.."
The man smiled, examining the boy. "I dont usually take personal requests but let the wands pick the child..But i can see that oak is right for you.." The elder gentleman running the shop said, going over to his boxes and looking at them. Fusen couldnt tell how the boxes were organized but this man seemed to have a system down, he had been working here for a while it would seem. He brought down a box, its cover had dust all over it and it would seem that no one ever gets this one because the wand acts up too much. "Try this.."
Fusen Pathele took the wand offered and held tightly, a violent wave of wind came from the wand and knocked Fusen's hood off, messing up his hair in the wind. But it settled down shortly afterwards. The old man gulped and reached for the wand to take it back and give Fusen another but Fusen withdrew the wand from his reach.
"This is the wand for me." Fusen Pathele said in a manner that suggested he not attempt to take it from him again. Adam Switzer had witnessed this from the window before entering the shop.
"Hello Mr. Ollivander." He said, watching Fusen put down the money for the wand and fixing his hood before slipping the wand into his hood and on his ear, for the time being. He turned, looking at this teacher at Hogwarts, before leaving the store.

She sat alone on one of the bench's that lined the street of Diagon Alley. A couple of bags rested at her feet on the cobblestone path, and her green eyes darted around, looking at the faces of everyone busying themselves with buying last minute school supplies. She blew a few strands of loose hair from her eyes, only to have them fall back into the same place. She let out a sigh and looked around, searching for her parents. They had both told her to stay put while they rushed to get something for her, and they had already been gone for ten minutes. At least, she believed so.
"Oh bother. What could be taking them so long?" she pondered, letting out another side.
No sooner had she thought it that her parents appeared through the crowd, her father holding something against his chest. Her eyes squinted, trying to see what it was. All she saw was fur, but that was enough for a smile to cross her face. Standing up she grinned at her parents, who in return smiled back, and she bounced on the balls of her feet as they drew nearer.
"Here you go, honey," her mother said, ruffling her daughters hair.
"Just a little something to take to school to keep you company while you sleep, Love" her father added, holding out the large furball.
Beloved eagerly, but gently, took the furball in her hands and held it close. The kitten stared up at her, bright blue eyes staring from amidst the black fur. Her finger gently rubbed under the kittens chin, causing it to stretch out its neck and purr happily.
"Thank you!" she said cheerfully, looking up at her parents with joy. "I don't know what to name her, though."
"That is a good question," her mother said, looking to her husband.
"I'm sure you will think of something, though," her father replied, holding out his hand to scratch behind the kittens ears.

A child sat at a bench across the way from this girl and watched as her parents gave her a kitten. He appeared to wear the most interesting yet expensive outfit you would find in Diagon alley. Everything from his shoes to his hair seemed to glisten with disposable income, well except for his hat that seemed to be a new store bought train conductor hat which is a odd choice for someone with his obvious money, oh and the fact that he ruffled up those expensive clothes to look almost not, as if they were bought in a hand me down store though these clothes were probably thrown out after its use by the rich people who bought it. Also similar to the girl he had the bags of which he kept the stuff he bought here today next to him on the bench, except for his wand which he knew was important and shouldnt be kept in a place where it could break. He seemed somewhat at a interest more in Beloved's facial expression and comfort by her parents than what caused it. He didnt understand why she was given something, she wasnt crying from a wound or being treated for a good deed that he witness her do earlier. She had just been sitting there like her parents had requested, that was surely not enough to repay her with a gift.
A light breeze picked up his tie a little. He had been staring at her and her parents this whole time and finally broke gaze. Adam stood up and turned around, picking up his bags and slowly, almost gliding down the road, he walked down the street and stopped infront of a building next to Leaky Cauldron, a more expensive like inn which he grandparents had paid for. He glanced back at Beloved and her loving parents, watching her fight agaisnt the hair in her eyes again, then he entered this inn.

Her eyes scanned the list she held in her fingers. So far she and her brother had acquired most of their supplies in the one day. They still needed to get robes and their wands, as well as a books they had yet to locate. Her eyes glanced up to her brother as he stared into the window of 'Quality Quidditch Supplies'. The latest broom was out, and of course he was staring at it.
"Josh, we have to finish getting our supplies for school," she chided, walking up beside him. "You can look at this later, okay?"
Before he could answer she slid her fingers between his and grasped tightly, pulling him along. She handed him a few bags so that he could help carry things while she held the list and a bag.
"We are going to get our robes," she said, smiling at her brother. "After that we can get our wands, the last few books, and then head back to look at the new broomstick."
She usually was the one leading her brother in the right directions. There were times, however, when it wasn't this simple.
Josh stared at the window of the Quidditch shop as he was forced to move further and further away. He let out a sigh before finally turning around and walking with his sister, casually swaying his and her hand. She was right, as always. They had to get the important things done first before taking time to relax. Well, in her opinion. He thought that there should be a balance of relaxing being seventy-five percent and getting things done about twenty-five percent.
"So, we're going to Madam Malkin's?" he asked, looking up ahead. "It looks kind of busy, Jazz."
He caught the look that she gave him and sent an innocent smile. She knew that he was just kidding around, but with only a few days before school she was not in the mood for his jokes. They made it to the robes shop and walked in, Josh taking the bag and list from his sister and allowing her to be first for fitting.
"I'll stand and watch," he told her, "promise. No running away while you're being measured."
He sat down as Madam Malkin came up to Jazz and ushered her towards the little platform. His eyes wandered around the shop, noting that it hadn't really changed except for the extra school robes laying around everywhere. Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin robes were easily detected among the dress robes and work robes. He let out a soft sigh and turned back to face his sister, waiting patiently for his turn.

((NPCS in Diagon Adam Switzer Mel Tale Sara Tale))
The boy moved on to another item on his list, the robes for school. At the moment, seeing that no one was sorted into any of the houses, the robes that were available were plain. Fusen entered the store, seeing two or three students already inside here. Fusen noticed Joshua moving around and looking at everything like some sort of kid in a candy store. It annoyed Fusen but he didnt bring it up, this time, hiding behind his hood and waiting for someone to service him. Fusen didnt know most of the kids at Diagon today, he and his mother lived out of London some ways in the country side where his mother could do her magical studies without fear of any muggles catching note of anything suspicious. He has seen Joshua before in a book store when his mother sent him on a errand to get a rare book for her, seeing that she hardly comes out of their house. He was pretending to be a helper in the store though he wasnt much help to Fusen who needed someone serious to handle his request and in the end he didnt get the book because he was a young kid and Josh's mother didnt sell magical related books to children. So Fusen had to go to another place to find the book, he wasnt returning home back to mom without what she requested and vowel never to shop at that book store again.
He looked up when his sister came out of the back where she was getting fitted, moving away from her brother and looking at some robes on the stack. He didnt see her in the book store that time but passed her on his way out, pushing her out of the way with his shoulder. This was some months ago though and he didnt think she would recall the event.

Honey had already purchased everything on her list. However, she was still lingering in Diagon Alley.
The blood red robes she wore were of no particular house but were of a length that made her strides seem as if she were floating effortlessly down the path. She wore her hood over her head, casting a shadow along the alley as she continued to travel it.
Sometime down the alleyway, she stopped in front of Eeylops Owl Emporium. A quick glance inside told her that it was fairly empty.
Her father had given her a feline of dark black fur and eyes that were mysteriously white for her to take with her to Hogwarts but, father never knew what Honey wanted. He rarely tried to give her anything at all but when he did- he was all wrong.
Honey stalked inside, the bell above the door made no noise as she entered- almost as if it were holding it's breath as she walked by.
She narrowed her golden eyes as they scanned the store, piercing into the very soul of any living creature within sight. Honey stood still in dead center of the store, silently waiting to be tended to.

NPC
A trench coat dressed woman was inside the Owl Emporium. She had about five birds in three cages and was standing around as someone else was helping her, a younger boy who was obviously a member of the house of Gryffindor.
"Yes, those are the right feds for these owls.." Sara said to the boy, glancing back to Honey and smiling. "Hello young girl." She said softly, the shop owner coming around Sara and to Honey, assisting her in her in her needs.
Sara Tale stood there, looking at the girl for a little bit, something seemed a little off at first but she shouldnt judge on first impressions. "Come on Ceder, lets gets this to the train station." She said softly, having gotten these owls for personal teacher use or substitute owls encase the ones the kids have somehow go missing or get injured.

"Hello." Honey replied in a monotone murmur as she slowly approached the woman who greeted her, removing her hood. Her translucent red hair framed her pale face in a way that seemed permanent and unmoved.
"I'd like to see your finest owls." she paused and pointed to the Gryffindor pair who were leaving for the train station "Those owls are for Hogwarts students, correct?"
Honey crossed her arms across her chest and walked towards the Gryffindor woman who had smiled at her.
Once Honey was standing in front of her, she gestured towards the younger boys robes.
"Gryffindor?" Honey questioned.

"This will be available for the students...at the school.." Sara said, looking more at this girl and admiring her boldness to start up conversation unlike other students who would be shy around new people especially at this time of year heading to Hogwarts. She looked closer, her yellow eyes reminded her of a cat she had when she was younger who would always bat at her father's wand.
"Whats your name?" She asked, the Gryffindor boy Ceder going on ahead of them since he was carrying quite the heavy bags of food for the owls.
