Personality: Iro is a calm man with the mindset of an older brother. He seeks to protect people if he can, and he is not afraid to sacrifice himself if need be. He is not afraid to die, and is not afraid to kill. When he goes to war, he forces himself to be as emotionless as possible, because deep down, he enjoys killing his foes. Deep within him is a dark monster that wants to kill, the yang to his peaceful protector yin.

Physical Description: Iro is tall, and well built. His body is covered with scars from battles past, before he became a shinigami. His hair is white from his constant battles and he keeps it back in a long ponytail. He prefers to wear the regular uniform of the shinigami but he alters is slightly by wearing it more loosely.

Sealed Form:Standard katana in a metallic red sheath. The pommel is an 8 petaled flower and the handle is is tipped with a metal bar that bears the insignia "Protect those who cannot."
Shikai: His Shikai summons for him a light suit of armor that allows him to fight his foes more easily. His Shikai causes his robes to tighten and a samurai chest plate and arm bracers to appear on his body. His Shikai also increases his healing factor, allowing him to fight longer to protect those he is with. For the most part, his style of fighting does not change in this form, it simply allows him to be more protected. His Shikai's one main weakness is that while he is slower in this form than when he is unarmored. He is quick to react to protect someone, but his speed is still limited compared to another shinigami using Shikai. His Shikai represents his protective nature. It allows him to fight regardless of injury and helps him protect those he cares about.
Bankai: During Bankai, Iro becomes covered in a full suit of armor, making him nearly impenetrable and incredibly difficult to harm. His armor is also infused with red hot lava which makes any foe who attacks him take serious damage. He can manipulate fire and earth, summoning forth massive pillars of lava from the earth to attack his foes, as well as summon earthquakes. Also, his sword becomes covered in fire, adding to his attack strength. His Bankai's main weakness is that it brings out his darker side and cause him to lose his desire to protect in favor of trying to destroy his foe. He will attack and attack even when the best option is to let a foe retreat or to retreat himself. Also, because everything he touches turns to fire, he cannot touch his allies for fear of harming them. His Bankai is the representation of his darker inner self, the warrior that seeks to destroy his foe no matter what.

Bio: Iro was an orphan, raised in the Rukongai's 40th division. He was taken in by an old man and taught some sword play. He traveled around the more dangerous parts of Rukongai's districts, protecting children and taking them to his home district. There, he found an orphanage for the children he saved. After a while, Iro's spiritual energy became noticeable and he was taken to be trained at the Shinigami Academy. He graduated after 3 years and is a specialist in combat against larger foes and more numerous foes. He is also an excellent duelist.
