here are soem japanese phrases!
konnichiwa- hello in the afternoon
ohayou- hello in the morning or between close friends
konbanwa- hello evening
hai- yes
iie- no
dame- stop
tadaima- i'm home!
sumimasen- excuse me, sorry
domo arigatou- thank you (polite)
arigatou- thank you informal
doitashimashite- your welcome
ittadekimasu- thank you for the meal
nanji desuka?- what time is it?
sayounara- goodbye
hajimemashite- nice to meet you
ogenki desu ka?- how are you
hai genkidesu- i am good
iie genkidesu- i am not fine
daijobu?- are you ok? do you understand?
soo desu ne- i see
soo desu ka?- is this right?
tomodachi- friend
and last but not least:
anata no okaasan wa ushi desu- your mother is a cow

Cycopaethic kikkaku i'm taking japanese in high school this year. it's alot of fun. anata no obaasan wa sakana desu ka? is your grandmother a fish? I'm learning spanish... I figure to get around in the U.S.A. I'm gonna need to know at least some spanish xd ... thats true. we had some people come into our dojo and wanted their kids to join but they only knew spanish. they are taking classes cut DAMN! learning japanese names and english! wow thats got to be tough!

a as in saw i as in ink u as in use e as in hey o as in bowl
double vowels or consinents as just said longer.
like :
ie means house iie means no
hashi means chopstick haashi means bridge
be careful!!

also "desu" is pronounced "des" and "mashite" is "mashte"
