i am an anime soundtrack collector and included in my collection were:
vision of escaflowne
x/1999
ayashi no ceres
tsubasa reservior chronicles
grandia
final fantasy
slumdunk
dragon ball
la corda d' oro
ghost hunt
granado espada
vampire knight
code geass
etc etc...
okay...
unlike my friends, i love soundtrack cds for the BGM contents of the anime more than their open and end theme alone... and some of my favorites were...
vision of escaflowne lover's only (story of fanalia)
tsubasa reservior chronicle future soundscape I (a song of storm and fire)
la corda d' oro (lili no theme)
code geass (stories/ innocent days)
anyways, what are you favorite anime songs/ music/ themes?

ah... i still haven't watched death note so i am not familiar with it's soundtrack... i was only able to watch the live action version. and it is really interesting. i'll check it out...

I like all the music from Kyo Kara Maoh and Fullmetal Alchemist. My favorite theme song is probably Hatashinaku Tooi Sora Ni by the Standup from KKM, or The opening song of Kino's Journey: All the Way

I enjoy all the Naruto beginning theme songs, they pick them out so well!
LOVE the beginning theme song of Paradise Kiss- Lonely in Gorgeous and also the beginning song of Ouran High School Host club- Sakura Kiss

I would pick from just hearing the songs from the episodes the soundtrack to Pandora Hearts. Too bad it's $31.90 plus shipping. One of these days I will try to obtain it. 3nodding

I personally like the Bleach soundtrack because it has both slower more relaxing music and some more rocking music.

I'm not a fan of BGM CD which highly limits me.
I am a huge fan of industry anime so there are CD I buy for those as well as Character CDs. I own...

I love the music in Death Note and in Katekyo Hitman Reborn! And in GunGrave, the music really sets the mood so it's great there, too.

Well, my favorites are the one of Elfen Lied, specially the music box version(Amazing anime, I almost cried in the last episode), the sound tracks of Higurashi no naku koro ni and of Higurashi no naku koro ni kai, and the one of death note.
