Personal Information
Name: Kunikore Miura-Benoit
Aliases/Nicknames: Inari, Kitsune, Kit, Kuni, Kore, Vixen, Psychic Illusionist
Age: 23
Seat: Captain of the Gotei Gobantai (Squad 5)
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 107
Personality: Because most of Kunikore's young life was spent moving about between France and Japan, a wanderlust was born. Paired with her need to explore her surroundings, Kunikore is an outgoing observer, meaning that while she enjoys being around others in social settings, she also loves to watch people just as much. She is empathic towards those she cares tremendously for, going so far as to put aside her own wants and needs in order to tend to those in need of her assistance. Kunikore has an odd sense of humor, often sarcastic about the details of life occurring around her. However, once one gets past her polite and comedic exterior, deep beneath the surface lies a highly observant woman whom seems almost psychic in her ability to tune into the universe around her. She is always spot on in her ability to read people. Thus the creation of her nickname "Psychic Illusionist", an alias that attributes to her innate ability to understand everything around her and her defensive battle style. To balance with her wisdom, she is a a very curious and mischievous shinigami which also ties back to her other nicknames, "Inari, Kitsune, Kit, and Vixen". And finally, while a perfectionist, Kunikore has shown that she is a closet genius by zipping through the academy in record time to become a full-fledged shinigami.
Theme Song(s): Utada Hikaru ~ Teiku 5 & Utada ~ On and On
Physical Description: Kunikore, as seen to the right, has a small frame. Agile and femininely muscular, this shinigami carries an otherworldly beauty, her pale skin, blood red hair, and pale eyes adding to her uniqueness. As for her silver orbs, they lighten and darken with her changing moods.
Bio: Kunikore is apart of the Benoit clan. A family of royalty, however, they are not so well known. Which is fine because they prefer their privacy, but their anonymous status is due to the fact that they are Death Gods from France. The Benoit clan Princess moved to Japan's Soul Society as a way of forming strong allying friendships with Japan's Soul Society. That was over three-hundred years ago. Since then, the daughter of the French Soul Society King and Queen, has settled down with her shinigami husband, giving life to a girl, Kunikore.
Now as for Kunikore's actual story, she has always been extremely intuitive and quick-learning, so as a very young girl she found herself taking lessons that would help her to become a valuable shinigami. These lessons started as soon as she could properly hold a sword, however, it wasn't until her fifteenth birthday that her parents decided to finally place her in the academy, where her already finely-tuned skills blossomed during her part at the shinigami academy. Training since birth, as she liked to call it, allowed Kunikore to graduate with some of the highest marks of her era. Now at age twenty-three, and a prodigy, the young Miura is ready to make a name for herself as the new Captain of Squad 5.

Shinigami Information
Zanpakutō Name and Sealed Description: Bakushinchi and Brillez are a pair of simple blood red Japanese swords that Kunikore prefers to keep strapped to her person at all times. No matter the situation.
Zanpakutō Sword Type: Sealed State and Shikai: Katana, Bankai: Sai
Zanpakutō Element: Unclassified, though fire seems to be the only element capable of activating Bakushinchi's explosive material. As for Brillez, the element for this Zanpakutō will remain unclassified as illusions do not fall to any element.
Zanpakutō Spirit: Bakushinchi and Brillez are essentially one whole, split into two blades. However, to appear before their shinigami mistress in spirit form shows that they have two different minds of their own, both agreeing on the physical attributes of a fox demon. Bakushinchi, being the more quick to ignite of the the two, appears to Kunikore as an actual fox. Brillez, the intellectual illusionist, becomes a deceiving humanoid fox demon.
Call Out Name: "Jihakka!" (Detonation) - Bakushinchi. "Chiratsuku!" (Dazzle) - Brillez.
Shikai: Though it appears to be a simple katana, Bakushinchi is made of highly flammable and explosive material that when Kunikore uses her spiritual energy or kidō, it causes whatever has been struck with her blade, to explode. When in Shikai form, the blade steadies and slows the drain of Kunikore's spirit energy so that she can use more energy and kidō to activate more hits of her blade. In addition, by swiping at empty space, Kunikore can have her sword release a powdered form of Bakushinchi's explosive and flammable material make-up, which she can then activate to explode.
As for Brillez, Shikai allows this Zanpakutō to create visual and audible illusions that dazzle Kunikore's opponent with their seeming sincerity. Though strong, creating these fantasies would drain her energy quickly if it weren't for Bakushinchi's opposite effect.
Bankai: Bakushinchi-Maru has all the qualities of its katana, and simply evolves into one of the two Sai seen to the left. In addition, all fire type of kidō spells are amplified in power. So needless to say, Kunikore has made sure that she knows all fire type spells as well as learn to use her spirit energy to create her own.
Bankai for Brillez is the ability to merge - if willed - with Bakushinchi, forming a single Sai blade with the capabilities of both Zanpakutō.
A more powerful technique to her Bankai allows Kunikore to supposedly "fuse" with her Zanpakutō spirit, the trigger word, "Mélange". This allows her to gain fox ears like Brillez as well the tail, claws, and fangs of Bakushinchi. She appears to have become a fox demon like her Zanpakutō spirits. Of course, this is all a hallucination, as her illusions have become so much more powerful than when in Shikai. So where Kunikore could only create visual and audible illusions before, in Bankai, she can pull her victims into fantasies that affect all senses. The trances are so effective and powerful that they are quite literally incapable of being broken. This almost always leads to the defeat of Kunikore's opponent, either by death, serious injury, or unconsciousness. Her mood and mission depends on which reality of these she chooses.
Reiatsu Color: Blood red, with wisps of black, purple, and sapphire. As seen in the picture to the left.

• Bakudō #61: Rikujōkōrō (六杖光牢, Six Rods Prison of Light) — Summons six thin, but wide, beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place. The target is then unable to move any part of there body including the parts that were not struck by the beams.

• Bakudō #75: Gochūtekkan (五柱鉄貫, Quintet of 1 kan Iron Pillars) — Summons five incredibly tall and thick pillars to pin a target to the ground.

• Bakudō #77: Tenteikūra (天挺空羅, Heavenly Rickshaws in Silken Air) — Transmits messages mentally to anyone within an area of the caster's choosing. In addition to reciting the spell, the user must draw specific markings on their arms, which are animated by the spell to convey the messages. The messages can be spoken either by the caster or by another within the vicinity of the caster.
Incantation: "Black and white net. Twenty-two bridges, sixty-six crowns and belts. Footprints, distant thunder, sharp peak, engulfing land, hidden in the night, sea of clouds, blue line. Form a circle and fly though the heavens."

• Bakudo #99 Part 2: Bankin (卍禁, Great seal) — This spell covers a target from head to toe with spiritual fabric (first song), stabs them with numerous metal blades, or nails (second song), and then smashes them with an immense metal cube (final song).

• Hadō #31: Shakkahō (赤火砲, Shot of Red Fire) — Fires a ball of red energy at a target.
Incantation: "Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south!"

• Hadō #88: Hiryūgeki Zoku Shinten Raihō (飛竜撃賊震天雷砲, Flying Dragon-Striking Heaven-Shaking Thunder Cannon) — Fires a gigantic electricity blast of spiritual energy resulting in an truly enormous explosion.
• Hadō #90: Kurohitsugi (黒棺, Black Coffin) — Forms a box of black energy around a target, which is then pierced by dozens of energy "spears", lacerating the one inside from head to toe. Its appearance and function is reminiscent of a common magician's trick, as well as certain torture devices used during the Spanish Inquisition.
Other:
• Shunpo (瞬歩, Flash Step) — This demon art corresponds to a "haste" or "boost" skill, allowing a shinigami to move his or her body within a certain distance at super-speed. It is speculated that this art works in combination with foot combat, hohō.
• Senka (闪花, Flash Blossom) — A flash step combined with a spin to quickly move behind the enemy, followed by a strike aimed to destroy the saketsu chain and the hakusui soul sleep with a combination of two quick thrusts.

• Hakufuku (白伏, White Crawl) — This technique muddles the consciousness of its target.
• Kyōmon (鏡門, Mirror Door) — It creates a glass-like barrier which is difficult to break from the outside, but quite simple to break from the inside.
• Keikatsu (啓活, Hiroshi Life?) — A healing technique.
• Shimoku (紫木, Purple Wood?) — This ability causes the opponent to become poisoned.
