Rules for the gods & goddesses forum

This forum is for discussion of deities, UPG, lore, and how they impact our lives. It is not for debate. Any discussions that get too heated will be moved to our ED, or the thread will be locked and members encouraged to start the discussion properly in the debate forum, depending on the situation.

Keep in mind:
- If you are a soft polytheist, you may think of individual gods as all the same entity. Be aware that many polytheists find this offensive. Despite what you believe, treat the deities as if they were individual entities.
- UPG is not Lore. Your understanding of a god is important, but does not trump the shared understanding of thousands of people over the centuries. Despite what you may have been told, Hekate is not a crone wink
- This is a place where you can share rituals, poetry, art, photographs, altar or shrine ideas, personal experiences, questions, and ideas. Something someone posts may be very important to them, and you should respect that when commenting.

Rules:
- Respect the gods. Even the ones you don't necessarily believe exist.
- Do not post spells.
- Respect UPG. No, it's not lore, but it's still important to the individual. Be polite if you question it.
- If someone questions an experience you have had with a deity, do not get all affronted and pissy. The individual is likely genuine in their desire to defend the deity in question from misinformation, and is serious in their questioning.
- Respect the cultures you draw your deities and worship from. Understand that something you do may be offensive to that culture, and in fact to their gods. Respect both enough to accept this if necessary and alter your practise.
