Carter (x)
In his youth, Carter assumed that having Dream Sight was a gift. He was able to see things that others couldn't and this made him special. Then the nightmares started. During everyday activities, something can trigger one of his 'visions' and cause him to see future events. Since puberty they have attacked him, but now, not even the good 'visions' can revive his sanity.

Cumulous (x)
Cumulous is a haughty, self important, extravagant dragon. He doesn't seem to get the fact that his 'ability' - Storm Sight - is kind of... common. He's prejudiced against riverstones and likes to use them as servants, thinking he's better than they are. In his youth, he predicted a MASSIVE storm that would wipe them all out... His prediction turned out to be about something else entirely, but he still sort of believes that the big storm is coming...

Whetstones

Arbre (x)
Arbre is well known in the pack, mainly due to his charisma and utter dedication and selflessness on behalf of the Mountain Road. He has yet to recover from the death of his mate, Nari, but has started to rediscover joy in life as he proudly raises Abalis, an orphaned dragon he found as a babe.

Ciel (x)
Ciel is one of the few Mountain Dragon Whetstones, and a female at that. But she never let her size stop her from becoming the best fighter she can be, even matching up to Arbre in some sparring matches.

Fischiare (x)
Fischiare's size and strength make him typical of a Whetstone, but despite his outward appearance, he's a real softy. He finds enjoyment in singing.

Fraise (x)
Fraise is just as tart in personality as the tangiest strawberries that are her namesake. She's sarcastic, sharp-tongued, and clever, but underneath, she's still sweet. She just hides the sugar behind the acid, partly because she was expected to be the strongest child in the family and partly because her first mate ran off after she laid her eggs. She's had fears that her feelings about her children's father would spread to her feelings about her children, and not wanting to hurt them, she left the girls with her parents, as her son had been taken by his father. Fraise has mellowed a lot since coming to Mountain Road, making the acidity a thinner and thinner veneer on the sweetness. She has a strong desire to protect those she cares about at all costs, a desire that cost her her family, in the attempt to save them from her acidity.

Stormfall (x)
Three words can describe Stormfall: Clumsy. Sweet. Clumsy. Oh, and did we mention clumsy? He's crumbled parts of the road, he's destroyed traps, and he's caused a few rockslides. No one's been killed, but he seriously lacks the coordination that he is continually reminded is necessary of Whetstones.

Riverstones

Abalis (x)
Found by Arbre when he was abandoned as a baby, Abalis is now in training to become a Gemstone. More specifically, a Keystone, though he hides some doubt about whether he'll ever make it to that rank... Still, Abalis wants to help everyone he can, and keep people from being hurt. He'll work as hard as possible to reach his goal. He looks up to Arbre as a father figure, but he still hasn't given up on the hope that his parents are still out there.

Anbre (x)
Anbre's parents joined the Mountain Road for a brief time before they passed on. Anbre is generally a sweet dragon who plans to be a Riverstone and learn, perhaps, how to make things such as scarves like the one her mother made her.

Harar (x)
Harar is deeply troubled by his past, for his father was an unstable madman, and although he was rescued by Arbre and Nari, Nari passed on and Arbre shares several marking with Harar's father, who also happens to be Arbre's brother. Furthermore, his best friend (and possible love), Arbalète, lives in a separate pack with highly different views on life. Harar's main sources of joy are Jess, his adopted daughter, and his craft, carving wooden jewelry.

Harokin (x)
For as long as he can remember, Harokin has wanted to fly. To be a bird. He wants to soar through the sky... So he practices 'flying' a lot, an exercise that often includes jumping off things and flapping like a maniac. Since his dreams of flying seem to be coming true very... Slowly (as he puts it), he's become a Riverstone, and enjoys making things out of many materials, but especially bird feathers (necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc.)

Jess (x)
Jess was abandoned by her mother at a very young age, but can honestly care less. Harar is all the family she needs, not to mention great-uncle Arbre and not-uncle Abalis. Despite her perky and happy-go-lucky disposition, she has an odd fascination with ghosts and those they leave behind, especially bonded pairs like Nari and Arbre.

Nightshade (x)
A mostly quiet young girl who loves to gaze at the stars. She begged to join the pack, eager to do what she could and have some companionship.

Sissinnguaq (x)
Sissi's mother was a dreamseer and her father was an icebringer. She inherited neither of their abilities. Before her mother died, she told Sissi the legend of the Mountain Road and how badly off it was. Sissi decided to join the Mountain Road. For now, she is a Riverstone making stone jewelry like the necklace her father made her, but she plans to someday learn to be a Dreamstone. A Jack(eline) of all trades.

Tiogar is a fierce dragon who loves to hunt. He's planning to go for Whetstone.

Xue Bào (x)
Bao loves weaving. Bracelets, nets, nests...she can weave feathers, vines, anything flexible enough, she can weave. Bao isn't the...most tactful dragon--she has a bit of a short temper--but she loves eggs.

Basho (x)
Basho is a wandering poet/storyteller who loves providing entertainment for others. He's quite reliable and fairly clam, until he starts a story, and doesn't let much get too him (though at times he can get a bit sensitive over his lack of a tail).

Deceased and Dispersed

Nari (x)
In life, Nari was a keystone, and devoted herself to her craft absolutely. She was also bonded to Arbre, and wished to have children someday, especially a son, but was tragically prevented from doing so when she wore herself out curing a critically ill patient and (ironically) died from the disease. She has no regrets about her actions, and misses Arbre terribly, although she thinks it's about time he stopped moping around and got himself a new mate! For her own part, she's doing just fine, and continues to look after the pack as a ghost.
