Welcome to Potions Class Here you can learn all about the mysteries of potion making.
Please be considerate; do not try and show off; ans stick to the task.
*I do permit small chit chat, but if it goes on too long, or becomes disruptive I will dock house points.*
I am usualy on between 7pm-10pm central. I will check posts everyday, so if you need to ask me something I will be sure to answer in time.

Jenna walked in and sat down. She had always liked potions, despite snape teaching it, but now she LOVED potions because her favorite teacher was the new potions master. She hoped that since her mom and him had been going out, he would be easy on her.
"Good morning Matt. I cant wait for the first lesson!"

Alx walks in and sits near the front of the class she liked potions as it meant doing a lot of practical work. She got her books and quill out now prepared and ready to work.

"Alright class. Time for today's lesson....Polyjuice Potion!" He looked down at the exited faces of the students. " Polyjuice potion can transform a person to look exactly like someone else. One dose lasts for one hour, but doses can be renewed, apparently indefinitely. The most famous case could possibly be when Barty Crouch Jr. used it to pose as 'Mad-eye Moody'. Now... Can anyone tell me the ingrediants?"

"Good job Alx." Matthew said, although only half heartedly due to the obvious answer. "That is correct, however hair is not the only thing you can use. Anything which would hold the person's DNA, or genetic makeup, can be used." He retured to his desk.
"Now if everyone could open their books to page 71 and read with me..."

Polyjuice Potion
ingredients:
lacewing flies stewed 21 days, leeches, powdered bicorn horn, knotgrass, fluxweed picked at full moon, shredded boomslang skin, and a bit of who one wants to turn into.

Judging from the Ministry of Magic leaflets on the subject, there appears to be no physical way of telling the drinker of Polyjuice Potion from the original. The only security measure recommended against Polyjuice Potion is to work out a prearranged method of verifying someone's identity, such as a password or a question that only the real person should be able to answer, but this system can of course be defeated by a sufficiently thorough and clever impersonator.

Serenity turns the pages of her book eagerly to page 71. Potions has always been her favorite class and she was looking forward to learning a new potion.

Shura looked thoughtfully at page 71 and raised her hand, "So Professor, what would happen if you used the Poly Juice Potion that was made for a human on an animal?"

"Hey thats a good question. I hadn't thought of that. My name's Serenity Sinclair, whats yours?" Serenity turns around to shake her hand.
