For those of you that enjoy role playing, here's a thread dedicated to just that! Perhaps it will be created into a different sub-forum, but that depends on the popularity of the thread.
[PROTOTYPE] Road to [PERFECTION]
The year is 2015. The United States is losing to the infection. Hives continue to grow, and infectious beings roam the country side, spreading the disease. Alex Mercer is dead, making the three way struggle into a one-on-one war with the army against the virus.
Or is it?
Numerous reports scattered throughout the United States describe anonymous individuals that have performed great feats, both prosperous and blasphemous, throughout the country. Who are they? Where did they come from? What are their talents?
You are the prototype. Bred for combat, your main objective is to kill. However, you are nothing compared to that of your ancestor, Alex. As though you were an infant, you are left with only one mutation out of many. Some have brutish fists capable of grinding bones, others have a whip that can cleave foes in two. But you all have something in common: you want more, and you don't care who becomes your victim.
Fight alone and investigate your mutation, or find others like yourself and work side by side for a common goal--or consume them to gain their power.
The world is changing. Change with it.

[RULES AND GUIDELINES]
Rules:
-Be semi literate. This is for fun, but hard to read actions are kind of, well, hard to read.
-Keep it M for Mature, not NA18. This is one of the most violent games in the world, not a porno.
-Don't be too Godlike. Your titanium alloy jacket cannot be the reason you survive all the time. You may be awesome, but even a god can bleed.
-No deathblows to fellow players! They're not rag dolls like the army. Play fairly.
-Have fun!
RP Guidelines:
Let's get one thing clear: Prototype is a sandbox game. You don't have to follow the mission guidelines (hell, you don't even have to do the mission at all!). But if you're going to go off the mission, it is recommended you at least branch off of it in some way. Perhaps your story can revolve around a certain scenario that occurs during a rescue mission? Whatever. Point is, your world, your choice, your funeral.
Everyone starts out with the movement abilities such as gliding and running really fast, as well as super human strength and thermal/infected vision. Primary abilities, such as sword and hammer fists, are the abilities you can have only one of. After you absorb a character with that ability, you will gain its traits.
If you are "consumed," then the enemy has only weakened you to a state of mortality until the mission (or day) is over. He will gain your power for a total of three missions before his/her body rejects the change, causing him/her to lose the ability.
If you absorb someone and take on their form, you can only have that form until the mission is over. You will have to absorb a new specimen for the next mission.
Missions will be decided either by myself, or by popular vote in a poll I will put up. The mission types include Kill, Rescue, Stealth, and Warfare:
Kill: Eliminate the target given. Rescue: Protect the target assigned. Stealth: Sneak around and accomplish the assignment given. Warfare: Pick a side, fight for control.
Best rule of all: Do what you want! Prototype, as said before, is a sandbox game. Create any scenario you want, any drama, any tension, and so on! It's your life story, you are not limited to the missions!

[COMBAT SYSTEM]
This is for those moments when you engage with another of your kind. Army and Infected do not count, as you can slice and dice them whichever way.
When you are attacking:
-Go to post action and click on "Roll Dice." -Set number of dice to "2." -Set sides to "6."
Odd numbers (1,3,5) indicate a miss. Even numbers (2,4,6) are a hit. You can be hit five times before you're knocked out.
Example:
"John leaps up into the air, beginning to charge up his ground blast. He smirks as he plummets to the ground where Sally stood, his giant fists combining for an powerful blow."
During this post, John rolled "11." Since that is a odd number, he missed. Sally would reply something like this:
"Sally charges and jumps out of the way as John creates a new hole in the ground. She brings her whip to the front and swings at John."
Sally rolled "4." Since that is an even number, her attack struck. John would reply:
"A sharp pain hits John's side as he is sent flying into a building. The cut on his abdomen was deep, but he would live. He jumps into the air...[continues]"
