Aeryomant felt simultaneously miserable and absolutely smooth as kitten's fur. The old lady he lived with had hoodwinked him...well, maybe yesterday? The sun was different now. He looked outside the open window. Yes, probably yesterday. The food in his dish that he hadn't deigned to touch only seemed a day old.
He'd taken him somewhere in a car. He'd recalled that because he hated the sensation of being flown around without your feet moving. But eventually it had come to an end, and then they went into a new building, that smelled of fear. He'd been immediately terrified, but his old lady had been very comforting. He could hear screams of cats - cries of fear and pain.
"Is anyone there! Oh help! Help me!"
"Something wrong! I don't feel right!"
"Please make it stop! I want out! Please let me out!"
"Shut up, you lot! God, it hurts!"
Aeryomant had been shaken to the core, calling out his own worries, trying to find out what was going on, but the other cats seemed to be unable to hear him, drowned in their own concerns.
Then he was on a metal shelf that was very cold. A man was holding him roughly. He'd purred to show that he was very friendly, but the man didn't let him go for a minute.
Then something bit him. He'd turned to see what it was, but then the room started to spin.
Aeryomant tried to stand, and bobbled his way over to the window. He felt like his legs weren't working - and his...crotch felt funny and pinchy. He tried to jump up on the couch, but he he couldn't make his legs work right. The old lady walked up to him and picked him up and placed him on the couch. He shuffled over to the open window and called out. "Hey is..." he quelled a bit of nausea, then called out again. "Is ANYONE out there?"
"I think...something bad happened to me..."
((Wow, this is sadder than I thought it would be. ::snuggles her own ball-less kitty:: ))

Moebokk had finally managed to escape his meddling humans after being trapped inside for several days. Going back home after reporting their finds to Vaertun had turned out to be a mistake. There had been a whole lot of fussing among the two legged population when he gingerly pushed through the cat flap and went to take a much needed nap. So what if he was limping a little? There was hardly any blood and there were cat-nappers to be caught!
But sadly he had never had much success in teaching his humans to understand more complex commands than "feed me" and "let me out" he couldn't explain this, and they refused to let him leave the house and insisted on coddling him and smearing foul smelling stuff on his scratches.
It was high time to get back to the junkyard and make sure everyone was all right so he took the shortest way, running through gardens and later over rooftops. With cat-nappers on his mind he nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard a voice coming from the open window he was stalking under.
"Did they get you?" he called out, unsure who he was talking to and what had happened to them.

Aeryomant managed to get his paws up on the sill, but couldn't make himself jump the whole way up. "The Jellicles at the Junkyard? No. No, I came home all stunk up from being buried in garbage, then my old lady bathed me and took me to a strange scary place.
"I think the human man...I think he DID something to me...to...well...umm..." He tried to look, but due to his natural rotundness, couldn't see much. "They stole the fur off my bum...and it hurts."
He felt dismayed - his old lady had been REALLY upset when he came home stunk up. He'd TRIED to wash most of it off, but she'd plunked him in a tub without so much as asking him. He'd complained, but really, once he was clean and the stink was gone he'd been relieved. He hadn't really thought the two events were connected. They...probably weren't?
He shook his head, trying to clear that fuzzy feeling from between his ears.

Junkyard? Garbage? Moebokk was more than a little bit confused, but to be completely honest it didn't take much to make him get lost in a conversation, even on his good days. But the cat in the window was clearly in distress, he understood that. Against better judgement he crouched and pushed himself off the ground, jumping as high as he could and aiming for the windowsill. He made it, but not without a struggle, and for a moment he thought he wouldn't be able to hold on.
"Why would they steal your fur," he asked, utterly bewildered as he took a better look at the cat inside. "It doesn't make sense."
Or did it? Humans were after all somewhat lacking in the fur department. Hmmm...

"I know!" Aeryomant moaned. He dropped to all fours and turned so the other cat could look. "What on earth did they do?" Even turning made his bottom feel pinchy. Well...not his bottom, so much as somewhat below that? He shivered a little from the anesthetic still in his system. His old lady was a dottering old dear in Aeryomant's mind and it didn't make sense she'd ever do anything to really harm him. At least not on purpose. Humans were a little clueless at times, and his old lump wasn't the smartest. But she loved to give him treats and stroke his fur. And she made all sorts of noise at him whenever he did anything, which he found extremely amusing.

The other cat's backside had a sharp smell to it, a bit similar to the scent of the stinky stuff his humans had insisted on rubbing on him. It also gave him vague associations to a scary place from his youth... He tilted his head and inspected Aeyomant. A square patch of fur was missing, but there was something else too, something nagging at the back of his mind.
"They did take some of your fur," Moebokk said slowly, unable to hide his amazement, "What an odd thing to do."
He sniffed once more and sneezed because of the smell. Something was wrong... Not just the fur... Moebokk knit his brow in an attempt to crack this mystery.
"Oh," he said, and his eyes grew wide as he finally realised, "I think they stole your bollocks too."

Aeryomant felt a chill go down his spine, and most of him became slightly fluffed at the thought. He turned slightly, uncomfortable. He sat and tried not to think that yes, it wasn't just fur that was missing under his rump...it was...well...everything that was supposed to be there.
"Why...in the name of the first cat...would..." He looked up at Moebokk. "I mean..." His heart sank. His old lady had had him...castrated?! No, she'd NEVER do anything that would really hurt him!
"It's got to be a mistake, my old lady, she wouldn't have let them do that to me on purpose!" But how do you fix a mistake like THAT, he wondered in horror.
"Can...I mean...you think maybe...the humans could fix it?" He hung his head. "Why would they even want to do that...s'not like I ever done anything to them..." He began to purr, extremely upset, and lay down, trying to make his pudgy body as small as he could.
((Distressed cats don't cry, they purr, and loudly))

"I... ah..." Moebokk said, finally sitting down on the windowsill for lack of anything better to do, "I don't know. Stealing fur made more sense."
Being a cat, Moebokk had no idea what bollocks were good for really. They were a tomcat thing, and they just were. He could recall meeting males without them, but this was the first time he had experienced humans stealing them. If that was what had happened. This cat seemed certain that his Old Lady was nice, so perhaps something else had happened.
"Maybe they fell off," he suggested weakly. "I... This is just confusing. Just a few days ago I was wrestling with a bad cat, and now fur and body parts are being stolen. Are there still catnapped cats out there?"
