I like pictures, and I found this flash program by geN8hedgehog on deviant art that allows the user to combine bases and accessories to make the faces of characters of their own devising. I got bored and started making the faces of all the characters in the rp. I've tried to be as accurate as possible to the descriptions given in the profiles, editing eye colors and such, but I'm curious. Did I succeed on capturing your vision of your characters? Oh and see if you can guess the other faces too. It's almost a game. ^_^ If there is anything that doesn't fit with your view of the character or you'd like me to edit on the picture, tell me. I want to have a good visual in my head of your characters.

You've got all four of my characters perfect. wink Haha, I love the James one. The look on his face matches his attitude perfectly! smile All the DADA professors are good too. You got Landon's arrogance perfect with his expression. And Cay and McG are exactly how I imagined them. Excellent job biggrin
EDIT: And I figured out who everybody is once I opened another window and reread each of the pros. Hannah tricked me up though. I was asking myself who the heck that was, then it hit me. smile

What a fun-sounding program! I'll have to try it for book characters I read about sometime. whee
I see our six main characters at the top! They’re all so cute. 4laugh I can actually tell who everyone is except…we have so many blond-haired, blue-eyed girls in the RP that I don’t know which is which. sweatdrop
Sam and Em are good; I just love them, especially Em’s hair and that Sam is wearing blue and hearts! razz Sapphire’s hair is actually supposed to be wavy, not straight, but otherwise the two of them are perfect.
Prof Stone’s eyes are a little too space-out looking, but her colouring is right, even the bright colouring of her clothes! biggrin
You did a very good job. smile

I like Lucius.. Hehe... and Riannon stands out like a sore thumb because of her ethnicity..
Lol this gave me an idea to find another face maker.. thanks for the idea!

Thank you all so much! Rinn Black Were the background colors just random though? Pretty much, yeah. It was whatever colors I felt like that hadn't been used too recently. I might subconsciously associate certain colors with different characters or something, but those aren't conscious decisions on my part. Although, if I could use a certain color to help me, like with recoloring eyes, I used it. Heehee. I even attempted a hint at longer hair and a bow for him since the program didn't have the exact sort of style I was looking for, but I'm not sure the hints are very visible unless either you are really looking for it, or it's magnified in my Paint program. Rinn Black Riannon stands out like a sore thumb because of her ethnicity. Yeah. I tried to lighten her skin just a shade since she is half Irish too, but the blending didn't want to work right. So I left it the more dark olive. Minerva the Bookwyrm We have so many blond-haired, blue-eyed girls in the RP that I don’t know which is which. And I did want to portray the brightly coloured clothing that you mentioned in your pro, even though this program only showed the heads. Oh, okay, now I can distinguish them. 3nodding I noticed Umi said that about Ariel, but I didn't know which was Ariel until I read that; I couldn't discern on my own simply by looking at them.
Yes, there are lots of blue-eyed characters. I find that most people I meet in real life have either light blue or dark brown, so that's not unrealistic. Green is frequent too, but not as common, at least not in the school I went to. Grey and black are the rarest in my experience since I've only seen one of each of those my entire life.
I was so proud that you gave Remus the right shade of blue! biggrin I chose blue for Remus because Lily has green, James has hazel, Sirius has grey, and Severus has black. Blue and brown are the only two left, and I don't find brown eyes attractive, so I gave Remus blue. More importantly, the books say that Remus' eyes twinkle when he tells a joke. Maybe it's due to Dumbledore, but I can't imagine "twinkling" eyes that aren't blue. I know that Peter has blue eyes, but Peter's are a watery azure and Remus' are cadet blue.
It's nearly impossible to find fan art with a blue-eyed Remus, so I had to use brown/gold eyed ones on his profile because those pics had the hair, clothes, and facial structure that I wanted. Where in Merlin's name did the idea come from that Remus had golden eyes? question Seriously, if golden eyes were a werewolf trait, then everyone would've known what Remus was just by looking at him and he'd never have gotten through school! rolleyes
I gave Sapphire dark blue eyes because there wasn't another reason for her to be named "Sapphire" without them. After all, she's not born in Spetember (because I can't see her as a Virgo or Libra) so it can't be her birthstone.
Sam's hair has waves like in that avatar and picture of the little girl I put on her profile. 4laugh Her waves would be more like the ones that you gave Lily than the ones you gave Cay, though Sapphire's hair wouldn't ever stick up slightly the way Lily's is doing. Sapphire's hair is so long that it's too weighted down to stick up.
Sapphire wouldn't wear her hair in a ponytail or headband because her mother thinks it looks unsophisticated. (Funnily enough, those are the two ways that Em usually wears her hair!) Sapphire pins it up with clips and barrettes, leaves it down. or plaits it and wraps it around her head like a crown. If anyone ever gives her a flower, she may put that in her hair, too. whee In the winter, she wears it down nearly every day because it's so long that it helps keep her back warm like a blanket! lol Yes, that means in the summer she wears it up more frequently. When Remus meets Sam for the first time he thinks to himself that the length of her hair is completely impractical unless she's planning on being in a Rapunzel-like scenario. rofl
However, I still like the headband you gave her in that image since she loves wearing blue and the hearts are a good representation of her personality even if she doesn't often don pink.
Yeah, I think Prof Stone's are too round and wide. Maybe the shape of Regulus’ would be better? Glad you could use the hat! I’m going to have fun with Mel’s wardrobe since all of my other characters wear their uniform most of the time.

Matelia- I didn't even think of her when I was trying to figure them out. I had to reread Mary's description a couple of times too to find her. biggrin
Min- As for the hair and eye colors, I think mainly they had to be that way. Luna had a picture of her mum and they looked a lot alike so Ariel would've had blonde hair, blue eyes. Narcissa, well she is a given. With Cayden, the book described veelas as having silvery blonde hair. I just stuck with blonde because I imagine it would've been weird for Cay having silver hair. As for the eyes, since Lily is so well known for her green eyes and I don't really like brown eyes with blonde hair, I gave Cayden blue eyes. biggrin . (More specifically icy blue, which kinda remind me of silver in the sunlight. (My little brother has that exact coloring of eyes smile .))

Rinn, I finally managed to get the blending to work right, so Riannon is slightly lighter skinned now.

No problem at all, Rinn. whee I'm learning how to shade and blend properly with this little exercise. It's quite a task to learn to color on the computer, but I want to be able to computer-color my own fanart and recolor some others too, and so I need to start somewhere. And so, I might as well start with someone that has already made the general bases and color palate.
By the way, no time that you enjoyed wasting is actually wasted. xd
