You drive your vehicle up to the front door, where a young valet awaits you. "Park ya wheels for ya?" he says in an accent that sounds vaguely like Joey from "Yu-Gi-Oh!" "Ya look new 'round here, so if ya want, I could show youz the ropes..." ::You slip him a twenty:: "Nice. Well, to get around this house, you could walk from room to room by clicking the links below, or you can use the map to change floors and directly teleport to other rooms on your floor in one click. Of course, if you have a particularly favorite room, you can go there immediately by clicking its thread's name in the Mansion subfoum. So ya see, youz got a lot of options that way. At least, that's what the Godfather tells me. I don't know what she's talking about with the subforums and threads and whatnot."
"Anyway, this mansion's got four levels to it, the Basement, First Floor, Second Floor, and Attic.
The Basement's got two main sections to it, the public and private sides. Ya see, we got a nightclub called "the Underground" and a small bar & casino called "Capones" down there. It's a real money draw, and sometimes we find new possible members of the family among our clientele. But there are always people who wanna get in our house and mess us up, so everybody coming in to go to the clubs has to go in from the parking lot, through the security office, and get cleared and disarmed by the staff first. There's an extra thick barrier betwen public and private sides, and the only way into our house and the higher levels from public side is through a heavily guarded door behind the desk in the security office that then takes you through the length of the gun range, heh. In short, we won't be getting any unwanted people from the public side in our house anytime soon.
First floor is where you're about to enter. It's mostly the typical stuff every mansion first floor has. It's got a conference room, a library, a dining room, kitchen, and bathrooms. You know, the usual.
The second floor is the more private facilities. It has private rooms for the family members, whether they're staying here on a permanent basis or they're just squatting here to get the "heat" off of them. It's also home to each of our affiliated families' offices. There's some room for expansion up there too, yeah.
The attic doesn't have much in it. That's just for storage right now, but if we need more space, the attic will always be available. As far as the grounds, we got the parking garage, but not much else right now. There's lots of room for expansion there too if they need any extra buildings. They're talking about putting in a garden and stables and some stuff like that in the back, too. We'll see."
::He lowers his voice a little:: "Hey, just so you know, I get to hear lots of rumors as a valet, so if you're looking for some juicy tidbits, don't be afraid to come to me. I'm sure I'll hear some sort of buzz about what's going on."
"Well, that's your twenty bucks of rundown on the mansion. All that's left to do now is jump right on in." ::He opens the front door for you:: "We hope you enjoy ya stay wid us!"
