ok, i'm very much for keeping the yearlies longer until the new shop is done. why? because i don't have the funds for it right now and still want some yearlies.
the downside is the inflation for sellers will drop so selling them for obscene profit won't happen anymore. but that's amazing news for questers. (i'm somewhat both so either works for me. )
selfish? yes, but everyone's view on it comes from selfishness.
HOWEVER it was really dickish of them to hold that poll 1-2 days before the deadline. i know lots of people got screwed by the iron fist from that one. i saw lots of people paying like...a crap load..like over 100k for a halo or 90k on the chibi wing set, etc.. then they find out they have 2+ some months to get them?
no, that's ******** up. i have no doubt in my mind they couldn't have done this earlier. i don't think they woke up yesterday and said 'omg i just realized we won't have this shop done in 2 days!!11'
it is a huge blow (whether it be good or bad) to the exchange and mostly a bad blow for exchangers that worked hard for those items at obscene prices.
what do you guys think? not just about the yearly shop becoming the not so yearly shop but the poll being there to trip you right at the finish line?

Agreed with Ozmo. And my reason - I'm not sure if it's selfish - I just wanted the damn shop gone because it's not a ******** yearly shop anymore, and it's just going to ******** up the flow of the exchange for another what, coupla months? Yeah, nobody is looking forward to that. I got so annoyed at all the people who said it wasn't going to be a big deal in the exchange, especially the ones who are NOT exchangers and don't know s**t about how the site's economy works. The way I see it, the only people that are going to gain from this are the people who were cutting it close (hoping their paychecks would come in on time to allow them to get the yearlies), people who were lazy (and probably still will wait until the last minute to get anything), and Solia's funds (which I have no problem with). I just wish that for once, the admins would stick to a deadline. =/

I'm kind of disappointed that they didn't remove the shop.
I mean, I rushed in to collecting the yearlies I wanted only to find out that I had two extra months. =/

I don't really care either way.
I have a longer chance to get some if I make an avi with one, it's good for those who are questing, and the exchangers can have their ******** up prices once they leave the shop.
But I do agree it should have left on the deadline they specified.

I think it's ridiculous that they extended it.
Solia doesn't have a cash shop my a**. rolleyes I would believe it if they had gotten rid of the yearlies, but now it's just looking like "We want your money! Oh but we're so much better than Gaia!" rofl

I don't really agree with this.
Yes it's unfortunate they didn't keep to their deadline and extended the shop.
But they have a good reason for it not closing right away,
and the USERS themselves were the final say in keeping it open not the admins.
