I found the opening band, The Bravery, a tad boring. No offense to you Bravery fans. So when the last song of theirs was played, I cheered hard. The Bravery played from 8:05pm-8:30pm. Then Green Day started to play at 9:05pm, everyone cheered so loud. Then, Song of the Century played in the background while they entered the stage. It was great, they were full of energy. While playing their 3rd song, East Jesus Nowhere, they pulled up a kid named Rus and he "saved" him. He brought out a water gun sometime during Holiday, I believe, and I got soaked. laugh.gif During St. Jimmy, he stopped playing right in the middle of the song to make sure the person who fell in the mosh pit was alright. Then, during Hitchin' a Ride, it was hilarious. He told the crowd to make "sex sounds" while he joined in. Haha. King For a day was amazing as well, when they were lying on the ground, he started to sing parts of Stand By Me. I can't remember which song it was, but I'm pretty sure it was during Basket Case? I honestly can't remember, but he brought this shirt gun and threw 6 shirts to the audience. And he had this awesome gizmo that shot out toilet paper, it was epic. laugh.gif Billie pulled up someone to sing Longview, the first guy ******** up, the second guy was awesome! He connected with the crowd greatly. I had a chance of getting picked, the second guy was sitting two ******** seats away from me. Oh well... During the encore, everyone was shouting so ******** loud, chanting "Green Day! Green Day" Then, Billie pulled someone from the crowd to play half of Jesus of Suburbia, he was ******** great. smile.gif Then, he pulled up this chick during Dearly Beloved to sing and she ******** killed it...No offense to her or anything... While they played Minority, Billie introduced the band. Lastly, he played Good Riddance, it was beautiful. Everyone was singing along. At the end of the show, Tre came out and threw a bunch of his sticks and I ALMOST caught one, but stupid body guard.... It was an amazing experience. I was so close to the stage too, even though I wasn't in the mosh pit. Each time Billie or Mike came to my side of the stage, I could see nearly every detail of their sweaty faces. laugh.gif OH AND TRE DIED HIS HAIR BLONDE! The show ended around 11:15pm. I wish it lasted all night. I have a ton of pictures and videos of the show, I'll upload them tomorrow. (Courtesy of my sister, I was too busy enjoying the show to take pictures, lol)
Anyway, so this is the setlist: 1. 21st Century Breakdown 2. Know Your Enemy 3. East Jesus Nowhere 4. Holiday 5. Are We The Waiting 6. St. Jimmy 7. The Static Age 8. Before The Lobotomy 9. Boulevard Of Broken Dreams 10. She 11. Hitchin' A Ride 12. Longview 13. Brain Stew 14. Jaded 15. Basket Case 16. King For A Day/Shout/Stand By Me 17. 21 Guns (It was amazing) 18. Awesome. I went to my first Green Day concert ever on the fourteenth; it was the most amazing experience, haha. Billie Joe came right into the stands RIGHT BY me and my sister. It was totally unreal.
