First of all, I went to a marathon of all the movies before. Because of that, we (the twenty five people watching the marathon with us) got our own small little theatre (well room in the theatre) that was warm and we all got marvelous seats that we wanted. We didn't even have to wait in line or have people sitting next to us if we wanted biggrin . Also, I met the nicest person ever, it was awesome. Now to the movie.
There were SO many changes and tweaks. Surprisingly though, I loved it. The changes (well most) fit to the plot. Besides the Hogwarts battle and Dumbledore's funeral and Luna's commentary, there wasn't much I was really missing.
Rupert Grint was FABULOUS! I thought he did marvelous. I loved watching him and the love potion/poison scene was especially awesome. Emma Watson was great also. She looked gorgeous at Sluggy's party. I loved the birdie scene. Her emotion was realistic, and I thought it was well done. Bonnie Wright was quite good. I loved how she was the same height as Dan. Hehe. She wasn't one of my favorites, but she did well. biggrin Evanna Lynch was A-MAZE-ING, as usual. Haha, loved the Spectra-Specks and her dress. She looked gorgeous also. smile Matthew Lewis didn't have many lines, but he did awesome! He looked cute in his little server uniform. biggrin Tom Felton was AWESOME. He did so well. The Sectumseptra scene was marvelous. I was so proud of him. He pulled it off well. And in Dumbledore's death scene, he was fantastic! Jessie Cave who played Lavender was so cool. She fulfilled her role and I loved watching her. The hospitial scene was very good and I loved her putting the 'my sweetheart' necklace on Ron and then getting on his back. Hehe. Freddie Stroma who played Cormac was quite good, especially with the dragon balls (Haha) and he wasn't that bad on the eyes wink . And finally Dan, he was quite good. Some parts he was a bit shaky, others he was amazing. He looked so awkward kissing Ginny though! He liked puckered out his lips far out and I was so confused. The Felix Felicis scene was hilarious! I'm still laughing about it. "And pinchers *hand gesture goes here*"
There were so many amazing scenes, I can't choose a favorite. I generally liked the the funnier scenes more. I loved how pain-stakingly obvious it was for Ron and Hermione. The hospital scene was really cute for them.
This was my favorite movie so far. I liked how they followed the book, but did their own thing. My only main complaints was that the beginning felt rushed and the Burrow battle wasn't a favorite.
I can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts heart

Suze I did not read yours first.. I wanted to get my two cents out before my ideas got interspersed with other's.. so if I repeat anything, I am sorry..
1) Not happy that there was no funeral... (albiet, I liked the idea of the lights shooting up into the dark mark, and Harry picking up Dumbledore's wand in his office..)hour 2) Dumbledore didn't hide and stun Harry?? But I did like the effect of Snape shushing Harry... 3) I LOVED Luna's dress for the Christmas ball, I wasn't pleased that they rushed the scene... 4) The tension between the boys in the dorm room, bedtime scene was sooo good!! 5) Snape... Oh god I <3 Alan Rickman's voice.... I liked the way he portrayed the character... 6) The movie felt too rushed, important things were missing, nonimportant things were put in... Lots of pointless angles and special effects... 7) Tom Riddle, they chose a very good actor to portray him, I really liked his acting. 8 ) The tension between Ron & Hermione was good, and I loved the breakfast scene after Ron and Lavender break up, the spoon and glare was hilarious! 9) I might be stealing Slughorn's hourglass for use... 10) The special effects were amazing! The pensieve was almost how I imagined it... eccept it was wooden in my mind.. stare I adored the effect of the pensieve. 11) BATTLE! Where'd it go? sad face..... I really wanted to see it... 12) I loved the Sectumsempra scene, and I enjoyed the chanting... I want to record him reciting a phonebook..... Anyways, off the fangirl train that just derailed... I really did enjoy Tom Felton's acting, and Dan's acting after the fact was brilliant, a bit mellow, but I think he made it work.. 13) Felix... oh man, stoner Harry is fun! Ehehe the way he said "sir" that and what he said after it (I was laughing too hard to catch words, but I heard the inflection) Had me rolling... 14) I liked the film, however it left much to be desired in the ways of plot and quantity.. The movie lagged in parts, and rushed way too quickly in others, but since Warner Bros refuses to do a long movie, like Gone With the Wind, then they have limited time to work with, and this was a good rendition of the book, when you take time constraints in..
So now that I have blabbered on (And I am pretty sure I said some things twice xd ) I will leave you all be as I give myself to Morpheus.)
(I will proly read Suze's report in the morning and edit what I said when I have a clear mind... ) sweatdrop I did not cry! Almost did... but I held myself together... that is until I got into the car.. crying

Wow. Just Wow. I'm still trying to absorb it all. A really well done movie, overall.
I will have to use the story Slughorn mentioned about his fishy. That was just too beautiful to pass up.
I really liked the funnier scenes, too. Like the love potion or the Felix Felicis. Or Harry arriving at the Burrow, even.
No Dursleys, though we did get a rather astute Muggle girl that noticed the difference in the Wizarding photographs in the Daily Prophet.
I loved how obvious it was for Ron/Hermione even though Harry still gave things for Ron to assume over. I liked Cormac too. He and Lavender fulfilled their purposes wonderfully.
Absolutely loved Luna throughout. Her outfits were wonderful, and I heart the lion hat. So Luna.
Bella and Cissy were quite good, although I wondered who in the world provided magic lessons to Fenrir Greyback.
But they did well with the emotions and the drama of the sixth book. Just don't go in expecting Harry to beat everyone up in the Hogwarts Battle. My brother did, and he was very disappointed at the end. I thought it was okay, because I accept that one movie can't include everything.
Oh, nearly forgot. I adored the awkward conversation between Harry and Ron about Hermione and Ginny. lol
And there's my disjointed review because it's after four in the morning here. biggrin

I'm glad you both liked it too. It almost felt like it was based on the books events, but it's own movie. I thought it was pretty cool how they worked it.
Oh goodness, I loved the Ron and Harry conversation about Hermione and Ginny. "And she's attractive." "Attractive?" "Well she has nice skin." "Nice Skin?" "Yeah" "Hermione has nice skin." *awkward look here* rofl
I loved the story about Francis too. Ohh.. you are going to use it. smile Awesome.
Just some more comments. As I think of more, I'll probably add them ^.^

I liked it, it was very good and very awesomely done, I think dumbledore's hand probably should have been a little bit more decayed, but it was still extremely awesome, I am just a little bummed I have to wait a whole nother year to watch the 7th/8th movie!!!

Now Dumbledore's hand was an interesting thing. I too thought that at the beginning it would have been more decayed. So as the movie went on, I paid attention to it, and the withering actually crept up his hand until his whole visible hand was withered and the withering went under his sleeve. And I didn't notice any relapses or anything, so I must actually applaud the makeup artist for keeping the time-line in mind.

There was no make up, it was cgi, they just painted more and more of his hand green, I saw it on the behind the scenes, and I thought it made sense, it would have been hard to physically shrivel dumbledores hand, or put all that make-up on it and then him cast a spell, such a thing would probably cause him to accidentally drop or throw his wand across the set, which could have been hilarious for any bloopers...
