I always laugh when people make fun of me at school for being a lesbian, mostly because
1) Their insults suck arse. 2) And, I can bet money that I've dated and/or kissed more girls than have the guys who insult me have.
What about your guy's experiencs at school? Or just with classamtes in general?

I'm not really sure I've been ridiculed in school. At least not to my face. There have been times, like in grade eight, where I was rumoured to have been a lesbian, just because I was fond of hugging my female friends, holding their hands {&& sometimes skipping down the hallways with them.. <3 && pecking them on the cheeks and stuff. The rumours extended a couple years later, but that may also be because I've never crushed on, dated, or had any attraction to the male population.. P:
I don't mind. I never really did. Sure I was curious to see who started the rumours, && sometimes their stares && snickers crawled under my skin, but on top of it all I could really care less.. :/ I like me for me.. :] So. . .Yay.. :'D

Hah...no one ever took anything up with me to my face. I suppose I either looked too harmless and acted too quiet, or just people were very un-forward. But I've still never once in my life been openly picked on for being queer.
I was sort of, behind my back, though. I found out much later that my brother was teased about my sexuality and asked if he was gay too--and apparently he told them to go screw themselves. Sweet of him, but I wish he'd said so I could go and face them up myself too.
I know there was definitely talk, since my parents found out about my girlfriend from gossip that got to someone's mom, which then spread around the community and resulted in an unfortunate phone call to my mother asking if she knew her daughter was holding hands with another girl at school.
People still remember me as "the lesbian" today. A lot more of my classmates are, I discovered, queer, but no one came out (of course) until college, so I didn't get much of a benefit of out company.

When I was in school, I was never open to who I was. I liked to let people decide by themselves on who they think I am. If you didn't know me, more than likely you might have thought I was a boy. Then when you finally do, I just get an awkward stare like "she's a girl?". For some who never got to know me, I would get a secret admirer letter once in a while on my locker. Saying I am so cute and would like to date, and got plenty of those too on other schools when I used to manage the girl's sports teams. But once they found out I am a she, they pretty much kept their distance and not heard from again.

I have never been called any names, but unfortunatelly my girlfrind was when she was in highschool. Some guys even picked on her really bad, tried to hit her. She fought back and after that there was a huge scandal because the guys said she threten them with a gun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT TRUE OF COURSE!!!
The truth got out, but she had to confess she is a lesbian and I stood up for her admiting I am her girlfriend and so my parents found out, and her parents and everybody, but at least everything was ok after that! I am happy high school is over, but can't say things are easy in collage...

Well, I used to get ridiculed at school like around 6th or 7th grade because I'm always "getting close" with my tomboyish friends.
It's not so common for me now, seeing as I attend an all girls school and same-sex relationships are tolerated pretty well.
It's normal to see two girls engaging in a light peck or two down the hallways in my school..

this is why i hate judgemental people they see something different and they decide to make fun of it. ive talked to alot of les and bi girls in my life in middle school and in highschool and they were all picked on. all i said was wheres the guy or girl that was doing this to them they told me and i held a knife to their necks. i kno your not supposed to solve your problems with violence but sometimes its my only way to answer dispicable people. in the end i always get pinned down or restrained by someone who cares about me and i let them go. stressed sweatdrop confused wink

I'm a lesbian, and although, I didn't fully come out at school, one of my friends blabbed and a girl who hates me found out. I was in Wal Mart and she and her friend saw me and my friends and started throwing toys at me. The stupid thing is, is that the girl who hates me, is Bisexual. And she thinks I have a crush on every girl.... Do you see the problem here?

My girlfriend and I are ridiculed quite a bit at school, I don't care and my girlfriend doesn't care as much since 80% of the high school thinks we're adorable :]

well I wasn't completely open during high school. I became more comfortable with it my senior year since I knew I probably would never see these people ever again. No one said anything to my face, but people have talked about me behind my back since elementary. But at this point I don't care what they had to say or what they have to say now, I love who I am and no one can say anything to change that heart
