Description by xXx-Belle ame-xXx

On the outside, likes many roads that are paved in light grey stone that all lead to this city like a spider web to its center. The city, no matter where one is coming from, greets its visitors with a large grey stone arch with a giant silver plaque nailed by bolts at the top of each arch saying "Welcome to the Royal City of Rubeus."

Starting from the outskirts of the Royal City, this is where the majority of common to poor citizens choose to reside. Neighborhoods of many types reside here, with many races from many areas, and many people who are Native to this rich town. The houses show many different sizes and shapes, although some may look the same due to similar architects building these houses. Houses of many ages and colors are seen, with many houses containing beautiful green grass and some people choosing to plant gardens outside or having trees. Walking in one of these neighborhoods give a joyful feeling of peace, as the generally friendly neighborhoods greet anyone who wish to reside here, and communicate together as a society for those who have lived here. Due to the outer radius of Rubeus being a residential area, there is not too much to see. If one wishes for excitement, they may go to the central part of Rubeus. They have many options to get there. There is the train station that lies in the residential area, for those who wish to get to the central city in an quick and easy manner, or some people can take the driving roads there, as well as a walkway.

In the central area of Lasterus, this is the area that most travelors, tourists, even the citizens, love the most about Rubeus. Also known as the heart and pride of Rubeus, the central city is a busy town filled with many lives, many stories and many ongoing actions. One can enter the usual busy areas, and hear the sounds of cars honking, people walking on the sidewalks, and traffic lights guiding the streets. Looking up one can see many good sized buildings. There is also the marketplace, where people of many nationalities, whether Kyentenese, Fredan or Oenian, these vendors have traveled far to gain business by many who are enchanted with exotic doo-dads and delicious delicacies. The marketplace surrounds the main attraction and best focal point of this large city, the Central Fountain. The Central Fountain is a elegant structure of porcelain color, but composed of marble. The water that is held in this fountain is as pure as the air around the city, and as clear as the sky on a sunny day. There are four angels in the center of the fountain made of the same white material as the fountain, standing on a round pedestal, pouring water into the fountain with pots.

Of course the best part is none other than the King's Castle. This embodiment of Royalty and Luxury is located in the northern part of the central area of Rubeus. This castle is guarded by tall, sturdy settlements of piked gates, all of them colored with the rich silver that truly matches the castle's appearance. Guards are seen on the exterior as well, near the gate where many can come visit the current monarch, King Lasterus the XVII. Those who are allowed to visit, which happens to be foreign leaders, Royal Embers, and special guests, are given access to talk in. The first thing seen upon entering the castle are a circle of beautiful fountains, with statues of angels in the center of the porcelain beauties. There is a large walkway dressed in a Royal Blue velvet carpet, accented with silver silk. Upon entering the castle, one sees the walls that go tall into the arched ceilings of light ash grey. There are light bulb lit lamps among the walls of the castle, that lead the King, Queen, and any visitors through the royal home upon nightfall. There is much to see in the castle, and many rooms occupy the space of the building. The main attraction itself is the throne room, where the King and Queen themselves are to be seated during the day. It is a sight to behold, as many ornates of silver line the onyx marble floors, and two silver maps are to the sides of the thrones. There is a special spot for someone to pay a visit to the King and Queen, where they are to state their business. This castle is indeed an epitome of beauty and royalty.

~The False Angel~

"Life seemed to be simple and easy for me. During my childhood I had little to no difficulty with situations that would arrive. I didn't have any complaints about how life worked for me, so I was happy.

I used to spend my younger years playing "knights" with the neighborhood kids. They used to make fun of me for my short stature, calling me Baby Kurtsa, or Vega Shortsa, corny insults. I never liked it. Anyways, upon that, I then met a man one day while playing in the forest, who was intrigued by my will to become a knight. He wanted to see what I could do, so I did what I could. Swing! Swish! Slash! I tried swinging my pathetic excuse of a wooden toy. He laughed. I felt ridiculed, embarassed. He asked me if I could lift a real sword, so he handed me a basic metal sword.

I tried lifting it, no avail.

The man smirked, and then impressed me with how he could lift a heavy sword with one hand. I was amazed, like I had seen a superhero in front of my eyes.

I spent the next few months following the man everyday, as he went to taverns and restaurants. He didn't mind buying me food and juice. After a couple of months had passed, he asked me if I wanted to become a knight.

Boy, was I excited, I gladly yelled yes. He smiled, but then told me I didn't have what it took to become a knight. Disappointed, I was about to walk away and give up, until he offered to make me have what it takes to become one.

I've trained with the old man for four years now, and I could say I've gotten stronger.

However, what was about to happen in my life, I would not expect..."

"Dammit!"
The young Vega had cursed, tripping over his socks as he tried rolling them through his feet. He hastily dressed himself, and placed his boots on. He was wearing typical casual clothes, a shirt, an open hoodie, a nice hoodie for November, blue jeans and walking shoes. Today was the entrance test for the Royal Ember academy, a school for those who wished to be a Royal Ember soldier. It taught in fields such as academics, physical training, and mental training.

Vega was excited, as he quickly rushed out of his bedroom, leaving his bed unmade and parts of his room all over the floor, covering the pine wood floor. He ran down the stairs, and then quickly ran out the door, forgetting to say goodbye to his mother. He quickly ran to the train station, paying for his ticket, and boarded the train.

>>Vega Kurtsa<<

"Waiting on the train, waiting on the train...." He muttered repeatedly, as people gave him the strangest looks around. He was tapping his foot with his arms crossed, not grabbing the metallic rail like he was instructed to. When the vehicle came to a stop, he immediately ran out. "Running to the test! Running to the test!" He yelled in the same rhythm as he did with the earlier mutter, rushing his way through Rubeus. He jumped over a manhole cover, ran through the fountain and ran down the road in hopes of not being too late on his exam.

Vega had been running the entire time, panting for air as he desperately made the dash. His breath was becoming shallow, his throat drying from the air rushing in. He saw the road up ahead, as it was cut off by a long fall down a moat. Vega looked down, and saw a deep fall. He gulped, taking a couple steps back as he faced the panel that was nearby. He saw a nine digit number pad, and a red and green light, as well as a card slot. He dug into his pocket, and pulled out a card with his photo in it. "Good, I didn't forget." He sighed in relief, as he slid the card in, and pulled it out. A voice instructed.

"Please insert your pin pad."

Vega proceeded to typing his five digit number. As he did this, the red light faded, and the green light below it lit up. Shortly, the moat glowed, and created a glowing blue bridge, and the door on the other end opened. Vega immediately ran as the glowing bridge quickly faded, a fail safe for those trying to break in. He sprinted, the bridge disappearing quicker, as he ran through the door and made it in.

"Good...." He said, panting.
