Description: A mountain plateau, one of many that lies in a mountain range north of GTB known as the Tophead Mountains, is the fighting spot for this round. Moving from the standard of being inside a stadium surrounded by people, Midus Sonners has decided to make up for throwing the fighters into a fight full of bad weather and has taken them to a spot that is nice and warm with nice breezy winds of the fresh mountain air, and a good amount of water surrounding each plateau, with various other hills present throughout, including some land and a background view of the higher mountains. Each fighter will be in a location far away from the other matches, so neither will be capable of seeing one another, unless someone launches a pretty large technique, be it visually or by magical sense. Cameramen rest in flying helicopters and on islands out in the water to keep a close watch on the fights taking place for all to see from the safety of their livings and the large screen present back at the GTB stadium.

Grass and rock is the terrain, with a few small ups and downs that keep the plateau from being perfectly flat. The edge drops down in a curve toward the waters, the plateau raised at a height of fifty feet above water. The slope isn't steep, so if one slips down the hill, they can easily catch themselves and start walking back up, though not without some effort.

How The Fighters Arrived: All fighters were transported via helicopters, one helicopter per fight with both fighters being transported in the same vehicle.

Special Conditions: None.

Field Measurements:

Here is a visual of the field measurements, with the assumption that the plateau is circular on its top.

User Image

Ten Count Boundary: The moment someone goes goes outside the 30ft diameter, meaning touching the slopes, the ten count starts. To show where the ten count starts, a holographic barrier surrounds the plateau in a half opaque orange color. For reference, the distance of the slope from the edge of the top to the water is 15 ft.

The flying rule remains.

"CHIPPACHOPPACHIPPACHOPPA"

"No fuggin' way."
Elliot spoke, inaudibly due to the chopping blades of the helicopter landing infront of him. He still couldn't believe they had to put both combatants in the same chopper. Probably saved them money but still. He spent the next 30 minutes of their flight sitting next to Vash, stink-eying him the entire time. This was the punta who had beaten his younger brother in the first round, and it took Elliot all he could not to rock his s**t while they were still in route. But there was a time and place for everything, and the Cuban knew that. Speaking of time and place...

"Bzzrt T-Minus 30 seconds to drop zone...Get ready boys!"

The Pilot's voice buzzed with static in the oversized headphones on Elliot's ears. Unbuckling his safety belt he collected his weapons and set them in their usual locations on his body. What appeared to be a katana on his hip and a kusarigama coiled and clipped to his back. He smiled as the doors opened, immediately feeling the barrage of the sun on his skin. As the bird hovered about five feet or so above the center of the rocky plateau Elliot hopped out, feeling the rock's impact through the rubber soles of his dirty canvas sneakers. He wore his usual uniform, dark green cargo shorts and a black beater. Raising his arms to a stretch he took in the sunlight on his body and metabolized it, smiling as he was fully immersed in his element. He was sure to keep its source to his back, and thusly in his opponent's eyes hampering his vision. These conditions were a welcome change from his last fight. That was doozy.

Though they weren't present, Elliot knew the small fan base he acquired were huddled around their TV sets, at the arena, in bars, and back home in the Spanish projects of Durem's lower west side. In his last match he fought the law...and he won. That wasn't just his victory, but for people everywhere. For all of those mistreated by those supposed to serve and protect, for the wrongfully accused, to the gangbangers who were beaten, to the kid who was driving just a bit too fast during quota season.

This one was different. This guy messed with his brother, his hatred was deeper. Blood wars buddy.

His opponent had eye'd him during their entire flight while Vash.... Well, Vash went to sleep. The slight rocky motion of the helicopter and the noise it created was rather soothing to Vash. Upon arrival the voice of the pilot brought him back from his slumber. It was rather startling and it gave Vash the boost he needed to keep from having a bit of grogginess from his short nap not to mention the short hop from the craft to the ground.

It didnt take him long to beging to love his surroundings. They were high up with water all around and that gave him the same advantage as last round, well, the round that never really happened. He wore the same outfit as the last matchup, his white high collar jacket, with his black jean pants and sneakers with his pouch upon his side as always. Upon his arms were his gauntlets with his sword and duffle shaped jug on his back. His only addition were his rather stylish blue shades that covered his eyes.

The moment his feet touched the surface of their battlefield, his generators were running, silently building power for use later. This was definatly going to be an interesting match. Hastily moving a good ten feet away from his opponent as the helicopter left, he dropped his bag from his back and stood waiting for his opponent. His hands relaxed at his side.

Elliot's palms were open and raised, outstretched towards the sky as he rose to his tip-toes. Breathing in deeply, he'd hold his pose and breath for about a second or two before exhaling, letting the limbs fall lifelessly to his sides.

There would be no introduction as Elliot took the lead in their tango. As the chopper returned to the air Elliot's hand would slide to his back and draw his kusarigama. His left held the scythe and loops as his right shared the uncoiled slack. He began to swing the chain with his right, adding more speed and power with each cycle. The Cuban took a skip forward, his feet finding remarkable traction as opposed to his previous fight. His move shrunk the space between them from ten feet to about seven. Close enough that he could still work the outside while his opponent was defenseless, at least for now.

Vash's back pack had just hit the ground when that chain would be hurled upon him in a whiping motion, headed by a metal weight, cylinder shaped with a point at the end. The chain would lash forward like a viper, at first aimed for Vash's stomach. Right before impact Elliot would flick his wrist, sending a wave through the links causing it to whip up at the man's mouth. For the purposes of the tournament the weight was coated in a layer of rubber, but if the attack connected at it was intended Vash would be sifting through the pebbles looking for the fragments of his teeth. He would give the chain some additional slack if he saw Vash try to block, hoping to have the flexible chain bend around the limb and continue to its target.

Well this was a b***h. His opponent was a ranged type fighter. As shown in previous matches, he was the kind of man who liked to take things up close an personal. So, without so much of a second thought as to how good of an idea charging forward would be, he dashed towards his opponent as the chain whipped out. As he ran he moved to his left of the chain, allowing the fly past his body on his right. Quickly he changed the distance from seven feet to three with his guard lifted into the traditional boxers guard once again. Once again, he'd open his side of the battle with a quick jab to his opponents face. He kept watch on his opponents weaponry throughout his movements for he knew things could get dicey if he wasnt careful.

Meanwhile, his generators were still working away at building his for his later attacks.

A dodge. Couldn't say it wasn't expected. First attacks rarely hit, but atleast it got things going. As Vash moved in, Elliot took a breath and concentrated, letting go of his anger and fortifying his resolve. He kept his glare on Vash every step off his approach, an unmistakeable look of disdain playing in the Cuban's brown eyes and furrowed black eyebrows.

"Whatcha' got punta(b***h)?"

He asked mockingly as the man was upon him. Elliot immediately recognized his familiar fighting stance and pretty much knew what was coming next, seeing as a boxer's primary, if not only weapons were his fists. And so the attack came forward, a jab with what one would assume was Vash's right hand.

Vash had wrongly assumed Elliot was a ranged type fighter. As his previous matches had shown, he did the most damage when he was right close and personal. He just liked to have all bases covered. With a speed and precision borne of years of training, and street-life experience, Elliot would show Vash just how well he covered those bases.

The move would begin with a step-slide, forward and to the left, dodging the jab . At the exact same time, he would swing the kama in his left hand upwards, hooking the blade into the soft tissue of Vash's armpit as his body committed to the punch, leaving the area unprotected. The kama would find it's mark even before Elliot's feet completed their slide. Elliot planned to snuggle the cold steel right up in Vash's glenoid cavity, or sever the tendons in the area, either way leaving the limb entirely useless for the fight's remainder. Though the point was dulled, the sheer speed of the attack was likely enough to drive the tip through his shoulder, not to mention the blade, which kept its usual cutting power. It was the classic counter-attack during the attack.

Holla-at-cha-boi.

His opponent forgot something though. Vash had two hands and a nifty little trick that held up his opponent in the first round. You see, Vash was just slightly above the normal person when it came to a few things. One of those things was his reaction time. Unlike most, he held an enhanced reaction time that allowed his mind to process information much faster and react to them in a moments notice. The attack he initiated was a jab, a quick short strike that retracted shortly after its target was reached. Vash expected his opponent to dodge, thus why he didnt throw a punch that held all of his body weight behind it. He had successfully lured his opponent into.....

His eyes kept watch of his opponent and as he sidestepped, and moved his scythe, Vash left hand would be on the move as well. The palm of his metal covered hand would push it away as it attempted to connect with his armpit. He by no means changed its speed but rather its trajectory so that instead of connecting with his armpit it would just graze the side of his right shoulder as it shot upwards. Now, pivoting on his right foot he lifted his left leg and shot a quick knee to his opponents exposed left side due to the missed attack and the fact that they were now close enough for such an attack to hit. Driving upwards with all that force would more than open his opponents side for an attack.

It appeared that while Vash was slightly 'above normal' in reaction speed, he lacked in calculation. Perhaps in parrying the scythe, Vash had failed to notice Elliot move forward and to the left, taking him further away from the man. Knees were best thrown when close, really close, like so close you can smell the doritos on the b*****d's breath. With an almost three foot long kama in hand, on top of his arm span there was no way Elliot would have been this close to him.

The knee would miss by inches as Elliot regathered his balance taking a breath to internalize more of the solar rays that coursed over his body, though he was more than ready to defend should his opponent choose to follow up, which he likely would.

By all means was this a bit of confusion on Vash part for two things had happened that should have guarenteed the connection of his knee to his opponents side. First was his opponents side step. This side step was all that it was. It wasnt a side hop, or a side jump, it was simply a small step to the left to avoid connection. He wouldnt be able to increase the distance between bodies by such a large degree. Secondly was the fact that his opponent also came fowards, decreasing the distance between the two even more thus by pivoting on his side he should have been able to cover the distance between the two for a successful hit. All this was combined with the fact that Vash was close enough to hit his opponent with his fist. There was no possible way for his opponent really to gain such a large distance between the two with just a simple sidestep.

But somehow it had missed. Oh well, that wasnt too much of an issue. His knee missed its mark, however, Vash wasnt stopping there. Catching himself just after the knee missed its mark, he dropped his leg to the ground, quickly shifting weight upon it and using it to lunge foward, putting himself into punching range yet again with his hands in the same guard as before yet somewhat more relaxed than before. Once again his right fist moved in for another quick jab to his opponents face. It was odd for him to try to same tactic twice....

The step was alittle more than small, evident in how the kama would catch its mark before Elliot's feet were even planted from the move. As mentioned Elliot, had motioned forward and to left, this was simultaneous at an angle putting him at a range optimal for his weapons use, mid-range. It wouldn't make sense for him to move in close.

As Vash's arms took their guard Elliot would react to the repeat performance in a similar way.

This was probably the time to mention that Elliot was no slow poke either. A thief and pickpocket by trade, his quick wits, and even quicker hands were his meal ticket. Before he depended on his powers for robbery, Elliot was fast enough to shoplift faster than the security camera shutters could catch him in some of the lower end joints. True story.

As Vash's fist flew forward Elliot's kama would swat at the limb, aiming to hit at about the elbow. It wasn't a terribly powerful blow, but between the sharpness of the blade, and the speed of Vash's arm colliding with it, the man would be left it a pretty nasty cut. Coming from Vash's right, it would be difficult for him to intercept it, but Elliot left nothing to chance. To ensure his safety his head bobbed to his left a bit as he swung, and his free right hand would move to his hip.

Got one. Vash wasnt the kind of person to use the same attack twice unless he had a little trick behind it. He knew by this point his opponent would be paying attention to his boxing style and would be watching for him to close the distance and attack again. Like his opponent expected, he would do this and therefore bait him into attempting to block or parry his arm. Now his opponent had little background on Vash, but he too was from the streets, stealing, rummaging, and sadly having to kill at times just to keep himself alive. After joining with a gang he now called family, he quickly helped them rise to the top due to his quick mind and weird natural abilities. One, of which he had yet to show in this tournament. Now this being known, his ability to react was not something that only pushed him to the heights of a thief who was able to steal and go undetected. No this was a plane above that and it gave him an edge in most fights. The fact that his opponent too had quick wits only made him more eager to see how fast he really was.

Vash had been watching his opponents body closely as he threw his punch, waiting for his opponent to attempt to parry the blow. Here is where the epic "whoops," came into play. You see, Vash merely initiated the jab, moving in to bait his opponent to parry his arm. As his opponents arm signaled movement, Vash unleashed the hidden ability of his gauntlet in the form of a high speed burst. Using the thrusting motion of his quick jab, he released an electric charge in the form of an orb from his fist, giving the blast and extra push of velocity and less distance to cover straight towards his opponents face. Even moving his face while attempting to parry his extending fist would he find it difficult to fully dodge, if that was possible at all due to the fact that the burst was released before his opponents head began to move.

His right guantlet had released its full charge of 15,000 volts with an amphere charge of 13 miliampheres. The burst itself would hit him like a quick jab to the face rather than a full punch being that its voltage level was so low, however what would hurt like a b***h was the ampheres behind it. Thirteen miliamps was only two away from the lowest charge needed for muscle control loss, and thus would be on the high end of physical pain. This being known, despite its knockback would be that of a simple jab, the pain from it would be a bit hard to swallow. The great thing about it was that if it were infact to even graze his opponent, the charge would affect him with the same bit of pain. Electricity was so fun.

Now upon contact Vash hoped for disorientation due to the surprise of contact with one of his little surprises. Thus, he hoped for the abrut change in course for the rising blade that was at first trying to parry before an attack hit. Second was for the lowering of his opponents guard. If that were to happen Vash would dip low driving his shoulder into his opponents midsection and wrap his left arm around his waist and his right to grab his opponents left wrist to immobilize the use of his weapon while performing an old fashion takedown. He then hoped to quickly mount his opponent and begin to provide him with a meal of hammer fists to his face. Metal to face always equaled a bit of pain.

Oh, how clever.

Elliot saw it coming, or something like it. That's why he moved his head. Even still, electricity was pretty frickin' fast. Vash could have told him where and when he was going to hit him ahead of time and it probably wouldn't have made much of a difference.

"Engh!"

Elliot's face tightened as the muscles in his cheeks contracted and twitched. He could cope though. Elliot's secondary power was bio-electricity, meaning unlike Vash who relied on generators for the production of electricity, Elliot's body was a generator unto itself. He wasn't immune to it, but it did grant him resistance. On top of that, Bishop used electricity, and the two sparred often. If nothing else their matches helped Elliot to learn to fight through the shock. Despite Vash's wishes, it seemed his sneak attack couldn't hack it. Speaking of hack...

"THWATCH!!"

Largely undeterred by Vash's blow, Elliot's kama would cleave into the man's arm. Fake out or not, it was still there extended, if only slightly and Vash offered no defense against the strike. Elliot's arm had already committed to the chopping motion by that time anyway, and barring a direct shock to the limb specifically, or one to Elliot's face strong enough to course through it, it would continue forward as planned. The razer sharp edge of the scythe would bite right down to the bone, not quite as deep as the Cuban had hoped, but still enough to reap the limb of its usefulness.

Elliot's fans back home screamed in joy as Vash's blood dripped onto the warm rocky plateau, rejoicing as if Elliot had scored the first touchdown of the Super Bowl. At the bars and in the stadium there were high-fives and cheers all around.

At this point we play the waiting game, as there was a time limit put over Vash's head. Figuratively of course. In cutting Vash's arm, Elliot had sliced major arteries and veins, causing the wound to bleed profusely, hurried still by Vash's heart that was probably throbbing with anxiousness from the fight. It was probably a matter of minutes before he passed out, even less until he got light headed and went into shock. Even still, Elliot wasn't done with him yet.

The hand that had gone to his hip grasped the ninjato sheathed there, on his left side. In one fluid motion Elliot would quick-draw the sword and send the curved blade right down to Vash's kneecaps, as he was likely still reeling in pain from the steel lodged in his arm. The Cuban planed to cut just above the joints, bringing him to the ground, slashing the limbs like Crazy Bob slashes prices!

His opponent had missed one dire thing.

Vash was definitely surprised by what he could almost call a simple shrug off of his electrical attack, but, luckily for him, he had decided to change a few things. You see, his opponents parry was partially dependent on the near full extension of his arm. He couldn’t parry the area in which he he was targetting unless Vash's arm was almost fully extended, a feat that never happened since he stopped midway through his initial thrust and allowed the orb to continue through with the forward momentum. This would mean that the target being hit by the blade was not his elbow or relatively close but further down on his forearm. Now if his opponent was paying close attention he would notice that his gauntlets covered his arm all the way up to a point just before the elbow joint thus giving limited room for his blade to hit anything other than metal unless very accuratly calculated an no changes in assumed course was made.

Largely undeterred or not, the blade would cause no significant damage to Vash. Now, his right arm, due to the strike would be set off to his right, his opponents left which moved it out of range to stop his opponents impending draw. To remedy this problem, he changed his initial plan slightly and charged forward, but instead of dropping low to tackle around his opponents mid section as first planned, he only dipped slightly to where his head was about his chest area. He closed the little remaining space between them and wrapped his left arm around the body of his opponent, specifically around the right arm, while he quickly brought his right hand back into a grappling ready position to fend against his opponents free arm if need be. It was then, at this position with his head slightly lower and around the chest area of his opponent due to the dip, he thrusted his body up, recovering his full height and sending the top of his head straight towards the bridge of his opponents nose. It wasn’t a large blow of course being that it was an attack that didn’t have much room to build a large amount of force into it but if connected it should do its job of momentarily disorienting his opponent. Not only that, but by closing the distance and pressing his body into the body of his opponents, he reduced all effective room his opponent’s blade held by restricting movemet of that arm via pinning it between the two of them. If his headbutt were to work he would then use that moment of disorientation to shift his weight and take his opponent down to ground. From there he would mount and work on getting some good hits in.

"Clank!"

"Aye yi yi, this sucks" Elliot thought to himself as his kama collided with Vash's gauntlet, dispite the fact that his move was a swat, not a mere parry, and aimed at the uncovered part of Vash's arm anyway. Whatevs.

It was at about this time that Elliot noticed Vash stepping in, violating the Cuban's personal space bubble. He didn't know what this guy was into, but he wasn't about to just sit there and find out. "You don't know me like that homie"

As Vash charged forward and lowered his head Elliot would release a brilliant red torrent of concussive force from his eyes, opening the apertures so that the blast pretty much consumed the entire top of his face (nose, eyes, and foreheard area). Kinda sucks.

"Peeyooooooom!!!!" (Charge -1)

The blast would collide with Vash's dome bearing greater force than a roundhouse kick. Vash was fast, but let's see him dodge a laser he was running face first into. Vash's left arm was still trying to reach around, while his right was struggling with Elliot's kama bearing left hand.

Unlike most occasions, Elliot wouldn't just shoot a short burst, but maintain the blast, and therefore it's strength. In addition to this, over time the blast would gain heat, as Elliot was further fueled by the beaming sun.

Elliot's face would be bathed in a scarlet glow from the light his eyes produced, a sinister grimace forming on his mouth as the blast's heat approached 100F

His opponent would be displeased at the miscalculation of his swat/parry and his fans back home would have stood in preparation to cheer only to sit down in frustration at the miss of a "touchdown." It was all due to a slight miscalculation. His opponent was aiming for the revealed portion of his arm with the idea in mind that he was going for yet another jab while being cautious of any further tricks Vash may employ. The issue with this was Vash's arm never extended fully which ment the unarmored portion of his arm never became available for his opponent as it would have if he had extened it out fully, thus causing the strike to hit his armor arm instead. A similar miscalculation would save him here.

Jeez, today was just his lucky day in terms of near death escapes. So far he had managed to escape them all using quick wits and his heighted reaction time, but this one was just too close to escape without any damage done. His opponent had executed an almost flawless manuver that if timed perfectly would have left him in a world of pain and disorientation for a few moments. What saved him was that his opponent fired a bit too early. You see, his driving upwards that was supposed to take him to his ultimate doom would only occur only after he had a secure grip around his opponent with his left arm. Yes, his blast was too early. Being that he dropped his head, the only hint he had was the red light that was emitted. Of course Vash knew something was up and would move accordingly, shifting his body and head to the left and abandoning his idea of wrapping his arm around his opponents body and firing up. By this point he had already halted his opponents strike with the blade so he had no worries for an attack from that blade. Sadly, he didnt have enough time to fully escape the blast. The burst of energy collided with his right shoulder, hitting it hard and he'd deffinatly be feeling sore for a little while. Luckily the force wasnt greater than that of an axe kick or hed probbaly be looking at some kind of dislocation.

Vash knew, for now, it was a better idea to back up than to stay ontop of his opponent like he was but he wouldnt leave without a parting gift. Pushing, back with both legs as he gritted his teeth from the pain of the burst, he triggered his left gauntlet as the fingers of the gloves moved just over his opponents spine. In doing so be shot a second burst, this time through direct contact and in a wave fashion, through the fingers of his gauntlets. This attack was positioned directly upon his opponents spine and even though the voltage (15,000) and milliamperage (13) was not to cause any large amount of damage, it would hurt his opponent like hell especially with it being just over the spine. A nice departing gift as he moved away from the attempted immitation of superman his opponent was trying to do. Vash would continue to backpeddle, moving him quickly towards his dropped bag. His right arm, depending on the continuation or not of the beam would either be blocking its path with his gauntlets or readied to do so if it were needed to despite the pain he endured. Meanwhile, his left hand moved into the pouch at his side.
