An ex of mine had some scarification done years ago, and i was with him when he had it done. It was done with a medical grade scalpel, and to be honest, he traded it for a vacuum cleaner >< It looks appealing to me, especially after about 2 or 3 years on tan skin. My ex didnt really look like it hurt but it was pretty deep. What do ya'll think of scarification? Ever had it done? If so, pics pl0x.

I've got some tiger striping on my arm, along with a sigil on my left hand that I did myself, testing various different styles of scarification (scalpel, hunting knife, different widths/sharpness of the knives, different depths/cut styles, different healing processes [ointments, agitation, LITHA methods], and all that jazz). Each line on my body has been done in a different way than the others, and each one can be and has been used as examples and information for any of my clients. I've actually had more success using larger-bladed knives rather than scalpels (only if the client OK's it, of course) in my art, and have suggested it to others many times. Of course, different types of skin and colors of skin allow for different approaches, but that's something you learn from the client.

Tiger stripes sounds quite interesting. I'd be getting some weird little design >> After being cut pretty deep numerous times accidentally, this is one of the more taboo things i could take quite easily.

Scarification is something I've been doing for a while now, and branding is something that's coming up soon, although there's a much smaller client base for this sort of BodMod.
