You know to work in a federal prision, you only need like 9 weeks of training? And many people who do the training, are rarely of any law enforcement background I've thought of doing this, since jobs are scarce...Except for s**t/dangerous jobs like that. My husband is a little worried over it. Has anyone here ever worked in one?
Would you let your female significant other work in one?

No, I've never worked in one, but my brother-in-law does and my step-daughter spends most of her time incarcerated, as she is now. It does not look like a place that I would want to work. We don't even like going to visit her when she's in there. It seems dirty and the people who come in and out just for visiting seem scary to me. I know my husband is a guy and you asked concerning females working there, but I wouldn't even want him to work in one.

My father worked at a detention center. He's a genius, you see, and always was, but one guy got his hands on a fire extinguisher, smacked him atop his head, and stole his car.
He couldn't take tests after that. Not for a long time.
If I were to have a female significant other, I wouldn't want her working at a prison. I wouldn't say she couldn't, but I'd beg her not to. No only would she be sexually harrassed, but she would also be in far too much danger.
I'd think the same for a male significant other, too, though.

Well, you'd probably be working with other women, I don't see them putting female guards in a male prison.
So if you think you can deal with crazy bitches, it's all good. I've never actually been to a prison, my father was in jail for most of my life, and my mom always said we were going to visit him, but we never did.
If I had a girlfriend/wife, and she could handle herself, I'd be okay with it. I wouldn't like it, but these days, every penny counts.

they do have female guards in male prisons, my co-workers Mother took a job in our local lock up to make some extra money. It only lasted a few weeks after training. She couldnt deal with the guys jacking off in their cells, and some of the nasty things they said to her, and she's NOT a delicate lady, so for it to be that bad!! I'd never do it, nor would I suggest it to any other ladys.
