Aki walked out of the stands of the arena looking around. The setup pretty basic for the time being. A ring in the center as the arena was basically just a dirt ground with the occasional mud around the walls or in random spots of the arena.
Aki stretches her arms above her head as she looks around waiting for Taka to show up. She couldn't remember if she had ever fought Taka before. If she had it must've been a long time ago. Shrugging off the thought, she twisted her body to pop her back as she waited.

Taka walked into the arena after Aki with a confident grin on his face. He had fought Aki before. Infact, he lost to her and came in second in the Chunnin exam to her. He wore a different attire than his usual robes. He wore his actual ninja clothes and his Jounin vest, something he haden't worn in a long time. "Oy, Aki! Lets get goin, eh?"

In her own vest and attire, her ears twitch slightly as she smiles looking toward Taka. Standing with her hands at her sides for a moment before popping her knuckles and neck, she laughs.
"Alright, you start!" she said happily.

He close his eyes and chucked a bit. "Alright. If you want me to..." Taka pulled a pair of leather gloves off og his belt and put them on, razor sharp steel spikes poking out in the spaces between the knuckles. His grin then faded as he reached behind him and pulled out a pair of kama. "Lets begin!" He began walking toward Aki casualy, spinning his kama around his hands. A good ten feet away from Aki, Taka pressed down hard with hsi right foot, sending him into a dash right for Aki. He cocked back both kamas and turned them so the blade faced inward. He reached Aki and swung them at her, the left one aimed for her right hip and the right one aimed for her left bicep.

The smile faded once she saw the weapons brought out. Aki was never one to use them too often, but when she had to, she would. Pulling her small sword from behind her that looped in her belt loops behind her, she unsheathes it.
With Taka's attack with his pair of kama, she had to think quickly as she held her sword with a tight grip before shifting to where the one aimed her hip slid past her, but blocked the one after her bicep with her sword. An odd position for her to be in, Aki feeling grateful she was flexible, but she soon leaps back a few feet creating some distance between them.

As Aki stepped to the side, Taka did as well, keeping with her. He rose his left kama up again and faked a downward strike, raising up one of his legs to kick at her abdomen. Luckily for her, she jumped back soon enough at completely dodge the kick. He rolled the kama around the back of his hands as he back to circle her. He placed his left kama back behind him on his belt and clanched a fist. He quickly lunged after Aki, swinging the kama down towards her right knee. Taka deduced that Aki had but two options here. She sould either defend the attack or block it, so he decided to treat the situation as if she were to just block. With his left hand, he cocked back his left fist, and shot it in the direction of Aki's face, and stepping in closer to her so his left foot was in between her feet.

Aki was definitely out of the swing of things since it had been awhile since the last time she had fought someone around her rank. The blade of her sword making a clashing sound with his kama, though with the fist coming toward her face, she took it. However, before taking that shot, she shoved her left hand into his stomach channeling some of her chakra into it while twisting her fist into it causing a burn with the release of chakra.

As Taka's fist made contact with Aki's jawline area, the sharp steel spikes penetrated the skin, ripping in open and causing them to bleed. Taka smirked right afterward, but his smirk was changed to an agitated wince soon after. Aki's strike with her fist hit home, but not with the reaction she intended. Taka clearly felt the impact of the blow, yet didn't seem to back down. While Aki was away, Taka had begun to train himself to ignore most pain to a point, mind over matter. Taka jumped back and rubbed his stomach. "Heh... Nice hit." He placed the the other kama behind him and pulled out a single kunai from his weapons pouch. He put it into his mouth as he began to create handseals. 'Souton - Happa Hirate [Gravity Skill - Blasting Palm]...' Taka channeled his chakra into the palm of his left hand and pointed it at Aki. A blast of gravitatioal pressure was shot from his palm towards Aki. If it were to hit, it would send her back quite a few feet. Afte the shot was fired, he began to walk toward her, kunai now in hand. He waited for Aki's next move to strike again.

Taking some of the mud from the ground, she scooped it and put it on the open wound to stop the bleeding for the time being. Feeling the sting, she ignored it to the best extent she could. Though moving her jaw it popped and set back into its normal placement. Taking toward the wall, she focused her chakra into her feet and scaled the wall almost stumbling in a sprint almost getting hit with Taka's blast. Her eyes glimmered slightly as she jumped from the wall and landed releasing the chakra from her feet in a large gust of wind that sent mud flying toward him, but drying it to where it turned into spikes as the ground shook and cracked around Aki and some crumbled under Taka's feet with each step he took since the ground was steadily becoming fragile and filled with open pockets.

Taka was walking he noticed Aki use the jutsu. He didn't want to get hit by it, so he jumped to the side. What he didn't expect was for it to crack the ground. 'Hmph...' He then began to run at Aki again, stumbling a bit as the dirt cracked with every foot step. He reached closer and closer to Aki and jumped into the air. He launched the kunai that was in ne of him hands behind her and pulled another one out of his weapons pouch. This kunai had an explosive tag wrapped around the handle. As he came down he swiped the kunai at Aki, expecting her to dodge. Thats when part two of Takas trick would kick in.

With Taka moving close the Aki once more, she took her sword and placed it back into its sheath. With him closing in, she soon could see the tag that was on it and sighs a little. Though it was covered with his hand, she caught a glimpse of the paper. As Taka attacked her with it, she found it a chance to pull out one of her own kunai which she collided with his only to slide the tip along his skin cutting it open. It left behind a small blue trail along the cut. Though it was a bit cheap to say that her kunai was laced with a poison along the tip. It being blue, it was of paralysis. Each movement Taka would make would cause it to spread.
With her free hand, she pulled her sword out once more and leaps up slashing it toward him.
[more so she's pushing at him instead of going back]

((You didn't say you dodged/delected the first kunai that I threw at you so I'm just going to say you did to work it into my plan better. =3))
Taka smirked as the kunai blade stuck him. Without the use of a single handseal, Taka performed a substitution jutsu. Normal Taka would have swapped places with the mud, but he did not do that this time. Instead, Taka swaped positiona with not one, but two paper bombs! Aki's hit slashed one in half, triggering an explosion that set the other one off. In a loud 'boom', all that could be visible at Aki's position would be a thick, black cloud of smoke with Aki inside of it. As an added side affect to the explosions, Aki was very close to the paper bombs as they exploded, making them much louder than usual which would damage her hearing abilities.
From behind Aki, a poof rang through the air. The kunai that Taka had thrown behind Aki vanished in a cloud of white smoke and right behind it, stood Taka. He was grinning widely. He hadn'e been in a match since the Clan Tornument months ago and he was excited. His plan worked so well this time around, so well infact that he even laughed for a second. He bent over, picked up the kunai, and, with a sigh, hopped towards the cloud and began to slash at Aki's position.
