Sasuke has been kicked out of the Ninja Academy and wasn't even accepted by the Akastuki! His worst fears have become a reality!

Walking aimlessly towards the forest of death, Sasuke did not see the point in living any longer. Is there anyone out there brave enough to save Sasuke or is he destined to die?

Okay, would you like to start as Naruto, please? In a rescue attempt for Sasuke.

Sasuke had collapsed by a tree, laying there, motionless. He had heard several voices in his head. One of them Itachi's laughing at Sasuke's weakness. Another one was Orochimaru's.

Orochimaru was hissing in dissapointment.

He had also heard the voice of Sakura Haruno. She was saying, "And here I thought you were tough. It turns out that I was wrong about you Sasuke. I was going to be a good wife to you... but you wouldn't even propose. You are a real jerk for doing what you did. You made Ino and I cry. I hope you're satisifed you loser."

The words stung worse than Orochimaru's bite.

If only he could stop his own heart, was Sasuke's own thought.

Sasuke was growling inside. He thought, "Oh great, the person responsible for my downfall is here to taunt me. Maybe I oughta show him... then again... I am so weak, I probably couldn't muster the strength to do even that. It must have been days before I ate last."

Groaning, Sasuke made a sound to let Naruto know that he was alive at least. Weak, but alive.

Sasuke did not fuss. He rather liked having someone look after him for a while. His insides felt like they were burning, and yet, the ouside of him likely felt like a heater. Just giving off heat. Indicating that Sasuke had a fever.

As he was placed by the river, Sasuke began to hear the voices of the wind. Not realizing that some hallucination had set in due to the fever, Sasuke sang what the winds were saying, "Please listen with your heart and you will understand. Fox and Snake will be as one, please do understand. For you crave such power, and not wanting to be corrupt. Sasuke with your heart, please do understand."

At this, the winds fell silent as did Sasuke. Sasuke was going to sleep.
He only hoped that Naruto could be a parent like figure for once. For acts like this was what the Hokage did.

Sasuke could hear Naruto's voice. He had sort of had a craving to be with Naruto too. He wondered if he could somehow use his ninjitsu training, though unconscious to let Naruto know that Sasuke was craving some ramen. Of all times to get that sort of a craving, made Sasuke laugh on the inside, which caused Sasuke to belch on the outside and loudly too. A few nesting birds flew off in fright of such a noise.

Unaware of his hand actions, that his mind and body were acting as one, he, with his shuriken had drawn the message that he wanted to convey. It said, "Naruto, I am craving ramen. Can you believe it? Heh, I wonder if you could make ramen solo out here in the forest of death. I know of my surroundings thanks to the Ninja training we did. I guess that Kakashi wasn't such an a** after all. Anyways, if you can figure out how to feed ramen to me, I promise to be your lover or your boyfriend and I won't be a cold hearted bast'rd to you anymore either."

Using his training, he forced himself to waken. He then said weakly, "Thank you, Naruto."

He ate the ramen faster than Naruto ever did. He was really hungry. Sasuke then said, "You probably thought it was the fever talking when I mentioned ramen, didn't you? Hahahaha, that is so like you to think that. I don't usually crave it. But, I also know you always carry some on hand because you love it so much. I also know that with all that energy you put out that seems endless must be because of the ramen. I may not have thought it before, but... perhaps I underestimated you. In a way... we are on the same level. Think about it for a moment. Out of all the training we did, how many times have either of us seemed to totally out do one another? Remember what Kakashi said once, early in our training? He said that although I am superior when it comes to knowledge due to my bloodline, you too have a power that matches mine. That power, Naruto is your determination. Determination can get you far in life in anything that we do. And perhaps that is why Sakura could keep up with us. It was her determination to prove to me that she loved me, to get me to at least notice that she existed. Truth is... I was never really attracted to women, but... to men. Someone like you attracts me, whether I was able to admit it before or not. And you were the one who kissed me the first day we met, do you remember that?"

Sasuke smiled and then blushed, "Yeah, I know someone had bumped you, but... I liked the kiss. Why am I telling you all of this? Think about it for a moment. For all of the adventures we had together Naruto, who was it that always tried to keep up with you in our cell? It wasn't Sakura. It was me. Who always gave you attention, even if it was negative attention? It was me. Naruto... the point is, I like you, I always have. I was just too arrogant and hot-headed to admit it until now. Its also obvious that you share those feelings too. I mean, who was it that saved me when I was dying in the Forest of Death? It was you, Naruto. Oh sure, Sakura could have come, but if she really loved me, she would have. Isn't it clear to you now why I told you all of that? Its because in truth, I love you. Every time you say something that would be to others dumb and lets face it, you aren't the sharpest tool in the shed, but so what? My intelligence can make up for that. Plus, after a while... it gets kind of funny. Funny in a good way."

Reaching into his pocket, Sasuke pulled out something really shiny. It was a ring! He said, "Naruto, I am not really asking you to marry me per se...its just that... this ring has been in the Uchiha family for years and this ring symbolizes power. It holds enough power to realize your dream of becoming the Next Hokage, like you always wanted. You have worked hard for your goal, you know. And this ring won't give you any shortcuts, but what it will do is let others know that you are in league with a powerful clan that can get you anything your heart desires. If you wanted to open your own ramen shop you could and I'd be there to help you."

The fever had long been broken. Ever since Sasuke had sat up and was realizing he was really hungry.
