The sky was a lovely.... No, a romantic combination of oranges, purples, reds and all the other sunset colors. The wind blew softly, as grass and trees only sway to the way the wind was carrying them. A small blue figure passes by a lake and then stops, only to look back at it and pad his way softly to the lake again. Only in deep thought.
It has been a while since he could actually think without anyone disturbing him.
Only sighing to himself, Enkai was in deep pain, sorrow, depression. But he was also deeply in love as well. only holding his head down he hasn't really talked to his lover like he wanted to. Only making childish mistakes as he confessed his love for her a couple of weeks ago. He haven't really spend time with her yet. But at the same time, things were 'in the way' for them to really do that.
Or was that just another childish excuse for saying he didn't really want to spend time quite yet?
Either way. He did want to spend time now however, he is tired. Not just physically but emotionally as well. All the crazy things that happened over the pass couple of weeks just made him weak. He just wanted to rest. Get away from it all. But he knew he can't. Not at a time like this. He knew what he had to do. And that was to sit down and talk to her. If only for a couple of minutes. He had to see if they were on the same page, and see how she feels about all of this. And if there is anything he is doing wrong.

Midori was walking by the lakeshore, taking in the beauty of the sunset, like she had done on many an evening already.. She remembered Enkai mentioning something of the kind that he enjoyed this area, its scenery and peace. Therefore, the female now came here every night, to think, and also secretly hoping she would eventually meet him here.
Enkai, her.. supposed mate. They'd known each other for a while, and she'd liked him from the very start.. Only to find out that he liked her too.
But lately.. everything had become quite.. chaotic, to put it simply. Strange gladiers popping up from nowhere, Enkai basically ignoring Midori when all she wanted was a little bit of his attention.. She wasn't exactly jealous, but she couldn't come up with a better word for what it was that she felt when he treated her coldly like that. Didn't he like her after all..?
Even the mere thought of that was almost enough to break her heart. Every time it crossed her mind, it brought tears to the female's eyes, which she quickly wiped away with her paw in case anyone saw her. Everyone always mocked her for being a crybaby.. she was just immensely empathic and emotional.. and sensitive to what people said or did.
She had completely forgotten about everything around her as she walked on, suddenly bumping into something warm, soft and slightly bigger than her. Falling back, Midori yelped as she looked up, only to see Enkai right in front of her. "E-E-E-Enkai?" she stuttered, somewhat shocked from the sudden encounter. "I-I was... hoping to.. meet you..."

The male only fell to the side as something bumped against him. He was completely wrapped in thought he really didn't care who bumped him, as long as they said that they are sorry, he can continue with his thinking. Which he couldn't at the moment after slowly looking down to his side. He didn't know either to frown, because he wasn't finish thinking yet or to smile because his lover was just standing there.
Either way. He wasn't... Really ready to talk to her, not yet.
His sleepy eyes only drifted in the back of his head as he sat up straight again, looking off into the lake. Trying not to get lost into his thoughts again. However, every time she is near, his energy only drowns. He doesn't know why now. Before, he was always happy to see her. Maybe it was because of what happened. All the crazy things they just went through. He really didn't know.
He didn't know what to say at the moment. He was only speechless as he was in the middle of his thinking, "Midori...", He said softly, his eyes still closed. As if he just wants to dive into the lake and never come back up, that was how tired he was.

Midori could tell that Enkai wasn't feeling well.. she might have been naive, but she wasn't stupid.
Sighing deeply, the female sat down a few steps away from the male, looking at him from the corner of her eye.
"Enkai.." she started then, trying her best to stay calm and keep her voice even. "We.. really need to talk. You know that this can't go on like this." She swallowed hard, pawing a few blades of grass to momentarily distract herself. She didn't want to break down in tears in front of him now. That'd just stress him even more.
"This isn't working, Enkai. Not like this. We.. either need to.. talk this through and solve the problem, or.." she paused then, biting her lip, "..or just end it."

"I know we need to talk... I just...", His voice almost sounded as if he was whispering to himself.
He just wanted to rest. Maybe they could talk another day, like tomorrow, when he actually has the energy to speak without tipping over to the side. However, it seems as if Midori couldn't wait anymore. She wanted to talk now. Maybe he could listen while she does all the talking. But that might anger her, as if he is 'ignoring' her. He didn't know what to do. Maybe he should just fall in the lake. Not like anyone cares.
"Maybe.... Maybe another day Midori...", he pauses for a moment, rising himself up, "I'm sorry. But I am very very tired and I still need to walk back home. And I do have a long walk before it gets dark, and I can't really see well in the dark."
Or in Enkai terms, he is terrified of the dark. He loved the sunset but always hate traveling back because he could never really see. He wasn't trying to brush her off as if she was nothing. However, he does want to make it home in one piece so he can go to bed already.

A sudden rush of anger came over Midori then. She'd had enough of him pushing her away, avoiding her when they needed to talk.
She took a deep breath before starting to talk, her eyes welling up with tears like so many times before, but this time out of frustration. "Enkai, we need to talk, now. I've had enough of this! Do you honestly want to be my mate or not?" she said then, her tone sharp and annoyed.
"Either we talk now or I'm ending it! I can't stand your behaviour any longer!"
She huffed, bristling her fur slightly. She'd never felt so angry before, but she wasn't going to let Enkai walk away.

"Fine...", He said quietly, sitting on the edge of the lake. He didn't understand why they couldn't talk tomorrow or in a sheltered place. With light.
"What do we need to talk about that is so important? Is something-", He paused while looking up at the sky. "Is something bothering you?", only staring at the sky now, maybe the only way to keep himself awake other than the soft breeze that passes by every now and then. He also dipped his tail in the water to bring him a cold shock every now and then as well. Because apparently Midori has something very important to talk about.
And he doesn't want to fall asleep in the middle of it.

Midori puffed out her cheeks, tempted to knock Enkai into the water and storm off.
"You've been avoiding me lately, and you hardly even talk to me", she started, trying her best to keep her voice even. "Last time I saw you, you literally pushed me aside. Is that how we're supposed to be? I thought you liked me.." her voice began to crack, her eyes welling up with tears again.
"I can't take this anymore. It looks like you lied to me all along about liking me.. and wanting to be my mate." She wiped her eyes with her paw again, refusing to cry in this situation. She had to make him understand that she was being serious.
"I.. I hate you, Enkai! You're nothing but a liar! I never want to see you again!" she finally yelled, turning her back to him and starting to walk away, biting her lip, secretly hoping he'd come after her...

Holding her back before she got to far, Enkai lay his head on the back of her head softly. tears came down his face. Was he really being that cold to her?
"Midori.... I... I had no idea.", He said softly, his voice wasn't completely even. "I'm... I'm so sorry. Please. Don't hate me." He lets her go and looks at himself in the lake.
He isn't normally like this. Why is it all happening now? Can he not be a good mate like he thought he could? These questions bothered him the most. He did love Midori, but he has never really been in any other relationship or really know what 'love' is actually. Maybe they should start over. A fresh beginning. This time, he'll get it right. For sure.

Her body still tense, Midori kept her eyes down, not sure what to say. Of course she didn't hate Enkai, she'd said it just to get some kind of a reaction out of the male.
"I.. I don't know what to do.. or think... anymore, Enkai.." she finally said, her voice soft but her tone making it clear that she was in pain.
"I just.. don't know."
Having been holding those tears back for a while now, Midori's eyes welled up again and this time she was unable to stop it. She cast a longing glance at Enkai, utterly confused. What should they do? Where should they go from here? She loved him, but.. she'd never realized that love could be so painful.
"I love you, Enkai.. I do, but... I just don't know how it would work for us.. W-we.. we might be.. too different, after all.."

"We're not that different. Of course every couple is going to have their differences but that's normal." He said look at the lake. "Maybe we can start over. Maybe try this all over again? Don't you think that is a good idea?"
Enkai was very confused. Have many mixed emotions. He was sleepy, sad, and other emotions. Too weak to keep his body up, Enkai fell in the lake like a flat rock and turned his head to the sky. Thinking of something to say. Anything. It was now getting too 'serious'. At least for him anyway. As tears stream down his face he thought of the perfect than.
Looking at Midori with a baby like face and yells, "Baby come back~"

For a moment Midori simply stared as Enkai fumbled and fell into the water. But as he looked at her with those teary eyes.. As ridiculous as it might have been, it still made her melt.
A soft smile spread on her face as she walked into the water, offering a paw to help Enkai up.
"I get the message.. I'm not going anywhere, I promise", she said, her tone soft and assuring.
How could she not want to stay with him? Enkai could be so serious and manly, and then at times so childish and silly. Being with him just.. felt right. Surely they could fix the problems they'd encountered lately if they truly wanted.
She giggled softly, blinking the last few tears out of her eyes as she nuzzled Enkai's cheek. "I love you, Enkai."

Small little paws pit pat along the dirt trail, only have droopy eyes with tears still lingering in them. The little Spica was looking for her father but could not find him at all. So she thought she could go on a search and find him on her own! Since her mother did tell her that her father was a Cetus. Maybe she can find her father after all since she is around the Cetus glade!
The little gladier peeks behind some bushes and spots a blue male that looks something like her. without the brown hair of course. She jumps up with happened and wiggles her back end in the air.
"Daddy!!", She exclaimed in joy.- - - Enkai smiles at Midori with his usual warm-hearted smile.
"I love you too Midori.", He smiles and then hear's a little pups voice. "Daddy? Where?"
He looks around but had to shake off all that water that was on him. The lake might felt great but the water wasn't all that clean. He only looks down at the pup and then at Midori. Why on earth did this little gladier call him dad? There are no other Spica's around, so he was very confuse. He hasn't even had a mate before Midori so this possibly couldn't be right.

Midori was slightly taken aback when the small Spica appeared seemingly almost out of nowhere, and calling Enkai "daddy"..?
She looked at the kit with a curious, yet slightly wary expression. The little one did have colouring slightly similar to Enkai's, but.. This had to be a misunderstanding. Surely the kit was just mistaken - there was no way Enkai could have had a kit!
"..and who might you be, little one?" the female asked the kit then, hoping for some kind of an explanation for this outrageousness. "Why did you call him Daddy? He's not your father, little girl."
