Want to debate over a certain topic? Well debate here! It can be about anything and when people are satisfied then move on to the next topic. Remember be friendly and don't flame or take what people say about their beliefs personally. It's their own views and they have the right to them.

Well I think writing and art are both equal arts and partners. Actually I think to a point they need each other. They are equals that complete each other to me, like peanut butter and jelly and both take just as much time to try to master.

Yeah, I mean...I can draw and write, but I'm not better at one than the other. I don't think.
They're both similar and different at the same time. I know someone who writes awesomely and is just phenomenal at it, and I just found out she's only twelve. And she writes like a professional. But then there are other people who are just as young and draw just as well as a famous artist.
And I feel like a little kid. crying
But both talents take a long time to master and require equal skill and practice. So one isn't really better than the other, right?

Homfg I know when I see like 12 year olds who are by far more talented than I am I just jaw drop it's utterly amazing how awesome some people can really be. It makes me very envious of them... However I've come to realize another thing though... They never seem to change their style or get any better at their work so in conclusion I don't think of them as being all that great anymore. 3nodding

True...my writing style has changed so much in the past two years... It's kinda funny...I've been writing and drawing since I was probably six or seven, but only in the past two years have I really gotten good at it. And my drawings just changed from 'laughable' to 'good' in about a week. But my writing took like...two years.

Yeah I've been drawing heavily all my life just recently in 2007 was the first break of when I stopped doing illustrations in which I feel proud of. However I know I've come a far way from what I used to be able to do that's for sure. 3nodding I have a lot of my old work I should show you guys sometime... It's kinda bad but considering that I was very creative growing up I think it makes up for the lack of talent at the time.
Cuz I go back and look over what I've done before and I new inspiration or ideas sometimes I even revisit my images that I've drawn before. Like a before and after image. Also like just last week I found a design on a different one of my now dead characters and I was putting it on one of mine that I have now. It looks so much better now than it did before the detail is better and crisper and it's a fresh look for my old crappy mind. DDDDx

Yeah...Sometimes I look at my old drawings and ask myself what kind of crack I was on... sweatdrop But mostly I don't look at the really bad ones...So I just go "Man...that's so...well, it could be better..."

xDD Yeah...once dai-chan drew a picture of an anime character...she was trying to copy it out of a manga or something...and...it was...horrible. I wish I'd kept it, but I chose to erase it and fix it. sweatdrop I couldn't stand to look at it.

Ah yes, I wish I had some of the comics I made when I was 10! They were so bad when I think about it but I had really good ideas, like I keep saying. xD;; My talent was very much lacking but the thought wasn't.

^^; All the story ideas I had when I was ten were just copies of other stories...But I've moved past that..I have two novels of my own that aren't really based off of anything! ...I hope... sweatdrop

I wrote one of my childhood friends a story about us having a time machine and I gave it to him before I ended up moving. xDDD I still wish I had that book. XDDD;;;;
And then when I was 10 I made a bunch of comics with characters that I made up which were loosely based on my friend and myself. They were basically chimeras but at the time I didn't even know what chimeras were. xDDD I made up a whole new name for them and made them have super powers and they fought vilains. xDDD;
