Okay, I know all of you heard the news about Mechacon VI is going to be in New Orleans next year, but I want to hear your opinions. Would you rather like it in Lafayette or New Orleans, and why?
I personally prefer it in New Orleans because it is so much closer to Thibodaux.

I'd like it in Laf. because i LIVE in Laf. and i can get home if anything serious happens, like i get sick or something.
HOWEVER...there is more space in the N.O. hotel. More space = more people = more cosplays...
at first i was angry that Mechacon was moving to N.O., but it's cool now

Thats right it'll be able to hold more cosplayers. I'm working on my Mustang six pack already. (In Brotherhood Mustang has a six pack)

I was pretty mad at first for it moving but i can understand that weekend since it was so packed. I remeber they had a line for the dealer's room unlike they did last year since it was so packed. I don't mind now it's just the distance since i live in Lake Charles and that's at least a 4-5hr drive. The hotel is bigger though and pretty nice from what i've heard. The best thing is that they might get bigger named guests to come since it's in N.O and more people will attend which means like Chrono said more cosplay!!

I love that it is moving to New Orleans because it is a lot closer to where I live. Also, there are more things to do in New Orleans, the hotel is awesome, and there will be more convention space ^^

Hopefully the rave room in the N.O.'s Hilton will be bigger! I wonder where what building in N.O. will they have the cosplay contest at.

I nearly fell out of my chair spazzing, I was so excited that Mechacon was moving to NOLA. I live here in the city, so ever since Numa Rei took off after Katrina, I've always had to drive at least 4-5 hrs or more for a con. I'm working on getting most of my out-of-state cosplay buds to join me this year for Mecha.
