I was thinking the other day that a lot of writing for me (as far as process and motivation goes) is basically getting through the slug to write the scenes I actually want to write. You know, the scenes you plot in your head and you're like "******** YEAH I WANT TO WRITE THAT RIGHT NOW" but it's approximately ten billion chapters ahead of where you are.

Those scenes.

Personally, I make a huge effort to write my story in chronological order, because I know if I just write those scenes I'll burn myself out and won't want to connect anything. So I'll make notes of those scenes, but I won't actually write them until I get to them.

A couple of mine:
*later on in R&N, Iris cuts and dyes Kasume's hair to make him slightly less noticeable (seeing as how he's tall, loud, and has unruly BRIGHT WHITE hair on top of it) -- Kasume ties a lot of memory to hair/hair color and sort of regresses when he sees himself with dark hair.
*waaay later on, Janus and Arcisan get into fisticuffs. They're both pretty nasty fighters and they're both fighting with intent to keep fighting until the other person is dead or out of the way.
*the scene wherein Arcisan kills Iris. I'm still not a hundred per cent sure how I want to approach it, but I think it will be interesting to write.

*there are several scenes in the Mason and Leon story I want to write, if only because that story has a lot of fairly ridiculous situations going on. Mason hits Fannie in the head with an unopened pregnancy test, for instance.

I've probably got a slew of others, but off the top of my head, those'll do for now. What're yours?

XD These scenes are the only reason I write...I come up with some great scene and have to build something to make it make sense...

Dave seems to have, in his infinite scenarios, many opportunities to pick up a shot gun. My favorite is one where he actually shoots someone with it in an ill-fated attempt to rescue his girlfriend.

The scene at the beginning of BPWD where Hadyn gives the typical "clique breakdown" of the school to Porter that is at the beginning of every teen comedy movie. And then Porter finds out Hadyn is a chronic liar.

The scene where Nerv threatens Porter by holding her head over a burner.

That's about it for now.

N o t h i n g really matters. . .
♥ ☼ ♥ ☼ ♥ ☼ ♥

I have way too many, but a few I want to write are:

Colonel Thane Bricken's death. But that comes at the end of my nine book series, at the very end of the ninth book, and I'm not even done with chapter one of the first book. It seems really interested. He and Evangaline are watching as these things are released from something and the colonel finally thinks it's over and something tears right through him and kills him. One of my favorite characters, too.

The other one I want to write is about my character, who is indeed my world's version of a Nazi, and he gets into a fight with Lord Beelzebub of Hell. That is just epic sounding right there, and gets me hyped everytime I think about it.

I also want to write the scene where Wayne Argo and Captain Koslov are speaking and before they get into their epic fight. I've envisioned these things and they are epic-- yet my writing is not epic enough to pull it off. I also want to write about Hellsing's encounter with the infected humans. (They're infected with a virus.)

And about the scientist's (named Fekkai) alternate ending where he commits sucide. So much I want to write. And I want to write about Zuzumi and how she gets torn away from her sister and when Elda gets burned and when Ross becomes blind, but that's in the fourth book and up.

Bler.

Something along the lines of every major plot point I wrote in Draft One, but get to gorgeously re-vamp in Draft Two.

More specifically and future-gazing:
* Vitae telling Sabine the bare-bones story of how he wound up with a lung condition. I probably only look forward to this because I like writing about people lying through omission, and this whole scene is one enormous lie.
* Nathan's intro. It's going to be so different from what it was in the first draft. For one thing, Vitae is going to have a proper reason for disliking Nathan this time around, rather than just, "There's a .00001% chance that comment was actually an insult. HAET. D:"
* The bear attack, because it's going to have to be different, and I have no idea how I'm going to pull that off. But Vitae gets hurt, so it's okay.
* All the train scenes, because I've redesigned the trains and it's going to be interesting untangling the new seating arrangement.
* The drunken card game in which Vitae wins five minutes of Nathan's life (along with a substantial amount of pocket change).
* The soiree, where Vitae decides to use those five minutes to teach Nathan how to waltz so he'll stop ruining everyone else's fun.
* The Rift Chapters, because Nathan's hair reverts to its natural color, he grows stubble, and shows himself for a card-carrying wuss.
* The scene where Nathan sets Yinda on fire. Jericho's reaction is just precious.
* Nathan's dream sequence the night he gets possessed, because it's the only way to explain Rebel Chick and how Kyril killed-Vitae-but-didn't.
* The part where Sabine has to set Nathan's broken legs.
* If I get a chance, a flashback or series thereof for the purpose of explaining Genevieve and the incident at St. Celine.

Did anyone really need to be told that I'm looking forward to maiming everyone?

i have many, here are two.
in the same book.

Erebos held Hell's Scythe tightly in his hand while Zeus strode over to him.
Zeus picked up a lightning bolt and hurled it at Erebos. Erebos dodged it and rolled towards him. He swept the scythe at Zues, cutting at his feet.

the battle goes on, but Erebos eventually wins, killing Zues.

then there's a scene where the union of Erebos, Hades, and the Titans, breaks up with a large fight with the Gods, Erebos and Hades against the Titans. Hades is near death when Erebos shows up and kills most of the Titans, with Hell's Scythe. Erebos is now near death and is about to give up. Then his late mother, Hera inspires him, he gets up and overcomes it all, to kill the rest of the titans. Hades and Erebos rule olympus.
that's the end to it.

YEEEES.

(This is one of those things I always mean to have Dave do (particularly about his childhood), but when it comes to the big talky scenes, I tend to forget that it's an option. My good memory tends to fail me when I actually write, to the point I have a file of my "options" for certain scenes that I review.)

I'm pretty sure I want to skip to the scene where 5 guards, the prince, and the goat herder fight [spoiler!]the really big spider of big freaking jaws and massive aggressioness[/spoiler!]. However, I really need to finish off my current chapter, which needs more filler. Said filler I have decided will be wacky hijinks, but first I need to delete the sitting on their butts for a few days part, and the part where they were going for sammiches, since wacky hijinks will be vastly more entertaining, and z0mg I h8 rewriting before I'm done with rough drafts and this Chapter is taking waaaaaaaaaay to long already and Yes, I know this is a run-on sentence.

Especially since the
fight will take up a whole chapter by itself.

I want to write:

Aika's hissy fit - Because she's basically tired of everyone thinking she can do everything and she throws a fit because she knows she can't and her ego is bruised.

Natalia's Death - She finally confronts her sister, four years later. Finds out because of the prophecy, her sister has aged twelve years and is now twenty, and has become ruler of Egiel's shadows. Alora(the sister) then kills Natalia by ordering the shadows to destroy her, Naralia is jumped by several of them who've shapeshifted into different animals and then Aika and Edge come in, they shoot away a couple that burst into flame(which is actually what happens when a shadow/creature of the dark is hit with a light-magic attack), the next one they shoot has a good hold on Natalia's shoulder, and stays put, burts into flame and Natalia burns to death.

Edge's death - I haven't planned this out yet, but it shall be epic.

Alora's death - Or this one.

and Aika's eventual death.

Remy's breaking point. He's an idealistic teenage superhero, see, pure and noble in spite of everything the world can do to him. But he hasn't even begun to undergo his trials yet. He's going to be blamed, feared, hated, reviled, spat on, humiliated, shamed. And then he'll break. He will explode. Probably take out half the city block while he's at it.

Redemption: The THE 'fight' scene. The one after the one where they're driving home and a drunk driver t-bones Greg's car and Greg dies and Lauryn's leg is broken and the only thing that happens to Abby (besides the fact that her dad is dead) are some cuts and bruises. Yeah, the one where she's crying and Elliot comes in and she tells him to leave and never come back-- and he takes her seriously. I bawl like a baby every time I think about it, but I still want to write it.

Also, I want to write the scene when Elliot comes back after eight YEARS and Abby has married Dean (because she knows that's what he would have wanted so she could pass on the Lost Thing and they would be safe) and she has just found out that she is pregnant. And Elliot comes back, and she can't run to him and kiss him and they can't go back to the way it was because she's married to Dean. (Unless, of course, she never married Dean, which would make things a hell of a lot easier... hmm... Nobody ever said my characters had to live up to my personal morals...)

Anyway, I pretty much just want to finish Redemption so I can focus on all thirty of my other brainchildren.

I have about...three chapters before I can write this bit...it seems my webcomic is only going to be about 10 chapters long...

-Doc explains why he brings dead people to life (hitmen, flashbacks [blech], his brother dying in his arms)
-Doc getting tortured by the mafia! I think Z may also get tortured, but he doesn't feel physical pain, so they could just be doing it to get Doc to talk.

Gaaah sooo many. I'll break it down by story.

Dark Polaris:

Eclipse raeg: I really want to do this scene because it shows that Eclipse does, in fact, have his limits. And because whenever anyone is talking calmly and smiling while threatening to remove someone's spine I have to fight down the fangirl squeals. sweatdrop

Project ******** The World: Any time where Drazora comes close to snapping completely. Because it usually comes with heaping doses of pain. And I like Drazzy in pain.

Enter The Destroyer (Call me Rags!): I really want to write the scene where we actually get to meet my favorite nutjob. Because shi goes from biting off faces (literally) to being scarily cheerful about meeting the meatbags. ...Actually, most of hir "interacting with other people" scenes are going to be fun. Especially the one where she starts hamming it up with Jotun. THERE IS A SYMPHONY OF THE NIGHT REFERENCE. HOW COULD I NOT WANT TO DO THAT SCENE?!

EDIT: Hot damn I forgot: THe scene where Drazzy wake up to find out that he's missing three days of his life and his boyfriend and dad are dead. This is amusing for me because this is start of his attention/memory problems (he got hit in the head), AND his most recent memory of his boyfriend was a fight. heart I LOVE ******** WITH HIS HEAD, IT'S REALLY JUST TOO FUN~

Ashen Wings:

"Get offa mai property!": Meeting the Drazzy expy~ Mostly because he's got all the original Drazzyraeg and paranoia crammed into a 5'1" package. And you're trespassing. Yes, you can die if you say the wrong thing, that's part of the fun~

I CAN HAS ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE NAO?: The Locked In! routes. I'm saving those for last because: 1. ALL of these routes have Anti breaking, no matter what, and 2. Zombies. ******** YES.

The Eclipse expy: Because I Like Yandere. 8D Skoll is just so gloriously possessive and stabbity and and and *squee*. Can't wait to write out both it and all the ways you can die/otherwise not get a good ending after meeting him~

DP: Ragnarok:

Ragnhild's death and rebirth. Both of them.: For the first one, it explains why the Destroyer hates Jotun so much and for the second, diving into a pool of concentrated magic shoved her straight into godhood. By burning and rebuilding her until she absorbed all the magic. Fun! 8D

That one tenta-comic:

Drunk tentachick: While this one is still fairly early on, it's still freaking hilarious to see a completely plastered squidgirl trying to pretend she isn't drunk.

These are probably only interesting to me, but that's because I Have Notes that go into more detail.

Errrr... I have a few... Ans the only one that isn't fantasy is Phoenix Song!

War of the Dragon Clans (Needs a better name, I know)

-The big battle (Near the end, Its gonna be FOREVER sad )
-The Meeting where Shiamannd nearly attempts to kill Suhlora (After he figures out she killed his mother years before)

Blood, Ash, and Shadow

-Jessica nearly dies due to an ashen (Body stealer)
-The battle where Alauwren Dies
-When Nokirea is caused to work slave labor because of the secret that she is the most wanted criminal.
-Alaria kills the Shadow.
-The Shadow (Ashen) steals Nokirea's body.
[EDIT]-When Nokirea dies in the last chapter... and in the second book, where Alaria almost commits suicide.

Phoenix Song

-The Ending Line (Because it was stuck in my head since the beginning)

Burned by Ice

-The part where the main character (I forgot the name) is exiled from her tribe

Let me see...

Main Story (aka I need to find a better name)

- The scene where Baron Bloodbath bites Maharin for the first time. (I prefer not to imagine how many yaoi fanfics will sprout in the Interwebz after I publish the book. Nightmare fuel numbers.)

- When Tharigan transforms into a human-size wolf by eating roasted meat. Maharin lashes him and treats him like an ordinary dog.

- When Zaes pretty much steals his brother's girlfriend.

- The drinking game between Kyrion and Death. (spoiler Kyrion wins and gets unkillable. Death loses on purpose just to be able to punch Kyrion without killing him. )

- When Maharin and masked student "Hero"(spoiler actually Kyrian) have their first kissing scene in a romantic location. The first actual kiss was on Death's temple, which has skeletons as decoration and an adorable smell of sulfur and rotten meat.

Rikudan's Story (temporary name Overlord's Legacy)

- The Magic versus Technology match between the Evil Overlord and the Mad Scientist. They tie but explode the nearest kingdom.

- The "screw the rules I have a giant laser" scene, when Rikudan finds out monsters follow lasers the same way dogs do.

- The evil laugh chapter. I encourage the reader to laugh along.

Aisho's Story (meh, no creative names until now)

- Aisho showing he's a technophobe by freaking out near a computer.

- Aisho and Zorea playing a My Drawing Beats Yours match. You can't win this game without burning the paper.

I'll edit this post as I remember the other scenes.

Right now, I really want to write Alastair Dangraal's flashback. And that's the one continuity I'm not letting myself skip around in. But you know, before that I get to do a ton of subtext between Dangraal and Blake. Two dominant, aggressive personalities. With subtext. So. Much. Fun.

And Sherlock's fight and flashback, which exists in a continuity that I can skip around in. So... you might see that. Don't expect it to be climactic, it's pretty much a typical Death by Flashback, with added use of motifs that aren't motifs yet, because the parts where they're motifs aren't written yet. Blah.
