It's that time again, the mad dash known as the C&T Secret Santa extravaganza! For those of you unfamiliar with secret santa... GTFW!
I know I spoke about a bonus prize this year, but logistically it's probably not that feasible. I'll come up with some variation on the plan, assuming we do it next year.
As it stands, if you want in on the fun, I highly suggest sending me your name, gaia nick, and address on IRC, irc.esper.net. /msg _Brandon with the info. Make sure you get a PM back from me on gaia acknowledging receipt of the information.
Everything, of course, is confidential, and all addresses will be wiped to DoE standards when the party ends. If you have other confidentiality concerns, approach me in some other forum and we'll chat about them. At least one person last year had some serious concerns about release of personal info, and I'm happy to say that we had 0 problems.
This year, we will be sporting a $20 gift package (this includes shipping costs!). In order to avoid some of the issues from last year where people were having a hell of a time guesstimating what people wanted, I've come up with a novel suggestion method.
When you sign up, you are required to post to this thread. Your post will contain what you'd get for 5 of your bestest C&T pals. Please read through all posts, and try to make suggestions for people that haven't received it. We don't need 10,000 suggestions for Twist, we all know he wants whiskey. smile I want to solve the problem of, say, what the hell does ManhattanProject want for Christmas. Beats the hell out of me. smile
Names will be passed around on December 10. I expect everyone to have received their gift by 12/25/05. I know holiday shipping is a b***h, but I'm really hoping that if stuff gets sent with the 25th in mind, everyone will have their kit by the new year.
Now, for the fire and brimstone. Stiff a C&Ter on this and I will ensure that you're no longer welcome in this guild, I'm sure Ramiel will contribute a ban on IRC, and I'm generally going to make it my goal to erase your access to everything C&T. Oh, and you'll be publicly berated as a traitor. Please, make arrangements with the other party if money spontaneously dries up, and let me know about it. Don't just let the deadline slide.
That said, let the party begin! C&T Secret Santa 05 is ON!

Well, yes, I would be more thna delighted to dole out bans on IRC. Now if only I could get Ryuke to pass ownership over to me, lol. As for what I get people...hmmm
Xeon- A model kit, preferably gundam, methinks.
Sis- Tshirts or plushies, anything cute and silly, really
Kiro- Ky Jelly? Astroglide? Whoknows what this boy needs... but in all seriousness...hmmm, I think he'd take just about anything, really. Kiro would love anything that was hcosen with love
FraX- Enough money to send me enough money to mail him his video card
Safe- an anatomically correct doll of some sort. He will curse your name for a long time, and we'll just laugh and laugh
Kederaji- A large, red cross
I'll post more later as they come, but these are good enough for now. Some are serious, some are mean, but it's all good, lol.

I really don't know what to get anyone. Is it safe to assume, that since this is C&T, I could just send some random computer equipment and everything would be okay? xd
Seriously, though, I'm in if I ever get my paycheck. I was kinda shafted out of one, and still waiting for my next. Right now I have about $11 to my name, and a couple dollars I borrowed from mom... and it doesn't help that I get paid monthly.

Hmm, what to get people....
Sheepy: Assorted car goodies to get his Z working. Mabey a shift knob or something. Edit: He wants RAM, pc2700+ he says. Ked: A book on digital logic so I don't have to help him with his homework anymore. Ophi: An umbrella (He lives in Seattle after all). Safe: A funny bumper sticker of some sort (something like "BIG TRUCK-LITTLE WILLY?") Nina: Something hand made. Or various Lock-On goodies.

I'm in, but vastly confused on what we're supposed to do.
And is it okay if we give something used? Or would that be bad? sweatdrop

[Q] I'm in, but vastly confused on what we're supposed to do. And is it okay if we give something used? Or would that be bad? sweatdrop Used really depends, especially concerning what each person needs. Used computer kit might be perfect for some, but not others. Used undies, on the other hand, would generally be frowned upon.

I'm working on making a nifty picture type johnson with lit-up plexiglass, but I don't have the details ironed out just yet. I'm not much of an artist, but I'm sure I could dremel something in it that peoples would like. sweatdrop
As for used stuff, I personally wouldn't mind it as long as it works. ninja

I could work 1.34 hours on a CAD drawing for someone if they want...
um... donate $20 to Gaia for someone?
I don't know you people well enough it seems. Damn my busy lifestyle.

Free USB drives are never bad. I'm in again this year. I have my own money this time.
Good books fall into the 20$ category generally, so if you find out what kind of books peole like that can be a gift.

Being I dont have enough cash to pay rent as it is, let alone buy Christmas presents for my imidiate family, I will not be participating, sadly.
But, for those of us who are poor and hungry, could we set up a Gaia secret Santa, for all who want to participate? Gifting of items and such?
Anyway, Ill still lay down ideas of what to get people.
Genrealy, Girls Adore chocolate. heart You cant go wrong. They will love you forever. Especially dark chocolate. Yum.....
And Then Boys, from what I have been told, like varying amounts of condoms, hard liquor and cigarettes. The amount varies depending on the mysterious forces of the universe.
Seriously though, here we go:
Sisk: Wants a hippopotamus for Christmas. Only a hippopotamus will do. She Don't want a doll, no dinky Tinker Toy, she wants a hippopotamus to play with and enjoy. No crocodiles, no rhinoceroses. She only likes hippopotamuses, and hippopotamuses like her too. wink
Twist: Sex, guns, and videotape. As mentioned, condoms, liquor (hard) and condoms. Oh! Dont forget the cigarettes!
Xeon: Something with AMD slathered all over it.
Ryuke: Shurikins.
Sheep: Actually, send all the condoms his way.
Josef: All your base.
Safe: A Dessert Eagle. (its a gun)
Me: Winning Powerball numbers. sweatdrop
Gloin: Mac OS X, x86 version.
Kiro: Buttons to play with, and lots of smokes.
MP: Glow in the dark enimies, so he can see them sneaking up on him.
Eddie: Admin status.
Excel: Hentai. Lots of it.
Futo: Fingerpaints.
Broken Hope: Ninja Vison.
NinaV: Lots of tabletop RPG stuff.
Charley: Something amazing. Not amazing, amazing. There is a difference.
Tel: Snips and snails and puppy dog tails.
Hotfeet: Some Dr Scholls.
[Q]: A new leash.
BPrice: Tasty bits.
FraX: Some scissors, to run with.
Mizufusion: A do-it-yourself Fission kit.
Catsoup: --;
Dexen: A Hoola Hoop.
Lady N: Warm and fuzzy blankets.
U-23x: A box of stray kittens.
Shinobi: 2 and a half internets.
Ophi: X-ray Vision.
Phen: The ability to hit people through the internet(s)
Saint: Assasin-like mind bullets.
Bunnyhop: A Japanese schoolgirl, fresh from the box.
New Hades: The Old Hades, for old times sake.
Crosshatch: Anything that goes "Arf!"
Lanackse: The sky.
drakan: dance lessons.
Yumi: Lots of little cute things.
Arethic: !Ban powers.
Celia: Something PSO-ish.
Btype: a 3x multiplier.
Sixteen-bit: A Xbox 360, of course. He needs an upgrade.
MrMadman: 12 dozen donoughts.
Zeph: Anything tomboyish.
Sholtar: As big of a tank as he can drive.
Kederaji: A new bed.
Imaruki: Jedi Secrets.
Black Ex: A "Make Balck Ex Not Cry" Button.
Callan: Top hat, monocle, and cane.
Joda: A lightsaber, of the color blue.
Skye: Jolt Cola.
Nika: Kitty cat claws.
If I forgot anyone, I sincerly appologize. Just let me know, because Im sure I forgot someone.

A hippopotamus? :0 Well, I hope it fits in my tiny living room and doesn't mind arctic weather!
Also, I second the fact that we should have an on Gaia gift/item/art exchange for our members so that everyone can participate 3nodding

Kiretsu Twist: Sex, guns, and videotape. As mentioned, condoms, liquor (hard) and condoms. Oh! Dont forget the cigarettes! Mizufusion: A do-it-yourself Fission kit. I think I like Twisty's gift list better.. though if that fission kit comes with Uranium-235, I'm all for it. I could use some more Technetium around here. Can you believe they'll charge about $85 for a gram of that stuff?
Seriously, though, I like computer parts. They don't even have to be new, as long as they're interesting. Scientific equipment is good, too. And fuzzy cute things.
