I recently began listening to the remasters that came out yesterday, and I must say that the songs have been treated so well.
There are some songs that don't have much tonal differences, but then there are the few that sounds PHENOMENALLY better.
I wanted to get your opinions on the sound; what you think, what you like or don't like.

I have the remastered Help and Rubber Soul albums, and I was pretty much blown away by the remastered version of Nowhere Man. The harmonies are so clear, I literally had to stop and stare at my boombox for a minute.

I'm listening to Within You Without You on Sgt. Peppers, and it's giving me chills it's so epic.

I bought the White Album and Abbey Road. Long, Long, Long and Oh! Darling sound much better.

I just bought the remastered versions of Please Please Me, A Hard Day's Night, and Abbey Road, and I'd have to admit, they are pretty clear quality.

Ugh... I couldn't stand the Come Together remake.
Come together... right now... Come together... right now... Come together... right now... over me.
It's too overdone! gonk
Otherwise, what I've heard is pretty good.

Or are you talking about that one commercial that covered Come Together that really sucks?

Great goodness, I have enjoyed the remasters magnificently! Most of the previous stereo mixes, especially in the later half of the career, seemed to lack fullness in sound. These new remasters have done a good job of balancing it all out well. Some tracks still seem a bit...light...but I'd say the remasters are wonderful and worth the time it took to get them out here to us. I wanted to get the mono boxed set because of my phonetically picky ears, but when I discovered it did not include Past Masters or Yellow Submarine, I obviously went with the stereo, which costs less...another fortunate happening. It is ALL good, let me assure those of you who have not heard it all yet.

i envy everyone with over 2 remastered albums. i only have magical mystery tour. when my dad saw it he was all like, "what?! why did you buy this?!" and i was like, "i didn't buy it. uncle gave it as a gift." and he was instantly all chill. he doesn't like wasting money on songs when you can download them for free. it sucks. you can say the remastered albums are why i fell for the beatles again, not because of rockband. i'm different.

I've heard most of them (still need to hear White Album! mad ) I was actually disappointed by the strereo remaster of Revolver, especially Side Two (tracks 8-14). The vocals seemed like they weren't loud enough if they were in the center. Anyone else hear this?
Edit: Must've been the speakers I was using at the time. Downloaded (yeah, i know, shut up) the whole set earlier in the year and I gotta say they sound really good. I got the ORIGINAL stereo mixes of Help that were on the mono album. I even got the Rock Band stems too so I can do my own remixes, especially for Rubber Soul. smile
