So I got Beatles Rock Band for my birthday (best game ever. =D). I discovered that While My Guitar Gently Weeps is on it. I played it, and it was one of the best damn songs I've ever heard. Now I'll admit that there are a lot of Beatles CDs I don't have. The only cd I have While My Guitar Gently Weeps on is Love. I've had that CD for a while, and thought that was just how the song went. I'm so mad that they changed it that much. I mean, it sounds cool with pretty much an acoustic guitar with light background stuff, but geez. It sounds amazing the way it is. I mean, I had a freaking Beatlesgasm when I heard it on Rock Band.

Let It Be " Naked" is a lot better than the Love CD in my opinion. -.- Who would want remixes of the greatest songs ever made? They're stunning,, don't ruin the beatle-y wonder of it by making remixes

I checked out the Love cd from the library, and it was pretty disappointing... Maybe it would make more sense if I had seen the Cirque de Soleil show or something, but it wasn't really anything to write home about...

Now, I heard all of their albums long before 'Love' ever opened or released a CD, and I absolutely love some of the remixes on that. Especially "Octopus' Garden", with the little bit from "Good Night" on it. And of course, "Here Comes The Sun" makes me Beatlesgasm, with all of it's delicious glory.
And I absolutely love the acoustic version of 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'. You can hear it on the Anthology album, and it's sounds so heartfelt and sad that way.

You guys have to remember that that album was made for the Cirque Du Soleil show so that the performances would blend better together.
It's not their fault you bought that album and didn't realize it was all remixes.

I love the version on Rockband blaugh It turns out that is how the song originally sounds like. I'm pretty sure that version of the song, 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps,' is on the Beatles White Album. It's funny, because every time I search for this original version, it turns out the song is live. So I can only find the Live version on the web. emo But that's OK, as long as it's, 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' and nothing has changed I'm happy blaugh 4laugh LOL

...Seriously? How can you people not have the White Album? gonk ...This is coming from the person who has both the Capitol and Apple versions of the record, as well as two different CD versions... seriously, go get it right now. Personally, it's my favorite thing the Beatles ever did.

^ I totally agree. I don't see how you can be part of a Beatles guild and not own all their regular albums.
You guys also have to remember that the version of Revolution on RockBand isn't the original version that's on the album. So I don't see how you could lose respect for anything when they have different versions of tons of songs for everything.

When I bought the CD, I didn't know anything about the Beatles except that the handful of songs I had heard by them sounded pretty cool. And I haven't had a chance to own all their albums. I don't exactly have money. I get money once a year on my birthday, and I usually end up spending it on crap for my trumpet and stuff.
I didn't know the CD was all remixes. It is a little more enjoyable now that I actually know the songs. I still don't like it very much though. I'll definitely admit that I'm not as hardcore fans as you guys. I just like the music. Maybe there should be stipulations about that when joining the guild or something if it's going to turn into a deal if you don't own all the albums. I don't know. Or care, actually.

Okay, a lot of people don't have tons of money but if you don't know all their songs then don't go cutting up things that you don't know anything about.

I personally dig Love's version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps way more than the original. It's much more intimate, and it's actually just George and his guitar, no Eric Clapton.

Ugh... I saw an ad last night where they butchered All You Need Is Love. We anti-remakers should start singing "You've Got To Hide Your bad Talents Or I Will Fix Your Hole Because I'm So Tired And All You Need Is To Let The Beatles Be!!!" (If you get all the song titles in that you win a prize of nothing).
