The older male hummed softly as he spent some time laboriously enjoying the breeze, as well. The callibre of lounging he was performing was hard to meet, even by an experienced master of the art of Laze. -It comes with age,- it couls be said. -When you start getting older, you just don't do as much anymore,- others would continue to argue. Truthfully, he was just a bit tired, napping as he sprawled accross the large, half-fallen log.

The soft sound of dainty pawpads on the leaves, crunching beneath them softly, travelled over the air, and the breezy scent of a femme. His ears perked to the sounds of the swivel of muscles all wolves had, and his mind identified that there was, indeed, a fae near what he considered his territory. Baron sighed, hopping down off the log and beginning to wander slowly towards the location of the sound of soft, crunching leaves, until the rosy-brown fae came into view.

He gave a soft bow, stepping out of a partition in the bushes. "Good morn." He said, genteelly, as he perched himself calmly on a soft patch of grass. "To what do I owe the pleasure of such a flower among my weed garden?"

Baron smiled and shook his head, then chuckled softly at the introductions. "And, the creature is fanning itself quite well, if I do say so, myself. Poor nocturnal thing." He smiled, tracing the back of one pawdigit over the bat's back with a touch a sleeping kitten wouldn't detect much of. "No, I'm undisturbed. I have a prime lounging place, if you'd like to take part for a few minutes. You can hear a waterfall from it, if you listen carefully and stay quiet."

He chuckled, nodding. "I'm aware. I thought the play on words too amusing to pass up the comment." He smiled softly, waving towards the path he'd come here from. "Shall we, then? Perhaps after some lounge, we could go find the source of the Ambience to meet our ears? I don't recall ever having purposely met with one, either."

He hummed and smiled, nuzzling her forward. "It's not necessarily wisdom, but now you can use it, as well." The old codger led her to his current favorite spot; the c**k-eyed log. "Feel free to get comfortable, then be real still for a few minutes and close your eyes. If it doesn't help you feel more relaxed, I'll go sit in the lake 'till the false sun falls from the sky."

Baron smiled, climbing the log to perch near Dakota as he'd been instructed. He seemed to have no problem letting his old muscles sprawl over the length of tree, humming as he began to slip off, his eyes drifting closed as he returned to his lounging laze from earlier. After a few moment, the sounds of the forest began to return, including the soft, barely-detectible babbling brook and the soft gurgle of a small waterfall a ways off, somewhere towards the east, most likely.

Baron let his hourglass rest in his paws, standing against his head as the sand filtered through it. He would continue to be mindless of his surroundings... Or... Well, appear that way, until the odd little trinket began to run low on sand at the top, when his eyes slid open to watch the sand filter through the small hole, before he flipped it, smiling down at Dakota softly. A thought filtered through his head, much like the sand in the jar. The thought was fleeting, though, and he quickly lost it. He shrugged softly, pushing his nose softly into her fur, just under her chin. "Miss Dakota? Would you like to go find that waterfall, now, perhaps?"

The thing jerked out of Dakota's paw-reach as Baron leapt off the log, threading his tail around it's center to carry it that way, as he had grown accustomed to doing while on the go. He was quiet for a long moment, waiting for her at the base of the tree, hourglass tucked quietly within the loop of his tail. "It is... A life-counter." He said, floundering for any real name or description. He'd never understood it, really. "I'm not sure of much... But if the sand stops, there will be one-fewer wolf in this world." He glanced at the comparative levels of sand in the glass. "An... Old friend... Left it with me."
