My dad has banned me from the beatles for a week so that I will "expand my musical horizons." The thing is, I kind of listen to just the beatles (I've only recently discovered them, so I'm still in the wow-this-is-so-cool stage.) I would very much appreciate: a) Sypathies b) music to fill the void with.
P.S. I wasn't sure if this went in the off-topic subforum, so if it does, I apologize in advance.

Aww. There's nothing worse than being banned from the beatles. Here are some other bands
1. The Who 2. Electric Light Orchestra 3. Roy Orbison 4. The Beach Boys

Try these on for size.
Cilla Black The Fourmost Billy J. Kramer And The Dakotas
The best thing is, each of those artists have recorded Lennon/McCartney compositions.

I'm so sorry... my sympathies, I can't imagine what I'd do if my parents cut me off from the Beatles, seeing as my iPod is about % Beatles songs, lol.
I don't really know any suggestions right now, though... But you could try listening to Paul, John, Ringo, or George AFTER they left the band and went solo... technically it wouldn't be the Beatles, right? Hehe.

I've listened to The Beatles everyday for about four months and my mom finally snapped this afternoon, she said and I quote... "I'm not listening to The Beatles for another day in my life!" I said "..." and just about died inside

Tangerine_Monster There's an oldies station? OMFG. Depending if you're in the vicinity of a big city, there should be at least one or two oldies stations. if that's not in the cards, then go here.

I think I would explode if I were banned from listening to the Beatles for an entire week. Now I don't necessarily listen to them every day persay, but going an entire week without listening to the Beatles would kind of be torture.
Although I would probably just fill the void with solo stuff from the guys
