This is the One Shot that Suze prompted first post.

"Oi! What are we doing today?" Sirius asked his friends as they sat out near, but not too close to the whomping willow.

Peter looked in his bag and pulled out a couple of carrots and a sealed container of applesauce. "I don't know about you all but I'm hungry."

Lupin looked up from his school work and shook his head. "We better not be doing anything rash, we need to study for tomorrow's test. It's going to be a hard one."

"Oh don't be such a stick-in-the-mud Lupin." James laughed at the thought of spending all day studying. "You know I got this idea this morning in potions that would kick your socks off."

Peter ginned as he thought. "Does it have anything to do with Snape?" He grinned even more, hopeful that he was right.

James just jumped up and pointed across the yard where Snape was talking to another Slytherin by the lake. "Who bets that I can't make the oaf fall in from here?!"

Peter clapped his hands together, "I knew it! And I know you can Potter! You can do anything!"

Lupin scoffed, "Another night of detention is what I foresee for us. Why can't we just study?!"

Sirius shook his head. "No one can do that James! And we don't want to study Lupin. Besides you can always just grab up your purse and be the snitch and not have detention with the rest of us." He knew Lupin would never do it.

Lupin just turned and continued reading is school books, trying to ignore the others.

James looked at Sirius. "What you want to bet? I'll bet a bag of Bertie Botts I can do it."

Sirius shook James's hand. "I'll bet the same that you can't."

James took out his wand and turned back towards where Snape was still talking to his fellow house-mate and took care to aim, taking a few minutes, making sure the shot was perfect.

"Hi James!" Lily popped up in front of the boy, holding two teddy bears, one with Gryffindor colors and one with Slytherin colors. She startled James, making him fire the spell, hitting her. She flew back a few feet and she laid there, holding her chest, the wind knocked out of her.

"Oh my goodness! I'm sooo sorry Lily!" James ran over to the girl as Peter just laughed at his mistake. Lupin and Sirius ran over to help Lily up.

"It was definitely flashy but I told you that you couldn't do it." Sirius said in a stern, worried voice.

Lupin started checking her over and then performed a healing spell. "I told YOU that we should be studying. But NO! You had to try and play a prank and now look! Lily's hurt!"

Lupin's shouting attracted McGonagall and more students, including Snape, who immediately started swearing at James and swung a punch his way.

"You stop this this instant! Twenty points from Gryffindor for harming a fellow student! And twenty from Slytherin for swearing and starting a fight! And all five of you can accompany Filch for detention this evening!" McGonagall picked Lily up and carried her off.

Lupin scoffed again. "I told you!"
