Actually there is an armour from the 16th century called anime. I read it in a new book I recieved from the met, its an encyclopdeia of weapons and armour.

which makes no sense at all, it just a name nerds gave it. and I would call it copy right infringement since I apprectiate the armour more, and this does not go into the nonsense villiage.

But theirs a big time gap between the two so it would be nonsence for some one to say copyright infringement on it.

Anime is just slang.
You know how f*****t has numerous slang terms but it's actual(or so I've heard) meaning is a bundle of sticks. :I
Same goes for this.
Plus, changing the name right now would pretty much piss everyone off and people would still call it anime.

You can do that with just about anything though. Mabye it is like Master Chief's armour it is called Mijor (sorry if misspelled) and that means Thor's Hammer for he himself is the weapon.
